Lookout Spelling police are back That should be " look out". "Lookout" has a different meaning. If you don't have perfect grammar and spelling there's no point posting. *cough* *cough*

Wells is way down the pecking order now, only wants to stay because Town are now in the prem and was hardly prolific most of his time in the championship.

If indeed Burnley (or anyone else for that matter) are offering circa £8mil for what is essentially a slightly above average standard Championship player then we'd be utterly stupid not to take it.

Hopefully he stays, fights for his place. It's healthy to have competition especially in the prem

Much will depend on whether he is prepared to sign a new contract. If he doesn't, Town will be loathe to let him run down his current contract and go for nothing at the end of the season. Rather than risk that they'll try to move him on. loath = unwilling loathe = Beeston

Think he will be on as second striker towards the end of the game when we need two. Still got a role but doubt he will start many other than cup games.

He's made a massive contribution to keeping us up then getting us promoted. I would like to see what he can do in the premier league, but we're getting a bit heavy on forwards suddenly. A lot will depend on what he wants to do now. I don't think Dean will want him to run down his contract if he can help it.

Rather, lets keep English lessons in one place and stop people using it as a scoring tool. Although I do understand some are just friendly banter and can be quite funny.

Unless another prem team comes in for him I doubt Nakhi will be going anywhere, not that I want him to leave.

Why are people always so quick to get rid of good players just cos we sign a few? I am not sure that anyone is strongly suggesting we should get rid. I'm not. BUT, Nahki needs to demonstrate ongoing commitment to the club by agreeing a new contract. If he does that he can still be a useful part of the squad. Would you commit your future to your employer if they recruited two new members of staff in the same role as you, on much bigger wages ?

Does the arrival of mounie and depoitre spell the end at town for nakhi wells? With kachunga and big colin able to play striker if needed surely he must be pushed down the pecking order. Discuss.... Big Collin has been really poor in the CF spot when I've seen him play (Burton at home, for example. He was gash). Like him when he comes on on the wing though.

I think kachunga provides the same as wells whilst playing on the wing also. Imo he'll be on his way but not to the premiership.

We would, even more so because he's a below average Championship striker! The signing of Ince opens the door to play Kachunga as a striker, so after Mounie and Depoitre, that should IMO leave wells as 4th in the pecking order. So if someones willing to pay a decent amount for him it makes business sense to get what we can IMO. if we can't get a decent amount ( baring in mind the chickens get a cut of anything over £1.3m ) then we might aswell hang onto him and let him see his contract out.

Fair point, but Nahki chose not to enter into discussions about a new contract last year. The tables have turned a bit now! Maybe wait till January, if he's shown he can hack it in the Prem then the money under his nose. Otherwise take a slightly reduced fee from what we could maybe get now and move on.

Nothing wrong with the OP question, I feel that with signings we have made I can see more of a role for Kachunga up top so Wells, as has been said, will be down the pecking order, but we'd be stupid not to have a look at him until January to see how he copes with the demands of the PL.
He could excel and double his value in five months.
