Just had a letter off the club saying no persistent standing in the upper tier and extra stewards to enforce this.
All signed by mr Robinson
Keep safe boys and girls
I hope they don't class needing a pee about eight times a game as persistent or I could get a ban

Expecting my letter too.
And a fair amount of backlash towards the club.
We're (The NSL) working on it.

I noticed on Saturday that it was full of stewards up there, they must have felt stupid when everyone went in the South Stand

Should have gone in the Kilner in the first place, always a recipe for disaster up in the posh seats. I reckon North Stand Loyal might be returning to the North Stand this year. Only area of the ground that has empty blocks of seats available.

You might have to go down to the club and sign a good behaviour contract.

We are the home fans mate, we did our time there and proved we deserve a home end, and that home end is the South Stand. Nobody can argue that the fans response to the NSL campaign from it's inception has been a beacon of light for the club.

Rather go into the lower tier of north stand if it means I'm able to stand up.

Agree completely but the only way to get in would be to restrict away tickets leading to a significant loss of revenue. We struggle to keep up financially in this league as it is.

Been there, done that, sold the tee shirts - 280 of them - packed them all up one sunday, to raise funds to get us through that first season in the worst stand in the ground. The place where you want to be stood, is the South Stand.

There's 700 season ticket holders potentially being shat on today Luke. Bollox to the away supporters - and their money. Your pound and mine is worth more to this club than some bloke from Leeds or Sheffield.

Could see this happening unfortunately but if all of you stand up what are they going to do? John Robinson and his cronies strike again.

Is there an argument that the impact of the South Stand crowd will encourage people to come down long-term? I honestly think there is. Focus on improving OUR match day experience and more fans might feel inclined to come down, then maybe we don't need to worry about the 1500 away fans that we cut out. We put a video out on social media the other day, it's received hundreds of thousands of views and been shared thousands of times across Facebook/Twitter accounts. Might seem insignificant, and of course that doesn't generate the Club money, but little things like this that can be achieved in the South Stand do work towards improving the reputation of the Club.

Just visiting the back story on this, when SC's went on sale..didn't the club 'suggest' the upper tier for NSL fans, or did I dream that ?

Yeah, knock it off. Standing up, singing, banging drums, enjoying youselves.
Should be ashamed.
This kind of thing is the thin end of the wedge you MUPPETS!

Just had my letter too.
It's simply the health and safety people covering their arses.
Safe standing needs to happen. The NSL and other supporters groups need to keep up the fight. It works in Germany, it can work here.

Exactly, so take a stand literally and do what you want and what you all got together to do. Can`t believe that this issue wasn`t tackled by the club when the upper tier was suggested as the alternative home of the nsl. Health & safety simply will not tolerate persistent standing in the upper tier of a stand.

Club were happy for us to be up there when they were flogging us Season Tickets, now they've got the cash it seems the goalposts have been moved (possibly due to the safety team) As Mr. Smooth says, we're working on it as we speak.
