The celebration between him and Wagner says it all as to how good it was.

Think we watching Liverpool's future number 1 I'm hoping their German keep comes back from injury and has an incredible season, so we can sign him permanently.

It was a top-class save - not sure even now how he got down to it.
Wagner's reaction at the end said it all - it was clear he thought it won us the game and I wouldn't disagree. I think a Wolves goal at that stage might have seen us go under. As it was Ward makes the save and we see the game out. Good stuff.

I can't work out how he reacted to make a save of that quality. He won two of the three points right there!

We were wobbling at that time. I thought it was coming any minute. Think Wolves running out of steam helped get us over the line. Our fitness really really helps make a huge difference.

It's very noticeable this season that we are finishing games well - even those where we have been under the cosh for periods. The home games against Barnsley and Wolves bears this out, as does the away game at Villa.

According to the F*wit EFL expert on Radio Five Live whose name escapes me yet again, we're fitter than the other teams and it will take them a while to catch up with us.

Quality. His save from their LB was top notch as well. Been a while since you last saw the John Smiths collectively stand and applaud a save.

Wolves manager Walter Zenga said in his post match interview:
"The goal was one mistake and there was one unbelievable save from Jon Dadi Bodvarsson's header."
Nice praise from a man who knows a thing or two about world class goal keeping.

Without any shadow of a date the greatest save I have ever seen live. Was sat right in line with it in the Kilner Bank and he just seemed to appear out of nowhere to stop it. Absolutely unbelievable. Just seen it on the Sky highlights and they don't do it justice. Destined to be a top class keeper for years.

Ward will make a big different to us this season, completely flawless performance today. Agree. Keepers like Ward, Smithies and Nico pull saves off that other decent keepers like Steer and Murphy don't. His kicking was a bit ropey today, but I think we can forgive him for that 😆 Edit- suppose it doesn't make sense to say I agree!

Came to the rescue when we needed him.
