I think this should be taken with a pinch of salt. As I appreciate that 1). I live stateside and don't get over often to watch games. 2) Because, I'm ultimately not a paying supporter from a ticket stand point. 3). because of options 1 & 2. My opinion doesn't really matter. But, I would be willing to buy a ST or 2, and just donate them if need be for the season, at the request of if I do come over for games, I could go to the games in the ST I got. HOWEVER, from a business and financial standpoint the club needs to increase the pricing point we've been well below average when it comes to ST prices over many years, and I think personally it affects us somewhat when it comes to financial sustainability and for us to truly mount a challenge when it comes to the investment we can do in the transfer market/wages etc. We rely heavily on owner/chairman cash injection and thats not always viable, we genuinely should be looking at more than just tickets to develop better revenue (I think I recall we spoke about this on the forum and have discussed before, I forget which topic or thread is was on). But I agree with a previous post about tiered prices/based on location. (It's something done at sports games in the US. it's done at concerts etc. Section 100s etc is usually pricier than 200s, 300s and usually more expensive when your front line and center vs corner locations. Using the mantra that we see in Europe "Twenty is plenty" using that as a basic indicator. Apologies in advance for the $ sign, I use an American laptop and doesn't have our pound sign. 23 games x $20 = $460 (which would probably put us in the mid tier of pricing). Is that too pricey, probably. It's a good indicator though. 23 games x $17.50 (or so) = $400 (rounded down) 23 games x $15 = $345 (round it up to 350). Lets hypothetically say we sold (I've factored in a less ST sales on higher margins and increased to lower): 9,000 STs at $460 = $4,414,000 gross revenue 10,000 ST at $400 = $4,000,000 gross revenue 12,000 ST at $350 = $4,200,000 gross revenue It all equals to roughly the same, do we value the better atmosphere, or the revenue up front so to speak. Maybe we use those prices/and or other when it comes to tiered pricing. (as we would have to factor in, under ages, and seniors etc), but if pricing averaged $350 from top tier, to youth etc I think thats a decent marker for us. I think a good indicator here would be identifying what is the average "spend" per game from supporters on food & beverage and misc at the ground. That could help give us a better idea of what's needed. I do believe for us to be a better financially run club and for us to work away from this were a small club approach, we've got to give ourselves a bit more leverage when it comes to competing financially too. Have you tried holding down the button with the dollar sign? Usually brings up alternate currency symbols. -American That doesn't work. $ is shift 4, hold it down and you get a massive stream of $$$$. If you want pound ( for all the other USA people), you need to click insert/symbol then the pound sign £. In this application press and hold together the windows key and the period ( thats the full stop) |

So restrict the away fan numbers and don’t fill the rest of the ground and keep ST ticket prices the lowest in the division (I’m guessing that bit) Think we’ve found our new commercial director 🤦♂️ I don’t know if all clubs are like Town but it blows my mind what most seem to EXPECT from the club. Cheap tickets. sit where they want, to be a top 30 club, a manager on a monster wage, best facilities and ticketing systems. All to be paid for by someone who had never heard of Huddersfield 2 years ago. and Bovril, and top pies, and decent ale |

I see this complaint a lot (usually in my country) and find it funny (not just the terrible spelling). This is a privately owned website open to the public not a public space. Freedom of speech isn't applicable. They will have policies for why they ban/suspend accounts but there is no legal right for you to spout drivel here. Realistically, the admins can have you banned or suspended for just being annoying. Yeah, they made the same claims when they organised the witchhunt that saw the legend known as Nickthehuddster frog marched off. Sad days. "freedom of speach"  you couldn't make it up! 😉 Someone on his salary isn’t going to live in the shithouse called Blackburn, more likely in the well healed places such as Sheepsarse or Bury. From there it’s 40 minutes at most at normal speeds. Take it to the limit plus x% before you’re clocked and you’ll shave off at least 5 minutes. Ooohhhh I used to know a lass in Holmfirth back in the day whose nickname was 5 minutes! cos that's how long it took you to cop off after buying her a drink. I never got to shave owt off mind! Thanks for listening to the fans….you’re messenger work to Kevin may have helped….. Whereas of course I listen to everything and communicate what I can, I cannot stress enough: - above my pay grade - I have nothing to do with personnel - I assure you KN and team were aware of everything I’m about as die-hard a sports fan as you could ever find. I’ve done some crazy things over the years for my teams, I totally get that fan is short for fanatic, as I am one of them. And in my short time interacting with everyone, I can tell and appreciate that it’s more than just sport, it’s community and generational pride. I GET it. I will say this: It’s never easy to watch someone lose their job, especially a great person. But business is business and all, fair play. Over the last few days I’ve been yelled at for tweeting “if we outscore the opponent, we have a good chance at winning”, which is par for my sarcastic sense. The higher the pressure, the more sarcastic I get, likely a coping mechanism. Due to me also tweeting about the Kings and 49ers (which is actually part of my other job), I’ve been accused of not taking Town matters seriously. I have a person I will not name in my DMs on this board repeatedly telling me to “fire the guy”, and at one point he literally threatened suicide if I didn’t. I blocked my first (and hopefully only) Town supporter on Twitter due to repeated abuse, and I thought very deeply about doing so as I didn’t want to send the wrong message. And I got called Smithers (I actually enjoyed that and would change my screen name if I could). I say all of this not to complain one bit, but to drive the point home that passion is passion, even when misplaced in my inbox. I would never ever put words into KN or Jake or anyone’s mouth, but for what it’s worth I can tell you that they (and of course I) are OBSESSED with this team and supporters. Want nothing but good things and success. There is no doubt mistakes will be made, but we seem to be all rowing in the same boat, just unsure of the compass readings with each other at times. But communication is key, and good or bad I can tell you KN will be open and transparent, has put his money and actions behind his words, and this is just the beginning. I won’t ask you to trust me, I’ve learned in a short time how much you’ve all been through, but I DO look forward to sharing all the good times with each and every one of you. Onward and upward. It truly is a ballache living in America and only discovering moments before the game if my yearly Ifollow subscription will even work for the game. The scrambling through dodgy hesgoal pages riddled with ads, viruses and pornography while I’m missing game time, that often frustratingly buffers continuously, is ‘less than ideal’ Hopefully Kevin Nagle will discover this issue (perhaps even for the first time today) for himself as I’m sure he probably watches along on Ifollow too. it was live on ESPN+ |
