I have absolutely no idea why the YEP decided to publish this bile, I didn't expect them to go down the Examiner path of click-bait content, but, I have written a response to Rob LUFC's incredibly salty article. Read it here, and show it to all your Leeds supporting friends then forgot about them and leave them in the past, where they are so happy to dwell. www.terrierblog.co.uk/single-post/Leeds-United-are-the-drunk-spinster-at-a-wedding

I remember not so long ago Leeds were considering buying Farley Celtic for when Leeds were taken to the cleaners by the revenue. Unfortunately the revenue failed to shut them down.

I think Leeds have suffered enough - they have served their time out of the top flight. It will be 15 years next May...enough is enough and they should be invited to return to the Premier League instead of the 17th team.

YEP is basically thrown away, rather than given, as anyone who walks through leeds around 5 pm will testify, and is the Leeds equivelent of what the Examiner has become.
Yorkshire Post is just about clinging on to some semblance of proper journalism.
It's a disgrace, but a pretty sad reflection on what people want these days. To regurgitate their moronic drivel only speeds up the death of proper reporting.

I have a mate who worked on the YP/YEP for a good few years; he's an old-school journalist, knows his subject inside out & writes well about it. He told me a couple of years ago he only buys the paper nowadays because he works for them & can't understand why anybody would pay for it any more.

Article complaining that it is unfair that Leeds only earn an average of £45,700 (less than £1 million in total) for each of their 20 "live" tv matches when PL clubs get so much more. Put in perspective, Leeds get less than £50,000 for each time they are on TV while Burnley, only live on TV seven times last season, got a massive £12.3 million - an average of £1.75 million a game. For one TV game, Burnley earned nearly twice as much as Leeds received for their 20 matches. Long may it continue. <iframe width="24.74000000000001" height="4.180000000000007" style="position: absolute; width: 24.74000000000001px; height: 4.180000000000007px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT1_90991606" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.74000000000001" height="4.180000000000007" style="position: absolute; width: 24.74px; height: 4.18px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1176px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT1_99058830" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.74000000000001" height="4.180000000000007" style="position: absolute; width: 24.74px; height: 4.18px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 148px;" id="MoatPxIOPT1_42849882" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.74000000000001" height="4.180000000000007" style="position: absolute; width: 24.74px; height: 4.18px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1176px; top: 148px;" id="MoatPxIOPT1_25886981" scrolling="no"></iframe>

Publishers are struggling so much that there’s not much they won’t print if you give it to them free to use and stick ads on it. Let’s face it YEP are coining it in as this article gets shared around town fans.
And when I say coining it in, I mean scraping together about half a penny (if they’re lucky) for each read.
