Will only say its good deal if we bring someone in for the money we got for him ...i know we got Whitehead but depends how CP wants to mould his squad and at end of day he didnt see him as a part of what he is trying to do here ...so hopefully someone else will come in

There will have been a release clause..........we don't need to sell, and the board are notoriously good negotiators. The deal has been struck too quickly not to have, and once Coady said I want to go it's about moving on as soon as possible with a replacement. Instead of bemoaning the situation, we should rejoice in the fact that we have been promoted whilst smashing our old exit transfer record several times with deals for Rhodes, hunt, pilks, clayton and now Coady.......not to mention the profits made on pelts twice and Norwood. Yes it could all go wrong........but I comfort myself in knowing that dean won't just walk away a la rubery - he has funded a massive transformation behind the scenes whilst overseeing a one division uplift in standard on the pitch. Breathe fellas.....it's a long way to go til 31 aug!!!!! If there was a release clause he wasn`t an appreciating asset. sorry but you may need to explain that view. as I would understand it an asset that was paid for at £375K and sold for £2M has appreciated in value what am I missing?

I know we are a selling club and we just have to live with it. However, I am most unhappy when we sell to clubs in our division, it's OK to clubs either above or below us but it often comes back to bite us with teams in our division. Comments? But what if Wolves were prepared to pay more than anyone else....? Its not like we're Chelsea with a billionaire owner able to pick and choose who he will allow to buy his players. To be honest when we play Wolves next, Coady will be pretty far down the pecking order in terms of players I'd be worried about anyway

Still, ne'er mind, eh? Sunday tomorrer - let's see what Town-related drivel the Sunday rags throw up in the 'transfer talk' columns!

If we spend the Coady money on a shit hot centre half all will be forgiven.

It didn't take much time to make you look a contradictory fool. Are you saying you'd have rejected the £2m bid & used him as an impact player? Expensive bench warmer that! Please tell me Duane Holmes was in the starting 11 ... That would send me over the edge If it's Longwood Edge or anything higher,I have it direct from CP Duane is starting at Hull and he has been made captain this season.

If there was a release clause he wasn`t an appreciating asset. Beg to differ kes.....the lad turned down bigger offers to come to us because he knew he would play here if he performed decently...........as such if we had a decent offer for him then he would want to move onwards and upwards with a view to returning to the prem ASAP surely and therefore the trigger clause goes in. And therefore we`ve sold him for the maximum possible if said 2m clause exists.

Depends if the clause was fee related or that town were duty bound at2m to tell him of another clubs interest I suppose.

Surely were a buying club,as we don't have a glut of academy players in the team,or do our players grow on trees?
