That's one of the problems. Too many signings and not enough quality. Three wingers signed in the summer and none of them good enough to start. If we have any brass left in Janauary I'd spend it on a decent striker and make do with the rest of the squad. So who would you buy then, oh font of all knowledge? See my response to Chips but it doesn't take a genius to work out where our problems lie.

I'd have said he was up there for man of the match for the first 30 minutes. But you can't be man of the match for turning up for 30 minutes, even if it included a goal. His 30 minutes in the second half were the worst of any player on the field. He was constantly losing the ball You can tell me I'm talking rubbish all you like. I know full well I'm not and I know full well that Wagner was mightly pissed off with him too as he was letting him know his feelings in front of 24,000 of us Watch the second half again. Then come back and tell me he was man of the match. If you do, you're lying I hate the whole concept of a man of the match. What purpose does it serve? Is it important? Do the players give two fucks? For frig sake, this is a team sport, why highlight one guy? Gives the sponsors another nod

I don't think I've seen a player so obviously gone fatigue wise that much at that high level before. Pritchard had completely gone after 30minutes. He was brilliant for that first half hour but think he had put all he literally had in to that half hour. He was stood blowing out of his arse apologising numerous times towards the end of the first half for not running or miss placed passes. Then carried on the same in the second half to a point where Wagner was waving at him as if to say what's up with you. He had a one on one with a massive head start aswel and was that knackered he was caught and made a mess of it. If mbenza had played like that for over half of the game he would have been absolutely slated on here. But saying that, mbenza wouldn't be able to play like Pritchard did for that first 30mins.
Strange his fitness is so visibly poor though. Them little legs not got much in them.

No idea who the striker would be but we have a highly paid (I guess) Sporting Director whose job it is to sort that out. There comes a time when we have to decide whether we want to be perennial strugglers or if we we're prepared to push the boat out in an attempt to progress and continue to enjoy the riches of the greedy league. Right now were a goalscorer short of being in with a chance of the latter. Problem is there are no guarantees . People are paying 30-40 million for players who turn out to be shit . Their wages tend to be north of 100k a year . Don’t get me wrong I’d live better players all over the park and I take your point . But if only it were that easy No guarantees, but no chance if we don't try. Players such as Wilson at Bournemouth & Murray at Brighton didn't cost a fortune relative to some of the fancy prices paid by some clubs but both have shown their ability at this level. Surely there must be strikers around who are chomping at the bit to prove their worth at this level who aren't going to break the bank.

No Anderson cost them upwards of £35m. A five second search on google told me that. He’ll also be on north of £100k a week Google once told me I could make £300 an hour working from home... Ive seen articles saying he broke their record fee which was £24 million. Seen some suggesting £30, some £35 and some £40 million. Looks like no one really knows until the accounts are released He was expensive though I'll agree with that. But he's nowhere near to more than the cost our whole squad. Would also help if we hadn't spunked £15-20 million of our kitty in the summer Google told me I could get a bigger Willy the wife begged me not to

Just curious, no need for the paranoia Couldn't care less if all premier League games are shown all over the world to be honest. Who would you play instead of Pritchard? Who incidentally was man of the match. I'd have said he was up there for man of the match for the first 30 minutes. But you can't be man of the match for turning up for 30 minutes, even if it included a goal. His 30 minutes in the second half were the worst of any player on the field. Then come back and tell me he was man of the match. If you do, you're lying Tog announced he was motm as we were leaving the stadium is what I meant. As for you talking rubbish, you seem to focus on any negative on a very good Town performance, a bit like otium does with Billing, and it gets tedious after a while. And if you say you don't, you're lying

We need a good January in the window, there must be a good striker out there in Europe wanting a crack at the Premier League, I don't mean any of these shite types like we bought this summer, let's pay the money, pay the wages. If we try to do it on the cheap we won't get what we need.

He was similar in the Fulham game though. We are never going to be a high scoring team and games are going to be very tight so to me it made sense today to sub him much earlier than Wagner did. He wasn't offering anything defensively and too tired and no pace to counter attack with so why not freshen it up and get mbenza on and be a big threat with his pace.

It’s easy to quote players who were signed for peanuts and have done well . If it were that easy to buy the next gem don’t you think everyone would be doing it ? Two strikers who spring to mind who posters got their knickers in a twist cos we didn’t sign them were that black lad at Grimsby , and the kid who Newcastle loaned out to cov and blackburn .. where are they now ? I can’t even remember their names ( was one called bogie , the other Adam something ?) FWIW I thought mounie was excellent today apart from he has lost a bit of swagger in front of goal . Last season he was pretty clinical ... We are doing bloody well . We are definitely over achieving . Today was a pulsating game . Up the town

I come on here tonight to say that today was the best I have seen Town play for a good while .Me and mine thoroughly enjoyed the game .Feel very much that we should have had a penalty but I will wait and watch it again( if it gets shown)before moaning too much . The post game fratching bickering and baiting going on this thread does my head in .Enjoy the fact that 4 from 6 this week is a great turn around . P.S. my MOM was split between Pritchard and Mounie .

His fitness has come on massively in the last 12 months Man of the match was Hogg though. He kept popping up everywhere. If he was better on the ball he would be top of everyone's January transfer list

Up the town Mounie was good today and I said us much at half time (before page 8 ). We need options though and it seems Depoitre isn't on the ball at the moment. The frustration shown by some on this thread (me included) is borne out of knowing that we are a goalscorer short of being a lower mid table team.

Ok, so it doesn't matter how well the team play as a whole, if a player (or two) make a mistake (or two) that's all we (as town fans) focus on? God help us as a club with "supporters" like you.
