Dont think we need a rb,powell will use whitehead there when needed,he played enough there for boro last season,we already have the midfielders here to replace Butterfield when he goes in dempsey and Huws, they both will be able to replace him,i dont buy this not ready stuff, its bullshit, also although butts is a very good player, hes no where near worth the money being talked about which brings me to the strikers. This is the position that if we dont strengthen will see us relegated. Vaughan is hardly fit and looks to be off anyway, wells and miller are simply not good enough, maybe if Powell played them an orthodox front two they would do better but still wouldn't score that many,we loaned the other kid out which is baffling, leeds have shown with wood what a difference a decent striker makes, yes i know they cost, yes i understand about wages, but with vaughan and smithies off the wage bill we have to think bigger than loans or freebies,if not this team.who played well in parts apart from the final third yesterday, will get relegated.

with the football league and FAs complete inability to deal with FFP, this transfer window has shown how unfair this league really is. There really is no way town can compete financially at this level as things stand. We need to be shrewd on both the managerial situation and buying from the lower leagues.

Need to spend the vast majority of what we have on a striker should be plenty of money now smithies and looks like Vaughan off the wage bill, somebody like tom Bradshaw would be ideal scoring goals for fun and only young I did however hear yesterday that we have sordell lined up on loan fingers crossed that isn't true.

We need players... to leave. Scannell (for decent money to fund transfers Butts might have done.), Vaughan, hammill ideally a couple of defenders as well.. We need players to stay Butts and wells. We need to get in replacements/new additions. RB/RWB CB and 1 or 2 strikers... Ive left the midfield as we have dempsey and huws who may go well. I truly don't think we far off , another 40 odd performances like yesterday and we will be mid table , Smith has his limitations but I wouldn't waste money on a replacement . Keep Butts , Scanz and get me a CB and striker please Mr Hoyle

Bring in a new right back and move Smith back to center back.
A winger that has a good end product (or just give Lolley a better chance!)
A striker that is capable of playing up front on their own so we can play 433 well and drop Wells and Miller.
We should be sorted with that. Wells really isn't great there's a good reason we got him so cheap compared to the prices of other strikers in this league. Scannell is class at getting down the line but once he's there nothing comes from it he needs to work on his end product more than anything.
The best business we can do is to keep Butterfield. What a player.

I thought Cranie looked very shakey yesterday. That is likely to be down to his lack of game time though. What we don't need is another goalie. I'm very impressed with Murphy and we need to start blooding Allinson Strange how we see things differently - I thought Cranie looked very composed on the ball and read the game well. Our distribution from the back was far better when he came on. A mate who I saw today went to the game yesterday and said exactly the same! It's all about perspective I guess.

How would we have won comfortably? As well as we played in some respects we hardly created any chances! You can criticise Miller and Wells for aspects of their performances yesterday, but neither had any really good chances. Perhaps with better quality in the final third both may have created better chances for themselves, but their team mates were hardly creating much for them. Any striker would struggle to score the way we are playing at the moment. Look at Austin for QPR - the game passed him by due to lack of service. Off the top of my head, Scannell made a great run into the box and squared it across the 6 yarder, open goal. Where was wells? Running like a headless chicken straight over to Scannell instead of positioning himself for the cross. We made plenty of chances, played the better football, just need a geezer to put it in the net. We'll have to agree to disagree on that one I'm afraid.

I always thought we needed a centre-back, however Hudson is playing better than I expected and the unknown Cranie is proving a hit, Lynch and Wallace also two good Players in that position, Lynch brilliant on his day Yesterday makes me think we need to look at perhaps right back and a lack of goals is a worry but is that due to lack of real chances or the Strikers not scoring the chances?. I can't make my mind up!. I thought Cranie looked very shakey yesterday. That is likely to be down to his lack of game time though. What we don't need is another goalie. I'm very impressed with Murphy and we need to start blooding Allinson I thought Cranie was excellent yesterday. Won his headers, tackled well, looked composed on the ball. Opinions eh!

18 months ago Murphy could not get into a very poor Coventry net and now at 18months older he's our saviour ? Really ? Give Allinson a go

Played nearly 140 times in his 3 years there. 2. He's been excellent for us this season. Good saves, great communication, good distribution.

Ok I bow to you on point 1 I thought he was the reserve keeper when he came to us I apologise , as for point 2 I'm unsure I hope you are right as means we can put the Smithies money to other use, I still feel given his age wouldn't hurt to give Allinson a go
