Which game will it be then? Any game which the away side asks for more than 4K? As I've said before moving for the odd game won't bother me, I would think the opposition would have to be asking for at least 6,000 before it would be considered. Moving half the Kilner for say 500 to a thousand seats would be counter productive. The chances are it would be a televised fixture and I can imagine half those shifted out would say stuff it i'll give this one a miss.

There is hardly any fans who sit in the south end of the Kilner as well. The block that housed the singing section is about 10% full.

I can see both sides of this but do feel we need to be sensitive to those who would find moving really difficult.

You don't actually own the seat the club do and you can be asked to move at any time, you can also be refused entry to the ground season ticket or not it is at the clubs discretion. So all this about not moving wether it be a high stakes game or a game with nothing to loose is bull shit, if the club say you have to move you will move or be refused entry to the ground , end of

The other 2 or 3 are always pretty full.

Take my circumstances, I used to sit in what was the upper golf, a few years ago I moved to the Kilner 3/4 of the way back and 5 seats off centre to the South stand end. The main reason I moved was to be with friends (five of us) and, importantly for me a superb view. Now I appreciate you guys in the South stand wanted to create a cowshed type experience and the actual view is of secondary importance. There was a time when I would be in there bouncing along but those days unfortunately are gone for me. I prefer now to be with my friends. As regards the South end being nearly empty that's the end blocks. When they do move us they will be taking right up to the halfway line, I think you'll find that will involve quite a lot of people. As I said moving for me occasionally I can accept, in the event that the Kilner did become away fans only it'll be back to t'other side for me.

But surely all you lot in the Kilner need to do is shuffle over a block or two towards the north stand? Your still in the same stand just a slightly different angle. I think some fans are being far to protective over it.

Used to sit in the Kilner bank lower centre south good view, but give me a break the place was like a mortuary to many moaning Minnie's even when we are winning. The whole place needs shaking up even if it means having to move seats. When we where at the old ground and the east terrace got going you cold here it in town now you lucky if you here it at the gas club , that's why the south stand is so important to get the sing section in there with more numbers so we eventually force the club in to moveing the away fans out and putting them in say the Kilner bank south end which would mean all those in that section would have to move.

I agree about the 'moaning Minnie's' I suggest we give over the South end of the Kilner to the away fans and move all the 'moaning Minnie's' into the South stand. Should be plenty of room.

The police don't have any basis in law for preventing 7000 Leeds fans coming to a match in Huddersfield. Likewise they have no power to enforce kick off time changes. Blaming police on such matters is weak. Take it up with Dean then. They are his words not mine. Can you explain the hull situation then? Was that town who wanted all the fuck about a few seasons ago? I don't need to, it's gone. And this thread is going to go off on a wild tangent here, as I'd liked to open up a discussion of what I think is ACTUALLY wrong at Town... This is an opinion built up over 6 or 7 years and is a big part of why I "care less" now than I did 10 or 15 years ago. What I have done on several occasions is taken up (at director and at senior department level below that) discussion on various "strategies" to do with managed stadium exit, turnstile entry management, traffic management in and around the stadium after games (which continues to break a local bylaw), and suggestions around routing concessionary queues/moving TVs in the FM Upper, discussion on more inclusive dietery support at the concession stands, and what I have discovered is a simple truth. "Things are the way they are because that's the way they are". There is not a culture of continuous improvement and there is not an environment where challenging behaviour and positive disruption is encouraged, or where end to end ownership of problems and their solutions is clear. I wouldn't want to suggest anyone who is doing their best day to day under severe restriction should suffer, BUT...my opinion is that too many of the influential people have been at the club too long...off the field the club is in a rut of sorts and needs a big shake up to reinvigorate it. The people down there MAY be able to do this, but they'll need massive support as there isn't the appetite, driver or mechanism in place to make it happen I don't believe. Case in point... I sent a brief message to a director of the football club with some information and independant evidence that the club is acting finacially inefficiently in a certain area, asked that director to look at the info and the report that I shared and make and act on their conclusion (as there may be reasons unknown why the club is spending more on a certain service than it NEEDs to do. And in fact I offered up some such reasons why it might not be as straightforward as following the info I provided, it would need someone in the club to understand and make the move...to take ownership). The response wasnt, thanks but no thanks, we've looked at this already and its not as straightforward a service decision as it seems. It wasn't no response but someone took it away and owned it to investigate. It was, "email me so we can discuss it". I don't want to discuss it, I've provided all the info, it's up to you to action it. And why not attempt to start that discussion using the communication channel we'd opened (which is every bit as effective as email). I ignored it, I work in an environment where people ARE given the space to lead, where people given some pointers WILL put in the effort to follow up with research and come to their own educated decision. I've had no follow up asking me where my email is (although that email would be a cut and paste of the info I already provided!). BACK on the point. Police *cannot* affect kick off times etc... They will suggest it, but the club puts up a weak objection and mostly toes the line (for monetary reasons mainly, which is fine).

And back on the real point.
My brother watches from his wheelchair in the elevated disabled section at the South end of the Kilner.
He can stay where he is, surrounded in close proximity on both sides by away fans, and no doubt delayed at final whistle.
Or he can shift to the front row of the Riverside, where he doesn't want to sit because of the poor view.
Instead he'll just not bother.

Any game which the away side asks for more than 4K? When that day arrives & the game means something & we require a positive outcome from the game then that will be my last. "Had a season ticket down there for over 30 years. Not anymore" "Priced out of it?" "No, STs are fairly reasonable" "Fed up of watching poor quality football" "Nah, when I stopped going it was some of the best I'd seen" "Not taken up golf, have you?" "Nope" "Why you stop going, then?" "The club asked me to move seats for a game"

Great price for the Leeds game.
Give them half the Kilner and charge em the same price, They would bring 7k over, Get the ground filled.
The club could give out free Adult sized nappies to those that are crying about moving from "THEIR SEAT" for one game.

It's a seat - not your wife (even though some would probably be happy to give theirs up).
All the trouble in the world and people are miffed about moving seats for 1, poss 2/3 games where there's a chance for the club to earn some brass. Obviously there may be a couple of cases where you could sympathise with folk, but I think most are just using it as an excuse to jump on the griping bandwagon.

Care to count the number that are griping on this board v the ones that are in your corner? Please don't count me as I have already said, I have no problem moving. The 'most' that are just using it as an excuse to jump on the 'griping bandwagon' appear to be in your corner.

As I sit in the Revell ward lower towards the away end I welcome the fans from the South stand coming over to the 'jungle' section for Leeds game etc. Should be decent atmosphere...
If going well on the pitch that is!
And if I had to move so be it its only a seat FFS

A half a dozen games where we can encourage up to 7k away fans ( and we would if it was £20 ) may well help us keep a couple of our better players at the end of the season or be in a position to sign the likes of Huws etc
