I've done a few overnights down there & always go to Valentino's restaurant, which is a nice little place down by the seafront. Probably not the cheapest spot, but decent. www.valentinobournemouth.co.uk/Edit: for pre-match drinking, your best bet is to walk across the park next to the ground & turn left down the main road. There's a big pub (name escapes me) usually full of Town fans.

It's mates 50th that day so we've treated him and 6 of us are flying down Manc to Southampton 😁😁 Bought tickets ages ago and used some airmiles which meant tickets were £50, result. Can't wait, it sure beats that 4 1/2 train ride to Swansea. Flying to a Town game in Prem who would have thought it. It means we get to Bournemouth at 9.30.....is that too early 🤔🤔🤔🤔🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺✈️✈️✈️✈️ UTT

I'm stupidly going on the coach. Going to be one hell of a long day! At the match with my uncle. He's going on the train but given its over £100 more, the slower option wins for me

What's the chances of getting tickets on the day for a local terrier exile?

Tbh the train with changes takes an age too.

Lost my wallet for a bit after Roberts headed in the equaliser 💪 Still one of the craziest celebrations ever- a really brilliant evening. One of those rare spells when Town refused to be beaten even when things were not going well.

Thats 1 change, multiple changes are longer. 3hr to London, get across London then 2hr30mins to Bournemouth aint much different either.

I once went on the Town coach to Bournemouth, set off at 8 and got there at 2.45, what an ordeal.

Yeh, not multiple changes just some of them the change time from arriving at Picadilly to leaving for Town is nearly an hour and some its a bus for that section of the journey. I think i’ll regret catching a coach and said I wouldn’t do it again after Wembley v Sheff Utd in 2012. If its that bad I’ll be booking Southampton by train on the coach journey back.

If anyone’s vegan or vegetarian I highly recommend ‘The Mad Cucumber’, a cafe in the triangle area of town. Also a great vegan shop, Sunrise Organics, one minute walk from there.
60 Million Postcards is an amazing bar, next to the Odeon complex.

Their thrice cooked chips are cock on. Loads of good beers on too. Quite a tough town at nights, plenty of gangs of Eastern European lads in the clubs. I did an MSc there, plenty of student style bars to get cheap pints. My local haunt used to be an Iranian wine bar. Bottles of Old Peculiar for a couple of quid. The owner had a guitar behind the bar...I used to go in with2 Irish mate’s and we’d take it in turns to sing a tune. There was never anyone else in, the old boy played the drums and would sit drinking for a bit before setting his kit up in the middle of the floor and fetching more guitars from upstairs. He probably went bust as we drove away any other customers. Great days.

That's great news I am a vegan and will look forward to going and sampling the grub. I'm worried both about the amount I drink and whether I should cut down on red meat. We've had some great health advice on DATM recently. Firstly JimmyMac says he doesn't drink during the week. Now the Mayor of that fine city of Coventry says he is a Vegan. If they are examples of the health impact of cutting down on beer and red meat pass me a Landlord and a rib-eye.

Apparently, Town are employing ‘spotters’ to keep an eye on our fans. Anyone asking for directions will be put on a list of folk who didn’t go to the corresponding L1 fixtures. They will then lose their P1 or P2 status. Those who know the way will be promoted in stature.
It’s a kind of Challenge Anneka/Kypton Factor/Running Man thing.
Good luck everybody.
