Daily mirror are reporting we have made an enquiry for West Ham's 21 yr old striker Ashley fletcher and that we actually tried to sign him in the previous 2 windows.

Raid Celtic . Dembele Tierney Roberts before he goes back to Man City Definitely some quality at Celtic. Problem is they are gearing up for Champions League under Brendan Rogers next season and I would guess most won't leave this summer. Having said that, Dembele will be out of Towns price range at £30m+. Tierney is Celtic personified and won't be leaving this summer(on the slim chance he does, already linked to big clubs). Roberts is a chance on loan or to buy for 10-14m, plenty of goals and assists in him. I think Griffiths might be a chance of leaving and would be a great addition, very clinical striker. Sinclair has found his feet again at Celtic, another who would be a great signing. Rogic is a better finisher than any of the number 10's Town currently has and has beautiful link play. Someone mentioned Mat Ryan from Valencia, good keeper but maybe a little more expensive than you think, however would definitely be worth the enquiry. If Town can keep Ward, I think he will develop further and be a cheaper option. On the Aussie front, Trent Sainsbury from Inter Milan would be a good addition at the back as a good ball playing fullback. I think he would be at a reasonable price. Henry Onyekuru would be a massive addition from Eupen in Belgium. Has plenty enquiring about him after 24 goals and 12 assists in the Belgian league. Problem will be a work permit and competition for his signature. Henry Onyekuru just signed for Arsenal for £6.8m, thought it might have been obtainable. I wonder if a loan is available or will he be in the squad?

Put this in the buy thread, maybe better here. If you're looking for a CB, the best Aussie I could recommend would be Trent Sainsbury. He was playing in China for 30M a year or some rediculous amount, then China changed their international rules and he has been on loan at Inter Milan. He is a quality CB and good with the ball at his feet, he would also be cheap atm. Robbie Kruse is a free agent, used to play for Leverkusen. He was starting every game and then got injured, after that he played second in line to Son at the time. He hasn't played much recently, but will be playing in our qualifiers and at the confed cup. He can play any of the attacking midfield spots and could be a consideration. Maty Ryan (GK) is contracted to Valencia for the next 5 years, he was on loan at Genk and got them into Europe. He is our national No1 and will probably be up on loan again next season. Other than that I don't think anyone else will be at the level and Rogic says he will only leave Celtic for a top 5 club, so you'll have to wait a year for that

Apparently Liverpool looking to loan out Danny Ings.
He would be perfect.

I think Wagner will be aware o why may be needed. He needs (for the sake of team spirit etc) to continue with some of the team from this year but use the model which Silva did at Hull - bring in guys with pace and/or physicality. Most of our 'bench' will need to be sold or loaned out. Half the first team may make the grade but the rest will be squad players.

Just realised we will have a reporter live at the stadium on the 31st of August.. Dreams.
I hope deano and wagner make skysports day and invite them in for a coffee and a chat, a large chunk of german sausage, before proudly announcing all our business was done before the squad spent a week in Alaska in late june.

