Wasn't he involved as an 'adviser' during the Rubery tenure? I heard he was part of the gravy train at the time but am happy to be corrected if my info is duff

Deffo damaged goods in my opinion, once he went to the skip. Roy Ellam went there at the same time but forgave him after he gave away 4 goals in his first game for them (at Chelsea I think) and rarely played for them again. And returned to Town.

Hardly town if he played 400 games for Leeds, didn't he try take them over in the mid 2000s?

Hardly town if he played 400 games for Leeds, didn't he try take them over in the mid 2000s? Frank Worthington and Denis Law spent the vast majority of there careers at other clubs didn't stop them having legendary status here. Cherry was an integral part of our last foray into the top division, deserves the same recognition as the late 'Chopper McGill' imo.

Voted their 30th best player(wiki) as a player was a credit to both clubs.

Frank Worthington: 828 club performances and only 171 for us. Still a Town Legend. Trevor Cherry I would say is a bigger legend for us than Jimmy McGill. He was one of ours, we schooled him, integral part of a promotion winning side to the top flight, AND he played for his country!

My mum knew Trevor Cherry when they were both kids -- they both went to junior school at Stile Common. She never had that much time for him tbh, but as she didn't give a damn about football I assume that was something personal

Isn't he a director of SoccerCity or something...I vaguely remember reading it when the one in Leeds opened.
I'm sure he had his name to the plans for the 'Waterfront' (I think) development which was either where the new Kirklees College building is, or maybe just a tiny bit further away from Hudds.

Always stood out in my Dad's old programmes did Cherry. I was at Greenhead College with his son. Played twice as many games for Leeds as Town, indeed I remember the back end of his career. Are you my alter ego? I Played footy for greenhead with Ian and les massie's son (forgot his name) and dad had a big programme collection: Sent from my HTC One mini 2 using proboards

As much as we like to laugh at leeds, has Cameron Stewart got a chance of winning that? He's still been getting paid, all be it by a different club?
Claims he could have earned £800k more playing for leeds this season (9 months). That suggest leeds were going to pay him £89k more a month (£22k a week) more. Nah
Someone correct me.

You may well be right but it doesn't lessen the dishonourable conduct of Leeds United (think that may be one of them oxymorons)

He signed a three year deal with Leeds.
