So 15 games left of the season - 11 ponts so far. So just short of 2 points per game average to stay up? Not a cat's hell in chance seven wins, one draw and seven defeats will leave us on 33 points. Just enough to keep us up (17th) on goal difference over fulham.. Newcastle and cardiff bottom two.. BELIEVE. After the terrible news about the Cardiff striker, assuming worst case scenario that is likely to rip the heart out of the club - a real hammer blow for them.

Unfortunately the teams like Newcastle and Fulham seem to be hitting better form. Southampton looked appalling but they look destined for a top half finish. Fulham hitting form? They are 3 points ahead of us - the 3 points that we gifted them. They are going nowhere.

We’re not down yet, 45 points to play for, just need to put a good run together starting with Everton, too many defeatists on here, it is not over until it is over UTT

I feel abit sorry for jan. Hes all alone, he has no assistant, he hasnt washed, probably living out of a carrier bag and he only came with one set of clothes. At least he’s saved £65 on the EU worker permit he’ll have to buy. JACKPOT! Whoever said Brexit wasn't worth it? Could get himself a shirt and a mug from the club shop with that!

Unfortunately the teams like Newcastle and Fulham seem to be hitting better form. Southampton looked appalling but they look destined for a top half finish. He probably has more immediate challenges inside the club & inside the squad to change what appears to be a crumbling mindset. If he sorts that quick enough then who knows? The biggest challenge with our rivals is probably the fact that we've played most of them twice & if you allow 22pts and below to be classed as those rivals, then we only have 3 away games left in that bunch, e.g. the proverbial 6 pointers. We need lady luck to start smiling on us, not smiling like she did on Sunday and then reneging on it...

I'm a realist, the performances, the stats, the points, the goals (or lack of) all say one thing.. Relegation. The new fella needs to be judged next season, as he's joined a sinking ship.

Gutted to see Wagner go just because of all the achievements and memories over the past few years. However, feels like the right time to change and I’m quite excited to see what happens.
Big chance we are in the champ next year but with a bigger budget and fresh ideas. Just hope we can pick up some more points and goals towards the end of the season so the confidence can be picked up slightly and takes a bit of the pressure of Jan for the start of next year.
Great opportunity for him but takes some balls to take over at this stage with the lack of quality and confidence we have right now.

Impressed, enough of the Wagner comparisons already but his press conference reminds me of Wagner's first, confident, likeable, calm and a good communicator even in his second language.

Youngest manager in the Football League, with a good reputation for bringing on young talent. All well and good....but time is not on his side if we are to survive in the Prem.
Do all Germans now have facial hair? Jan, Wagner, Klopp....Merkel......

Following on from the spoof video theme yesterday, they've missed a trick here by not having him obscure the silent H... We're probably puzzling a lot of opposition fans just now, by saying this bloke has big boots to fill despite being rooted to the foot of the table. I think it's great we've got this bloke, apparently turned down QPR last yr, so you could arguably say he wasn't just looking for the first English job that came along? I saw a bit of the Bolton v WBA game last night & it's not too long ago we were rejected by Phil Parkinson. I know times are different for him & us, but we're still riding the of a just now, even if we have hit some choppier waters...

Looks confident, certainly more than Wagner in his initial press conference. His English is also excellent, particularly as he’s not presumably been using it that much in Germany.
I like the cut of his jib, presents himself well and seems very ambitious and keen, not overawed at all. I get the feeling he’s been planning for this for quite some time, maybe even longer than the 2 years we’ve been speaking to him.
Absolutely massive job for him to turn things around though and how he speaks in front of the media means nothing if he can’t motivate our players and put some tactics in place to get us winning games and get some belief back in the place.

In fairness he has 7 days to...... 1. Make Mounie a Goalscorer. 2. Teach Diakhaby how to play football 3. Teach zanka positional awareness 4. Show hadj how to defend, beat a man and deliver a cross. 5. Find an ounce of creativity in pritchard 6. Help schindler find his best form 7. Work out what he is going to do with Mbenza 8. Find a massive rocket and shuv it billings arse 9. Find a couple of german gems to help us on our way. 10. Teach pritchard how to kick a ball properly. And two seconds to read your tripe and bin it

Big Sam: wouldn't touch that Hudds job with a barge-pole. hudds employ a German manager. Big Sam: harrumph... total lack of opportunities for brit managers these days. what a risible c***. Excellent, underused word.

You're making the same mistake as a lot of people in thinking that these things are mutually exclusive. In your terms I'm a realist: I think we'll go down but that doesn't stop me thinking that we've got the opportunity to stay up and have to approach every game as a potential three points and a step towards that goal. In terms of next season it'll help Siewert see who's up for the fight.

Excellent that, very informative and positive. Worth registering and the 12 minute listen. Basic summary on the question- planned for 2 or 3 out and 2 or 3 in. 3 have gone out and 1 come in so far.

Ask some searching questions Unless Oggy already knows what is going to happen, but has been asked not to raise it yet as the process hasn't been completed yet. You could be correct but they could say something even if it is what you suspect rather than just reiterating what we already know.
