A disappointing end to a remarkable year.
Three shots in over 90 minutes, at home....crap. Still, the three above us all lost.

A disappointing end to a remarkable year. Three shots in over 90 minutes, at home....crap. Still, the three above us all lost. People forget that the opposition is playing too. Sometimes you don't get to play your game because the other side is too strong. I thought Burnley were very impressive, they out-pressed us for much of the game and we saw that it's not easy to look good when you've got an opponent in your face all the time -- a lesson we've taught a few sides this year. It wasn't stunning, but we've kept a clean sheet and taken a point of a team that, on today's showing and on the table as a whole, is a class above us. Decent fighting result.

Do we have anyone who can deliver a reasonable corner? Löwe

A tough game and a few players were slightly off it today. Still, 4 unbeaten and we keep a handy 6 point buffer between us and 18th.
One last push before a fortnight off to refresh and maybe add a touch of quality to a position or two.

Today was pretty poor but can’t complain on the whole - loved every second of this year!

6 points from 12 in a very busy period after the Everton game.
If it’s 6 from 15 after Leicester then so be it. FA cup gives us a breather to press on in the new year with maybe a couple of signings.
Great year. Lot to be proud of.

Burnley did a job nullifying Mooy and consequently we were poor in possession. Very impressed by Burnley who did to us what we like to do to our opponents. Big Col didn't cause them the problems he has recently, Ince and VLP didn't do much. Lolley's introduction gave us a lift, it looked a penalty to me in real time and was confirmed by the replays.
A clean sheet and a point I will always take against a club above us in the table.
Leicester on Monday will be tough but 4 unbeaten is a good little run that we will try to continue.

Some old school hoofball from Burnley in that game, in amongst some half decent stuff.
Good point in the end.

Scotty Arfield's covering a lot of ground isn't he? Might convince a few on here that he can play! I thought he was fucking rubbish today.

Some old school hoofball from Burnley in that game, in amongst some half decent stuff. Good point in the end. Their game management is brilliant, they played some attractive one touch passing 1st half which really put us on the back foot. 2nd half they were content to hoof as they tired. We struggled to answer any of their questions today.

A disappointing end to a remarkable year. Three shots in over 90 minutes, at home....crap. Still, the three above us all lost. we played the opposition at their game..they play it better than us..lucky to get a point today.. often looked like big lads playing small lads.. wasnt if you put the heights/weights side by side but it did look it.. ref is allowed to be 'fooled' by Barnes, zanka isnt.. felt very much like an away point.. LDP is a frontman and he can hold it up, the ball into him has to be better and some fucker in a town shirt needs to be nearer him when its played.. wasted him today.. Burnley are strong and physical but no bigger or stronger than we should be now.. dont accept excuses for losing a physical battle.. clean sheet, just.. positive.. we get pressed we dont get brave, we get slower and its easier..

Really poor today. Struggled to pass 5 yards yet were attempting flicks every 2 minutes. Worst game I've seen Depiitre have, Ince far too deep, wingers and full backs totally ineffective. Fair play to Lolley who I thought did well when he came on - expect him to start on Monday.
Looked like a penalty to them. Yellow card inconsistency still as infuriating as ever. How Lolley got booked when Arfield got away with that assault first half, or the 2 cynical fouls by their defenders as we were breaking, or Schindler's very late foul, is a mystery to everyone except Mr Tierney.

We have dodged a bullet today. Second half was a better showing - I guess the wind had a lot to do wit that - but that was a penalty all day long.

Weird innit? We played better against Bournemouth and lost 4 - 0. Bournemouth had an extra man - the ref. True indeed. Plus, we had close ball control that was above third division level. today ??

Thought that was a good point, Burnley were the better side and had the better chances. They looked better that I expected.
Few things I'd like Wagner to consider:
1. Leave Quaner, Ince and VLP up for defending corners. They don't win headers, it's forces some of theirs back and it gives us the chance of a counter. Pulling everybody back just gives them a second chance to cross it in.
2. When we get late free kicks put our centre backs up and put it in the box.
3. Have Sabiri or Palmer on the bench instead of Cranie. We don't need 3 defenders on the bench.
4. Consider switching formation during a game e.g. 352 with Depoitre and Mounié up top.

3 misplaced passes under little to no pressure from Zanka and a booking too, needs to be better than that if he wants to keep his place now Hef is back 'fit' Very harsh booking imo. Several similar not given in second half.

We weren't great today but you have to give credit where it's due Burnley was in our faces all afternoon and never let us play. They are so organised and well drilled. It wasn't pretty football by them but what they did worked and they had runners all over the shop. They will defo take points off our relegation rivals for sure this season too. Now onto Leicester #UTT

Burnley handled the windy conditions better than we did, simple as that
Some players seem unable to use their brain and take some power off a pass when there is 20mph wind behind them

Its very easy to say Rip off at the price of almost anything, but i honestly dont think Huddersfield Town have shown any genuine example of this. Oh unless you want to buy Christopher Schindler Its very easy to say its a rip off price beacause it is ! Its been 3.50 all season. How many more celebratory products do we need ? Mega money spent at Christmas, season cards in January. Milking it pal

Disappointing performance today, we know we have to win games against Burnley and Stoke, no disrespect to them two. Today we were poor, no ball retention, no fluidity, no attacking purpose, Depoitre looked shagged out. Fair play to Burnley though they pressed us and probably should have won. We need to be more positive at home.
Another thing I noticed today was the poor decision making in significant areas of the pitch, turning back or making the wrong pass. To be ultra positive today we haven't lost, nor conceded and have gained another point.

Now onto Leicester #UTT Yes, Burnley were on it today. Homework well and truly done on us and jobs carried out in good fashion. They read the game very well. Cut out countless passes, and like has already been said, looked like they had sneaked a 12th man on. Very happy with that hard earned point against what is a very good outfit.

Very refreshing to read credit being given to the opposition.
We're not used to that, so well done.

Great point from a poor performance, can't remember the last time our passing was so bad with most of the team having an off day. No doubt that at some stage we'll play better than that and get nowt, take the point and move on.
