I’d play with pace on Saturday, Leicester’s defence isn’t the most mobile , I’d play Diakoby at 9 , we need goals , the boy can play across the frontline , can’t defend any worse !! Pace? We haven't got any.

Any pace we've got has usually buggered off and made its run by the time we've stopped passing it sideways and backwards.

Any pace we've got has usually buggered off and made its run by the time we've stopped passing it sideways and backwards. It’s exactly this. Watching Palace counter was how we need to be. They just kept going, continued with their run and momentum. We counter, run down a cul de sac turn a few different directions and roll it back to a town shirt. Then 30 seconds later it either ends up back to the keeper, the other flank or an opposition player. We need to be brave.

Palace have better players than us . They have players who can do things that on occasion our players can’t .... you get what you pay for broadly . Wilf zaha would go for upwards of 80 million . We’ve overachieved year on year to the point that now our fans believe we are on a level playing field . But the reality is we aren’t .. not even with clubs like Crystal Palace who will finish 2/3 down the league . That’s not to say I won’t be going apeshit at Leicester if we aren’t matching them . But bigger picture that’s the reality

But bigger picture that’s the reality Palace may have better players, I don’t dispute that. Wilf ain’t worth £80m but I know enough to accept some dumb fuck will pay that for him. How do we even know our individual abilities on the counter if we don’t at least try? For most of Wagner’s time our counter attacks are exactly how I described mate, run, stop, turn, pass. I can remember at Birmingham away we scored in the first minute counter attacking, I think Lolley scored. You may say that was in the championship against Birmingham but I’d say it was relative given the players we had. This bunch are in the premiership on merit, be brave and show us how good you are because right now we are acting like we aren’t.

It's the way they are coached to play, not just the ability of the players on the pitch that are causing the problems.

Shocked nobody is going for Hogg! Has to come back in for me, as good as Billing has been we miss Hoggy breaking things up in the middle.. Difficult decision considering Billing or Lowe would have to make way though. Missed Hogg? Since Hogg has been out of the side we have dominated midfield against Everton and Palace, while we have looked the most attacking since Bournemouth last year. Mooy and Billing have been doing plenty of breaking up in the middle. As far as I’m concerned, Hogg is out until further notice, only to get a go if there is a dip in form or injury. Agree with this, I’d go further to say that Hogg only comes back in if we are going full defensive block mode either to protect a lead or against the top 6. I love Hoggy but he’s not necessary in an attacking formation.

BBC website " They (Town) have used 22 players in six Premier League games so far - no other team has used more."
SIX PL games ? 22 players ? is he including the league cup game ??

It's the way they are coached to play, not just the ability of the players on the pitch that are causing the problems. It's both. We should be braver, we definitely cut back too often. However, we applied those tactics in the Champ when we had arguably more athletic and fitter players than the opposition, but now we're against teams that are generally just as fit, but also stronger and faster man for man. We had to change, but I'll accept maybe we've gone too far. Finding that balance is harder than I get the feeling some seem to think.

Man Utd haven't won a league game at Town for 46 years............... Obviously because they haven't played here in all that time except once. Always make me laugh when they trot out these ridiculous stats, they have no credence, it's not as if the fixture has been regular, it's just ridiculous and bone idol.

I am well aware of what you said, but was posting against the irony of 64 years since we won at Leicester, just to show how irrelevant that stat is when we've hardly played them over that period....hence my Man utd post.
Do try and keep up, and calm down

Well, can't make my mind up just yet as to how confident I feel about this one.
Leicester started well v Bournemouth last week, and I think they may try and catch us off guard early on today, too. So it's very, very important that we keep them out in the first half hour. Get them frustrated and try and harry Frankenstein (I'm led to believe this is a nickname that was given to Harry Maguire in some circles) into making mistakes.
Really hope we go for our standard, yet out-of-favour 4-2-3-1 and mainly go for the jugular down the middle with lightning quick combination play with Pritchard playing a central role.
My team would be:
---------------------------Lössl
Durm-------------Zanka-------------Schindler---------Kongolo
---------------------Billing----Mooy
-------Diakhaby------------Pritchard--------------VLP
-----------------------Depoitre
When I look at that team, suddenly I feel more confident about a Town win.