If we’re drawing up a list we need to look at the squad and work out the weaknesses. I've based the possible targets on info online, some of it may be out of sate. Plus I'm still on cloud 9 so I've treid to be realistic where possible:
Keepers
Ward – Good enough for the Prem? Maybe Coleman – One for the future – wouldn’t want an untried keeper in our first EPL season Coddington – loan him out to the Championship
Verdict – If we can get Ward ok, but if not would like an experienced top flight keeper. Wayne Hennessey’s contract is up…
Right-back –
Smith – Superb this year, deserves a chance Crainie – good cover but not sure he’d hack it in EPL – maybe keep as a squad player
Verdict – cover needed – buggered if I know who though
Left-back –
Löwe – definitely good enough THD – good enough as cover
Verdict – no problems here
Centre-half –
Schnidler – Class. May struggle to keep him Hefele – Quality but may be found out - deserves a chance Hudson – thanks for everything but time to go – let’s have him coaching Stanković – Absolutely has the potential, injury may take a while to recover from
Verdict – If we can get an experienced head to play alongside Schindler, and JGS recovers well, just one signing needed. If JGS struggles, may need 2 – one to start, one as cover. John Terry would be an amazing signing, as long as we locked up the wives, but I’m aware that;s massively unrealistic. Martin Kelly (remember him) is out of contract.
Centre Mid –
Hogg – Deserves his chance. Has been immense this year. Without him Mooy would never have been able to do what Mooy does. Mooy – Can we get him? Does he want to come? If so, deserves his place. Billing – Definitely deserves his chance and if anything the EPL will suit him more than the Championship. Whitehead – With limited squad space, does he warrant a placed? Probably not. Does a good job but doesn’t have the legs/engine for the top flight.
Verdict – at least one signing needed, plus Mooy or A N Other. Flamini is out of contract, but maybe not affordable. Jan Kirchoff was one of the few Sunderland players to look any good, is out of contract and coming back from injury. Also out of contract – Charlie Adam, Darren Fletcher, Seb Larsson, Joe Ledley, Grant Leadbitter
Wingers –
RVLP – hit and miss. Marmite player for Town fans. IMHO not good enough for the EPL. Kachunga – Will do well I think. Great player, great attitude - less skill than RVLP but more productive and more valuable. Scannell – Squad player at best. Probably not worthy of a squad space. Lolley – development has massively stalled. Bags of potential. Bunn – Has become a bit non-descript, which is a shame.
Verdict – Keep RVLP as cover, start with Chunga, Let Scannz, Bunn and Lolley go.
Number 10 –
Kasey Palmer – will play for England one day. More ability than any other creative player at the club, I reckon. Izzy Brown – phenomenal impact and again may well get international honours. Could play wide (I believe that’s where we intended to use him before KP got injured – KP, Izzy and Chunga behind a front man will scare many EPL defences) Jack Payne – has done a god job when needed but is he really EPL? Needs more development and more football I think.
Verdict – sign KP and Izzy (at least one of them) but maybe loan out Payne.
Striker –
Nahki – Massively underrated. The changes he has made to his game are great. But is he top flight? Not sure. Doesn’t score enough. Most agree if we’d had a 20+ goal striker this year, we’d have fought for automatic much more strongly. We do make chances, but as a lone striker he’s not effective enough at scoring, which is his main job. Quanar – Errm… he’s the new Alan Lee, nuff said. But coming in during the January window from overseas is tough.
Verdict – must strengthen. I’d sign one permanent, one loanee. Tammy Abrahams would be very high on my list. Why not have a punt on Peter Crouch too?

The Times saying we are tabling a £8m bid for Mooy and trying to get loan deals for both Ward and Brown. Maybe trying to buy Palmer? Also, players shared a bonus of £4m depending on number of appearances during the season. Some players will receive four months pay in a day.

If we could take the 11 yesterday into the premier league that would be good enough. Maybe the addition of a striker, winger and CB. The truth is we are already weaker than this year with the 4 loanees returning to their clubs, so we have a massive summer ahead of us.

Yes please, more realistic than Uth. although i would take both. His goals are not escaped the English ... Nils Petersen (28) Freiburg Super Joker, this season had already met six times as a substitute - and thus did not only in the Bundesliga sensation. How IMAGE learned the English second division Huddersfield Town will fetch the strikers (contract until 2019) in the summer! Petersen feels in Freiburg , although probably would secretly like but already more often in the Startelf- and could on the island might again get right Checkout. Especially Huddersfield knocks on the door to the financially strong Premier League. the club of Jürgen Klopp's Witnesses David Wagner is trained. Who brought with Lion (Kaiserslautern), Schindler (1860), Hefele (Dresden) or Kachunga (Ingolstadt) already in 2016 some footballers from Germany.

Regarding those that we think aren't good enough, it does rely on clubs coming in and making bids for them (except for those like Hudson/Whitehead who may go into coaching instead).
Didn't Whitehead nearly sign for Rotherham in January but decided to stay and fight for his place here? Bet he's loving that decision now!

I`d imagine the club will be very careful with the salaries they are prepared to pay. Won`t suddenly go mad despite the riches. Expect lots of relegation clauses in contracts.

Relegation wage decrease clauses are pretty much a given in all contracts nowadays. I can't see us signing anyone who isn't prepared to accept such a clause.

I can't wait for the media outrage that we "aren't having a go". Until we turn up to Old Trafford and turn Mourniho over with a bunch of Germans that no one has heard of. I can't fucking wait.
