Made the point on Sky Sports News that on this weekend in 2011 they drew at Spurs. Quite a fall from grace, one which will resonate with Town fans from the 1970s, me included.

Don't forget they lost big in their last game. That only means one thing... Blackpool to be promoted to Premier League next season, if you don't believe me, just look at what happened to Watford

I don't think Blackpool fans will care. They want their Chairman out and dropping down again might bring that wish closer to fruition, as there will be nothing left for him to milk out of the club in the basement league.

Would be interesting to compare where Fleetwood were in 2011. After years below Blackpool they will be a league above Blackpool next year.

Why is Oyston still there? Seems like its only to piss their fans off!

they'll end up ground sharing with Fleetwood and Oyston can sell off the Bloomfield rd site for 'redevelopment' ..

Gone! Sorry mate but this is bang out of order - I posted elsewhere what has happened to Blackpool isn't to be enjoyed...it could have been so easily us....I don't see the pleasure in seeing any club be decimated in such an apparently callous manner....I'd have sympathy for the fans of any club who had suffered what has happened at Bloomfield Rd...even Beeston and the Chickens....

What's bang out of order is when town fans supported the Blackpool fans in their protests pre and during the match for the Blackpool fans to hurl coins and abuse at Mavis and Ethal on the front row and then get the game abandoned when another 45 minutes was still to play at the cost of £26 a ticket for 2200 town fans plus all the other expense such as hotels, travel and food. Some poor town fans cycled that day for charity.... Fuck em, they had my support right up until they came over to our fans giving it the big I am despite the fact that we had supported their protest. Cheeri-fucking-o mother fuckers.

Sorry Ben there is no context just because a handful of scrotes, and it was a handful, behave like tossers and are derided by the majority of protesting Blackpool fans doesn't provide a reason to take pleasure in the apparent destruction of a football club. If Ken Davy had stayed in charge what might have happened? I'm a football fan, I live on the Fylde...I've had loads if fun when we've beaten Pool, and vice versa. Some Pool fans may not be worthy of sympathy but the vast majority don't deserve what they are getting now...a chairman apparently hell bent on destroying the club...I go back to what I say, where that Town how would you feel? And having people also take pleasure in your darkest footballing hour? I identity with all real fans and feel for them in this situation, I don't believe you kick people when they are down If you really feel so strongly though put your champagne on ice, in 12 months they may have dropped out of the league completely.. I'm just surprised that we have people taking pleasure in this, by all means don't care but I don't get the joy...sorry

They made the decision that their club was bigger than the game and deliberately sabotaged the fixture list. The game has been played through war, snow, the tragedies of the 80's and before, days after players dying on the pitch...yet they thought their cause was bigger than that. And as for saying what would have happened 'if Ken Davy stayed in charge'! Get a grip!! He didn't throw millions in but he took us from the bottom tier to promotion and then to the playoffs. Crikey. The hyperbole that gets written on here is ridiculous at times.

Unfortunately, money in the game is such now that there will always be room for speculators. The Glazers must have creamed almost £1Bn from Man Utd. If it can happen to one of the biggest clubs in the game then every club is in danger.
