its looking increasingly likely that we will be in the play offs this season which got me thinking who would we as fans prefer to play? Personally I don't want to play Sheffield weds because they seem to always do well against us and I can just see Rhodes coming back to haunt us. My preference would be reading don't know why but they would be my choice.
What's yours?

Not a clue. I would feel neither confident nor fearful against anyone. There's not an unbeatable opponent, but nor is there an easy fixture.
If pushed, our friends from the BYS - but how horrible that would be to lose.

Reading - the most consistent of them but funnily the side I would fear the least Leeds - if we lost at any stage the heartache would be too much Sheff Weds - have the edge on us at the moment, avoid at all costs Fulham - avoid over two legs, they could do a number on us at their place
A Reading semi-final (probably be very tight games), and Fulham in the final, would be the ideal path for me.

Semis: Reading Final: Leeds
And if we made it through that then this would be the season in living memory to be a Town fan.

I am not really that worried about Wednesday - I think they won't beat us over 2 legs or a one off final despite them doing the double over us, I think it is really difficut for a side to beat a single opponent 3 or 4 times in a season, similarly that is why I wouldn't want to play L666s, I suspect the overconfidence of the team doing the double and the utter determination of the double beaten side comes into play.
The main problem for us over 2 legs will always be margin of victory, if we win one and lose one then we'll likely be out. I'd take Wednesday or Reading over L666s for any or both ties. If Fulham sneak in over Wednesday then they'll be tough but would expect to spank us again at their place so there's that overconfidence again.
If we play Fulham then Hefele, Hogg and VLP would make us a far better proposition at Craven Cottage, I think VLP would make a huge difference in occupying their widemen who had a field day particularly down our left in October.

Would prefer leeds in the semis. Wouldn't want to come back up the M1 with those dickheads after beating them at Wembley.

It's right though .. polls about who we want in the play offs in first week of April is asking for trouble. And it was Yoda I meant - my scifi nerdiness work needs! Not really for a team in the playoffs as long as we have! The feeling of disappointment would vastly outweigh any hint of embarrassment caused by speculating on POSSIBLE playoff opponents on a forum thread the previous month. The feeling would no doubt be akin to the Peterboro x 2, Millwall and Brentford playoff losses in addition to the Cheltenham loss and the Birmingham final day disaster.

i think...Leeds will end up playing Reading in the semi's, and lose..as for the other semi, well I'm not tempting fate but hopefully it's us and could be against Fulham, Preston, Wednesday or even Derby.. Who's best to play out of that lot ? Well I guess when we've played Fulham and Preston at home and Derby away in the league we'll have a better idea.

Derby might have something to say yet, although they haven`t been too clever in recent months they`ve still got a decent chance, especially now with a new manager, then again it might come to nothing but dont write them off yet!

I think its clear to me at least, that the pressure of the run in is getting to a lot of teams. Strange results abound they do. Once the reckoning has been completed and we know that we are in the playoffs then I hope some pressure will be released and we can start to play with more freedom. I like a third spot with Leeds in a slump grimly hanging on to 6th. But then I voted Reading - shows what little I really know.

Leeds. All the rest have shown they can beat us on their day. Leeds, on the other hand, are just shit.

Last nights results mean we're at the same distance with fewer points available = likelihood has increased

Reading or Leeds. Given their recent form probably Leeds, then meet Reading in the final.
