I've thought of a better system than the play-offs. Get all the teams in the Championship to play all the other teams over two legs giving 46 games. That seems enough to decide who the best teams are. Then promote the top 3 Then you'll get the team who finishes 4th moaning that they don't have a chance of getting promoted. Then if you promote the 4th placed team you get the 5th placed team moaning, repeat ad infinitum. I agree with whoever suggested, possibly in the play-offs thread, that the 3rd placed team should get a bye to the final. 5th plays 6th in a one-off tie then 4th plays the winner of that match. The winner of 4th v 5th/6th qualifies for the final. Of course only having 2 play-off games rather than 4 would mean less TV coverage and less money so it'd be a non-starter. |

Our 3 stars are for something only 4 teams have done, the massive aren't one of them. Funny, I never used to mind them, blue and white stripes etc but thanks to most of their fans that come on here appearing to be complete bellends I've changed my mind Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards I only come on here when I see unecessary abuse of my team! It started recently with your abuse of Forestieri! He has been magnificent for Wednesday this year but the vitriol on here was un unprecedented! Every team, including town has targeted him and kicked him to pieces yet you still slag him!? Any town fan who would not have him in there team knows nothing about the modern game or is an idiot! If you don't want people like me on here don't talk rubbish about my team, if you do expect something back!.....by the way, the language on here when posting is disgraceful! I sincerely hope you don't allow your kids to read it!!!!! Why the investment but not in the horrendous ground? Does it actually meet modern day premier league standards? Why has it never been flattened and rebuilt? Very few teams have the old stadia nowadays and in Wednesday case even more reason to demolish and start again. What a god awful place. Definitely the worst I've been to(& I've been to some shitters in league 1&2. Even tinpot town managed to fund a new ground. It just doesnt make sense. Can you enlighten me? |

Bizarrely I agree with the approach you favour, but I find your response odd. There isn't really any scope for complaining about equality of the old system, it's generally the fairest. The only scope it wasn't, is if because half the league won't have owt to play for for a quarter of the season and off the back of this one of the teams may get more fixtures with the opposition not fully motivated or blooding youngsters. Obviously this issue also means the end of the season can be a total drag for many teams. I understand the other view, but on balance, play-offs all the way for me. |

Im desperate for Town to do well but couldnt see myself ignoring or arguing for a blatant cheat playing for my club. Virtually everything he does has an element of cheating or attempting to cheat attached to it, every piece of play, no matter how good, involves him looking for the foul or trying to initiate a foul or attempting to influence the ref re the challenge made on him. times that by the other 21 players and you would not have a football game you would have a guessing game for officials and two sets of supporters up in arms. He is an incident waiting to happen in every game, forget he can play a bit, he has.. |

Just occasionally, an away fan pops up on here that's worth bothering with (like the Southend fan the other day). This Wednesday fan just comes across as most people that pollute other clubs' boards, i.e. a complete & utter bell end. Even if he had any credibility to start with, he loses it by defending Forestieri. No one doubts his ability, but equally, no sane person could hold any other view than he's one of the worst cheating bastards in the English game. When Forestieri played for Watford against Wednesday, Buzz would have thought just the same about him then as the rest of us do now. However, cheating on the scale he does now he plays for Wednesday suddenly seems to be acceptable. |
