Indeed, this lad is the second coming of Dennis Bergkamp. Will Powell see it and play him up-front:

QPR lucked into £11mm on the Sterling deal apparently. I don't know if anyone has asked you before, but why do you always type 'mm' for million?

It's the proper way to do it My background is in the oil industry and finance . It's m x m or 1000 x 1000 = 1,000,000. That's how we write a million barrels of oil mmbo or a million quid £1mm. Thought Miller and Wells got in to a mm good positions round the box today but we're not quite good enough to take it on and score.

MM is Roman numerals for a million. Finance types use it.

If you put £1m on a financial forecast though, it's considered 1 thousand. It's technically wrong, but derived from Roman numerals would have been a better explanation.

His best chance now is impressing a new manager at the club.
Really felt for him today, togged off and warming up when it looked imminent that Hogg was coming off. Can't fault the lad's heart. Lolley was the same, these lads are burning to wear our shirt on the pitch.

Wasn't this lad supposed to miles better than our academy/development lads? He seems to be following the same track as them that's for sure.

Or do you think maybe they may have a point ( by not picking him) and he's not quite ready yet ? Surely the second theory is a possibility ( I haven't seen him play so can't comment )

One of my biggest frustrations is that we say that some of these players are not quite ready, but don't give them an opportunity to make the step up. Dempsey I will admit is a different scenario as he's only arrived in the summer and the club obviously see a lot more of him than anybody on here does, but we have players like Lolley who during his spells on the pitch has looked like one of the only creative outlets on the pitch... something we surely should be trying if we're struggling for goal threat as much as we are. In addition to Lolley we have various highly rated players within our academy who haven't had a decent run in the first team yet, going back to the end of last season when we were safe with several games to go everyone was expecting to see a side mixed with these prospects and we got limited appearances from a couple of them.
Our academy has finished in the top few in the development leagues for the last few seasons, why is it that we're not seeing some of them progress through? I hate to make to the comparison to Leeds but they've given good chances to several of their youngsters and seem to be seeing the benefits, I just have more hope for our academy.

Nick
Emyln Hughes may have a future in the game but more defensive for me, Chris Powell will see this he's no mug on the defensive side of the game.
We could sing a song something like this
Come on without Come on within You've not seen nothing Like the mighty Emlyn

Surely the second theory is a possibility ( I haven't seen him play so can't comment ) Re Dempsey I take it... If he's not ready to be a sub why is he on the bench? And he's unlikely going to start until he's had game time from the bench. The rare times he did get game time earlier in the season most reports were favourable. Re Lolley... You saw what he can do with your own eyes the other week when you were telling me he looks like a potential £8m player. I'd love to see his stats from when he actually starts a game, seems to me to get a goal or assist in 50% of his starts. Generally I think CP lacks the cahones to take the plunge with them. Which is a shame because I like him. That's my take on it as a mainly radio, TV highlights and football forum man anyway.

Unfortunately for him his position is sean Scannells position.. But lolley has the talent to be better imo.. Re dempsey as I say I've not seen him... Sounds like a raw uncut talent... Seems like powell doesn't trust him as a starter.. Whether powell,is right or wrong I couldn't say tbh

Lolly could play the no 10 that pato has been brought in for has the ability and the shooting prowess but Powell won't pick him even tho in pre season he was on fire. Dempsey a midfielder that we were told is intelligent and breaks the lines going forward and good ability however does not fit into a defensive unit so does not play. It's all getting a bit tiresome now
