How has he not got his own thread.
My MOM today, what an engine! Had a right go at Lossl second half for not commanding his area! Excellent performance!

He was superb today. To be fair he's been very good what I've seen of him so far.

He's like Hogg (maybe not quite as solid defensively, not that you could really tell today) but with the ability to beat a man! That midfield worked very well.

Played very well today, he's so calm on the ball. I had Depoitre as MOTM then him, Hogg and the 2 centre halves just behind.

I also thought he was great. Has the power and drive to move us further upfield and release pressure. Does the same sort of job as hogg too. I didn't like him knocking lossl though. I thought it was a great cross and caught us off guard. Great ball by lossl for second goal too. Can't knock anyone today though, and there is nothing wrong with being honest to your fellow collegues

A big lad. the way he shifts it from right foot to left foot and then away is amazing ... of course we don’t want players injured and of course we need a squad BUT hopefully Billing being out for a few weeks will enable Williams to get a decent run .. he would be in my team before Billing all day long

Agreed, he was awesome. That small change of putting an extra midfielder who can tackle and also go forward made an incredible amount of difference to our "shape". We just looked so much more defensively comfortable with that extra security, yet strangely looked more capable going forward too.

Great partnership in the centre with Hogg, I often use the term machine to describe Hogg but today it was befitting of both these guys - superb

Has this ability to press players quickly but stays on his feet and rarely fouls or gets beaten- noticed it At Wembley!
Will be a vital player this season!!

We desperately need him to stay fit. Billing will come again though. Too much talent not to. Wagner will school him. Williams looked a town player even when he was playing for Reading. Mom today fractionally ahead of LD.

Excellent yesterday, drove us forward when he could and he and Hoggy broke down the their attacks ruthlessly, they were like a pair of Rottweilers

What I noticed yesterday about Williams was that he was giving VLP a right roasting about positioning at the end of the 1st half when we were defending. Shouting at him and pointing to free Man U players.
VLP duly noted and spent 2-3 minutes tracking his man and putting in the required shift. Helped stop Man U having a player which could be used as an outlet.
It would seem that he is a natural organiser, and able to remind others about their defensive dutys. Something which Mooy doesn't do as he is fairly quiet.

Superb. A true competitor and a very fine footballer. Drove us up the pitch with Van La Parra - he's got the discipline but he's also got the engine to be a complete box-to-box midfielder. At the end when VLP just dawdled on it and failed to release it he'd made a fantastic run after starting the move. Looks an absolute steal.

Thought he was brilliant.. looked everybit as good as mooy. I agree but i think Mooy has a bit of that special talent that lifts him above the others around him(who were great too). I can think of a few town players who would not have scored the opener on Saturday.
