Town need a goal scorer and this guy certainly knows how to get the ball to hit the back of the net!

Would be a great signing. Would piss off the knuckle draggers too which is an added bonus. 'Wood leaves champions of Europe for tinpot Uddersfield'.

The money Leeds will want means it won't happen.

Noooooo! He's failed at our level with Leicester do you think he'll be any different now? He doesn't suit our style. We play football. He's more suited to a direct football IMO and that would mean he'd be a very expensive plan B

I like to think I started this 'rumour' a while ago, along with Charlie Taylor and just for added laughs, Bartley..
Im glad someone else has 'joined in'...
now if it can be built upon by someone who isnt just taking the piss and has, unlike me, a modicum of insider knowledge, we might get WACCOE into full meltdown..?

Leeds will be holding out for around 10 mill, not convinced he'd suit our style of play either, its a no from me

Just for info, that site spouts the biggest load of nonsense. Really unbelivable some of the bollocks they post.

Leeds will be holding out for around 10 mill, not convinced he'd suit our style of play either, its a no from me Leeds were not holding out for anything.. Wood may well not pass a medical to go elsewhere, ergo he is still at Elland road and the january window passed by with nothing..

Not gonna happen. Scored 30 goals this season and so, given the price of people like rhodes etc would be at the very least 15 million. Town won't be spending that.

WBA were rumoured to have offered £16m for him. If they are wanting that much brass for him they can keep him for me.

why would we want him? wouldn't fit our style of play at all. So we could loan him out to Preston to further his career prospects?

No chance (if only because if Leeds wanted £10m from 1 team you'd assume that because of who we are they'd want an extra few million from us)

To be fair from what I've seen I wouldn't want him. Would be funny if we did though for there reaction.

Just for info, that site spouts the biggest load of nonsense. Really unbelivable some of the bollocks they post. That report is 100% accurate. Per Skybet, Huddersfield are favourites to sign him at 9/2, however they also have him as 2/5 odds-on to stay at Leeds. My two-penneth: I would love to see him at Town, I think he's class and reminds me of Harry Kane.

Tbh , I thought that this rumour must have been started by Town fans for mischief value. I have my doubts about Wood as a Premier striker......that additional yard of pace, which he doesn't have, will be crucial against the best defenders.
In fact, I have difficulty in thinking that he will deliver next season in the Championship as he has done this season.....the epitome of a "purple match".
Monk will probably snaffle him for Boro.

If he had been 'fit' to leave leeds he would have done so in January.. If he was 'valuable' to them other than him playing the last games of the last season, he wouldnt have started those games.. There was method and a 'deal' for him in their 'madness' of playing him..

He's more suited to a direct football IMO and that would mean he'd be a very expensive plan B I think it would be better to say that he didn't succeed with Leicester rather than failed. He didn't seem to get much of a chance in the Prem. Think it was one of those funny Pearson things. As been said he doesn't suit our style of play and would be a costly plan B. There will be better around for less which do suite our style of play in the continental leagues.

Basically he's got to be a player that Wagner feels will fit his system and available at a price that DH is prepared to consider. Still not sure if Woods will fill these criteria.

Anyone remember Town's own Chris Wood? Goalkeeper, played a few games at the start of 72-73 then just disappeared.

They don't rate Wood.

He scores goals in the Championship. We're past that stage now.
