Given the limit on loans, I wonder if Chelsea would be open to a permanent deal with a clause in it that lets them take him back for a reasonable fee if he turns in to a top Premier League player

Judging by the predicted tribunal fee they are due for Solanke, Chelsea may try and get slightly larger fees for some of their young ones before their contracts run down?

So if we had to chose between Palmer, Brown or Abraham?

So if we had to chose between Palmer, Brown or Abraham? I think Palmer will go on to have the best career and he would be top of the list for me. But I'd happily spend £20 million to sign all 3

There was me thinking a special week was about to get £130 million greater until I logged in and saw £2.70 sitting in my account I'd have happily given £20 million to Town to sign those 3

I think the goals department is going to be so crucial next season. I'd like to see a mature proven goalscorer come in from Germany (Petersen or Uth?), keep Wells and add someone with a bit of premier league nouse. Abraham is a great prospect but it's a big step up and my concern would be it would be a waste of a loan.

And not much money in comparison to what some clubs spend on one player or dross.

How about this lad, he fits your mature proven goalscorer criteria and he's definitely from Germany

If we're not in for Griezman and Sanchez I won't be impressed.

I'd be shocked if Town spend £20 million on players in the next 24 months never mind the next 2. I think we'll be very sensible about it and if that means going straight back down then so be it

Got magic in his shoes has Kasey. Not coming to town would hold him back. Wagner will turn him into gold.

Try to buy them but with a first refusal and resale clause. Just try to make sure can only be activated in first 2 weeks of summer transfer window and would be good compromise.

He's just started liking comments on instagram from fans saying they hope he's back with us next year. That along with him expressing his desire to have been back here regardless of our division makes me confident he's coming back. Would be class if we managed to get him permanently.

It's not an easy choice but if I had to pick between Izzy and Kaeey I think I would go for Kasey.

Why do we have to pick? Why not sign all the loanees that want to stay (if their clubs will release them)

It will all depend on whether he wants to move his family away from London long term.

We have to be careful not to just buy the 16/17 loanees because they were good this season.
There will be cheaper, better options out there.
That said, if I could keep just one of the four loanees......it would be Palmer

I think we'll be very sensible about it and if that means going straight back down then so be it I'd be surprised if we don't spend 20 million (on fees but obviously it's the wages that kill ya ) .. Yorkshire frugality is one thing but it would also make financial sense to stay in the division if possible and if the ball park numbers are 170 m rising to 270 m if we stay up then 20m isn't exactly exhuberant

Theres also a time factor. We've had a longer season than most so we are just that bit further back in pre season preparation. For continuity and 'hitting the ground running' it might be a better move this time to sign a couple of previous loanees than start negotiating from scratch on players we know little of. I suspect Mooy may be moving on anyway, that might be out of our hands. If we could sign Brown & Palmer and get Abrahams in as the loanee that might be best for keeping momentum going.
