1. The 2-2 draw with Man City in the FA Cup 1987/88, just a few weeks after the 10-1 game. I was stood in the Cowshed, right behind Gidman's free kick in the 98th minute (or whatever it was, a ridiculous amount of injury time). Horrible feeling when that goal went in. Absolute mayhem in town afterwards.
2. The 2-1 win over Bradford in 1998 (?) when Paul Barnes and Grant Johnson scored. I was working in Bradford at the time with a few of their fans. It's fair to say I enjoyed going into the office the following Monday.
3. The Lincoln play off 2nd leg in 2004. Best atmosphere ever at the new ground, bar none.
My first game was the Newport promotion match in 1983 but I was only 7 and can't really remember it.

Yeah, it was a great game, think the build up to the game made it more compelling, we were utter shit and obviously there was the 10-1 caning we took a couple of months earlier, everyone thought Manchester City would turn up a book a slot in round 4 with ease. That didn't stop 20k plus turning up though, although Manchester City must have brought 8k that day, I was in the east terrace that day and all that bloody injury time and that equaliser, although the two following games didn't live unto the first game and the 2nd replay was a damp squib with Man City winning easily.

That 4-4 comeback away at bury must be the most adrenaline filled atmosphere games for me.. "Who put the ball in the bastards net" away win at Leeds in the league cup comes second . From drinking round town, to cramming on the trains, to getting in for nowt after they opened the gates, to the final celebrations at the end with a near 8,000 other town fans, pure class... Third choice is the Sheffield utd penalty shootout at Wembley, it meant so much for us to get back in the championship, just hope to god we don't fuck that chance up and slip back down to division 1.

1) Scunthorpe 3-2 at home, two last min winners by McAliskey - we were terrible most of the night, you can't beat a late comeback.
2) Palace 7-1. Best complete team performance I've ever seen, plus I was mascot - what a day.
3) Wembley 2012 - Hollywood style drama - didn't come down off that high for weeks.

Blackburn away in cup when they were massive and our deflected goal from their keepers clearance. Bury away, Nico Vaesen debut. Crazy time. Bolton away, the 'floodlight climb'. Crazier time.

3-2 away win at Man City sometime in early 80s. Sat with my City supporting workmates We were 2-0 up after about 30 mins then conceded 2 in 1st half stoppage time. Expecting the worst then but Town bounced back and we were treated to a winner in the second half (Stanton?)

Agree on 2nd replay, but the first one was pretty remarkable - just a couple of months on but we get a 0-0 after extra time having shipped 10, and with Peter France at centre half. Shit game but pretty satisfying.

The more recent snowy trip to Man City.
Right pain to get there, but rewarded by perhaps the best TEAM goal I've ever seen a Town team score.

Not going to count playoff finals as they're too obvious, therefore.......
Town 4-0 Palace - Purely because Marcus Stewart scored a hattrick on my birthday Town 2-2 Lincoln - Everyone thought we'd f***ed it up, but the noise when Edwards scored was incredible Town 3-2 Brentford - Not the 'Alan Lee fouled the keeper' game, the one where I think both teams had a man sent off and we went and won it wth goals in the 93rd and 96th minutes. I don't think I had a voice left by full time.

Lincoln C away (early 80's?) - won 2-1 after they'd been undefeated there all season. Usual crappy trip along A roads... Barnsley home (maybe 80-81 season)? Won 1-0, huge crowd, Stanton with a trademark winner... Newport County, 1-0, sublime left foot from Cowling... newport county filling the away end, how times have changed... the Barnsley game, memorable for the goal, the crowd size and the timeless and very loud chant of 'Barnsley are shit'.... they dont write em like that anymore.. Hartlepool at home.. chanting 'bring on the champions'.. last time we ever had the chance..

53 YEARS CONTINUOUS SUPPORT EXPERIENCE.
Best game ever seen - Town v West Ham 1972 F A Cup W 4-2 Never seen a game like that before or since.
Worst experience ever - Man City v Town 1987 league L 1-10 Under Malcolm Mc Donlald
Loudest town vocal support ever Man Utd v Town 1970 league D 1-1
The First and maybe only time that the Stretford end had been outsung by an estimated 15,000 + town support " of all ages " ,and seemed to be coming from three sides of the ground. There was more talk of that deafening noise than there was of the match , and still rings in my ears today .

The first 3 games that came to my mind are.....
4-0 against Sunderland at home in league cup 91. 4-4 away at Bury 91, we were 4-0 down. Playoff win at Brentford 95, great night that was.
Then I also thought of this game as an extra.........
Forest at home in league cup 3-3 in 2nd leg, losing on away goals. Forest went on to win the cup that season. Think it might have been 1989.

Was it the 89-90 season cos we lost to the eventual winners of the league cup and the FA cup finalists too in the same season Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards

1. 4-1 opening day win over Blackpool in promotion season (first away game on my own) 2. 3-2 Lincoln City when Dunn got golden goal 3. A strange one 5-3 against Hull in Yorkshire cup. A really enjoyable game off footy and I believe the reverends last appearance ( Starbuck was my favourite player at the time)

I remember the Lincoln City away match very well and got totally blathered, will not mention anything else! Town v Bradford when we beat them 6-3 over Christmas back in the 80s Town beating Scunthorpe united 3-2 when Buxton had just taken over after being 0-2 down at half time.
