We always struggle against 10 men, it's happened several games this season and was the same last season.
Really should've taken the opportunity but on the plus side it's another point, a key player for them is out for 3 games, and the other results generally went our way.
Southampton look a mess, West Ham got smashed at home and their fans were literally fighting their players on the pitch, Brighton got a straight red. All the teams around us generally have a hard couple of games coming up.
We're in a good position, just need to keep it up and put the pressure on those around us.

Moronic substitution taking off Pritchard for Forest Gump. What the hell goes through Wagner’s head?! It was a surprising substitution, but difficult to slag off if you don't know the reason? I'm amazed anyone would insinuate Wagner is a moron. Totally uncalled for. Quaner did well, and offered more physical presence against a packed defence. Swansea defended well, and got very lucky on the day. That's the way it goes. No complaints from me, other than feeling let down by lady luck. She obviously decided to spend the day elsewhere. I think we should think ourselves lucky that Swansea didn't sneak a fluke goal, given how things went for them.

It wasn't the worst result of the season, we did hit the woodwork twice and a couple of efforts agonisingly close, after the first half I felt things weren't gunna go our way.
Every point is welcome in the run in, still eight games to play, I just hope we don't look back at this game as the one that could of saved us.
It also puts pressure on our games with Palace, Brighton, Newcastle, Everton and Watford. I we can win any of our remaining games but the ones mentioned are the ones with better odds

You could see that result coming from half way in the the first half. It just had that feel about it. How many times do we see a team reduced to ten men dig in and drag out a result. While what we did was good and well organised there just lacked any real creativity. Where was that killer incisive pass that sets an attacker free to go for goal. There needs to be some variety, even a route one hoof up the pitch might bring a reward every so often. Fortunately the other results have gone well for us today and as I write it looks like Palace could be in for a loss too. Yes, three points would have been great but maybe the one point we got today will prove to be rather precious by the end of the season.

Hopefully that isn't a game that fans still talk about in 20 years time of where would be now if we had won that game
Massive opportunity missed to get ourselves on to the brink of safety. Puts way more pressure on to next week's game now

Carvahal is quickly becoming my least favourite manager to play against.

And Palace are losing now... And that's what Town lacked today. A deflected, nothing shot, to beat the keeper.

If they are packed in and that deep you get players in there of some stature and you mix it with them.. bollox to the passing game, there is little or no space to pass other then than the interminable sideways stuff miles from a dangerous area.. everytime we get the ball back turn their defenders get it in behind them before they can get back and organise.. change what we are doing... dont play the 11 men, they have ten and have 'decided' the games tactics unless they concede.. they defended what we managed to produce very well..

We'll be a point further ahead of most of our rivals by Monday night. Put it down to one of those days.
Don't forget - Swansea kept a clean sheet away at Spurs too. They are a good, defensive unit.

I know that but I also know what the last 4 fixtures are and do not see us getting more than 1 point out of those. I was hoping we would have survival secured before the last 4. Me too but surely Everton and Arsenal don’t look quite as daunting as they did before the season started

One of those games where we were never going to score.
On a side note, I was cringing at the way Swansea celebrated at the end.

Carvahal is quickly becoming my least favourite manager to play against. Same. Seeing him celebrate like they’d won the league wound me right up. He’s an absolute throbber.

Another one here questioning the subs. Taking Pritchard off is absolutely laughable
Starting to see where some people are coming from with regards to Mooy slowing us down. Too laboured. I'd honestly bench him for Williams

In all honesty you have to give credit to Swansea for sending so well. They were set up to do that anyway but just didn't have an out ball when Ayew got sent off.
We will learn and be ready for a similar game next week

Tbh I can’t focus beyond today . Three points would have seen us really well placed and it’s such a disappointment

No doubt it will play out in the press as a Carlos tactical masterclass when, in all honesty, they just got extremely fucking lucky on several occasions.

Extremely disappointing. Swansea defended like beasts so fair play to them. Shocking time wasting though. When have you ever seen a yellow card for time wasting given before half time?! He booked the wrong one though, it should've been a 2nd yellow for Mawson for fucking about 😡

It always feels as though we struggle against and with ten men. We can’t seem to break them down and get ripped a new one when it happens to us (except West Brom home).
Couldn’t make the game today due to family event (unfortunately).
Don’t really feel as though I needed to be there really. DW has always surprised me with his subs. I usually think to myself “what has he done that for”? Yet there’s usially a reason and it usually works.
But I just cannot fathom the logic in leaving LD on the bench until so late on. Surely that is what Carvahal would have wanted, so it just seems as though we’ve played into their hands.
It’s difficult to see that as a point gained. hopefully we won’t need to look back and see this as what’s cost us.

Disappointing result, 80% possession and apart from one great save we hardly worked the keeper, the final ball in just not good enough. Credit to Swansea who got men behind the ball and made it difficult but you have to say it's 2 points lost. Good day otherwise with results in our favour, onwards and upwards, UTT.
