I must admit to liking the way K O'R refers to "US" when talking about Town.He may not be the most incisive unbiased analyst (having blue and white blood does that to a lot of us!) but even some of the critics on here have to admit that his heart is in the right place. And I assume, as he appears to have a job to do as well as chattering about football like Owen, Linekar, Shearer et al, he doesn't have a lot of preparation time (as they do) and just gives us his (informed) take on the game. I will certainly miss his contribution, I hope R.Leeds manage to find a replacement who is as good. Good luck to him in whatever he does next. UTT To be fair a few of the others have done that as well including Steve Jenkins, Nathan Clarke & Peter Clarke. Its always good to hear ex players still having an affinity with Town.

A proper Town man. I remember him scoring some screamers for us, including a cracker on the day of Hillsborough if I remember. 28 years since he joined us as a player, he missed a few years at WBA I think then back to Halifax then a summariser with Town. Pretty much a whole professional life dedicated to football in West Yorks. I've never understood how any Town fan couldn't like him. That was Julian Winter who scored the cracker that day, Andy May scored one but I can't remember who scored the other. Strange how the mind plays tricks with time. I just looked it up and we played them again that year in December in the cup and beat them 1-0 at home. Was that the match KoR got a great winner?

Yes, I did think that maybe you were referring to that game, his winner was a long range effort into the bottom corner that day.

He wasn't quite so good in this match which also saw Duncan Shearer back plundering goals at Leeds Road

Always liked him on the radio. Still can't forgive him for missing 2 pens at Preston in 1991 though. We lost one nil. You should, as it was Starbuck who missed the 2nd Kieran then went back on penalty duty and missed his next in a game soon after (the Swindon miss above). When Nahki missed his two vs Fulham last season, Kieran explained he thought Nahki was brave to step up for the second penalty as in similar circumstances in that Preston game, he hadn't felt up to it.

I was in the Cowshed that night, that's when the League Cup meant something. Swindon brought a decent following that night for such a long slog.

I'd rather have an honest, professional summariser that says it like it is than the ones Leeds have, GEEEEEEETT INNNNNNNNNNN

It was a while ago! That plastic pitch was terrible.

Won't be missed by me, far too negative at times. couldn't disagree more ...passionate and commentates with a mix of former player and fan and more often than not he's spot on imo. won't be easy to replace for me. Couldn't agree more, very insightful and very honest...the next man needs to be the same in content. Keith Southern doing a good over in Lancs..worth a shot

I'd like Steve Kindon to be CO commentator with Oggy They'd need to waterproof the microphone though.

Matt Glennon, retires from playing end of season. MG is already earmarked to commentate on some fixtures next season, not sure on how many but sounds like it could be a permanent gig although or if not a regular thing

I'd like Steve Kindon to be CO commentator with Oggy They'd need to waterproof the microphone though. There would have to be a 10 second delay in the broadcast so they could bleep out all the swearing.

Had the pleasure of talking to Kieran at the awards do last night, great guy. I for one will miss him on radio l***s, as he said last night he always gave his opinion to what he saw on the pitch (which is why he was there I guess . Good luck with the golf Kieran, & enjoy the time with your Mrs. Utt.

Plenty of time when enduring Oggy's sycophantic waffle. You are better listening to the crowd noise to keep up with the game than relying on Oggy to eventually get round to telling you that the opposition had scored. Always got the impression that KO told it as he saw it and not to please those back at RL or HTAFC Thanks for your efforts

The problem is that the fees for this role would be quite literally peanuts .. would folk such as jacko be willing to commit to giving up 46 days for next to nothing ? PEDANT ALERT !! Sorry Ted, but don't think RL do pay "quite literally peanuts" .....unless they are, quite literally, employing monkeys!! (......think you meant 'metaphorically peanuts'.......)
