Awesome, I watched it 3 times... You must have spotted the guy with binoculars behind the hoardings then?

Points.
1. Like him... He's bossy. Appears to be nice but comes across as arrogant about the way the team should play.
2.THE BALL MOVES FORWARDS!!!! WOW! actually coaching them that the first touch should get the ball moving forwards... Does that mean the players had it coached out of them and we meant to keep it close (possession football)
3. I think it was Diakhaby on that close control drill. 😆
4. Players looked a bit sulky, one or two looked pissed off. Possibly due to the camera being there(?)
5. Why film his first session? That should be time for him and the players to be relaxed.

So anyway any clues as to the next 48 hours - new players/coaches??!!

Like the emphasis he’s pointing on scoring at the end, getting the players to celebrate scoring and Pritchard to follow up on the rebound. Get them hungry for goals.
Also, Hudson helping him for now in training but presumably just a stop gap and some continuity so that he can get to know the players as soon as possible.

All fans asked to cheer the lads on at warm weather training , they need the 12th man …………….. or have we now got to expect the squad to be on fire instead of us?

Hadn't realised Bielsa's spies could produce quality like that... Not surprised Lampard was pissed off...

Not sure we need any more up evil.

Anyway if he's a little bit bossy and arrogant then the number two will have to be nice and friendly, simples.
Like fergie and his assistants.

We’re playing Everton in the next game, no time to ne relaxed, need to try and draw or even win.

At least the yellow poles didn't wreck the masterplan by going one up.
On a serious note, interesting that he is having to coach them in the need to move the ball away from the opponent with your first touch. And get a shot off early.

Imagine they didn't look particularly happy cos it was minus three out. The face Smith had on is the same one I have when I'm walking the dog in the morning

It's not about coaching the players to do simple stuff, it's about building up his style of play. They haven't been coached out of anything, they were being asked to play a certain way, and that will now change.
Its exactly the same as when Wagner spent pretty much a whole day without the ball. He wasn't teaching them how to run at players, he was showing them his style of play with a team press.

Mooy will get a better offer. I doubt that the manager under Deans tenure will get access to the budget again. Looks like a tight ship until sold. I wont say that has taken us down but it has not helped. Better a secure future than a glory season.. Disappointed we did not go for it more after staying up though. Annoyed there is 20 mill for canalside but not two up and coming goals-scorers. Canalside could have waited a year. It was on...all we needed was a striker, a footballing centre-half and proper in the hole guy. Would we keep £20m back or would it be a long term job such as a loan and paid back over time. Isnt that how most players are paid for? Its still £20 mill out of the playing budget. Its 3 Kevin Prince-Boatengs. Should have waited until we stayed up this season...in my opinion. Canalside was upgraded a couple of years back.

No, not arrogant, confident, knows what he wants and how to get it, furthermore, he will get it Reckon he likes a direct style, we need to get him shouting 'forrard', he is in Yorkshire now! If one or two did look sulky maybe they have been in a comfort zone for a bit As said above, no not the time to be relaxed, we are in a relegation battle, we need work, dam hard work from everyone, if anyone is not up for the fight, get them out the club in the next 7 days and replaced with players who are up for a fight and prepared to give 1000% and more. I can see us starting games at 100mph, going for a very early goal and unsettling the opponent

With it being bricks and mortar I'm not sure the financing would mean the amounts are a direct opportunity cost (i.e. it will impact the playing budget, but not penny for penny). Plus you almost seem to suggest the additional players would guarantee survival. If they did though and the competition spend a boat load again, do we postpone it another year? And repeat. Just seems a daft argument to me. Leave em to it.

If he genuinely believes that we can stay up then he is totally deluded I'm afraid. What on earth do you expect him to say? I know it's a challenge, I've just got here, 45 pts to play for, not going to happen so I'll be prepping for next season... In his first press conference... Tell me you're taking the piss here? Yeah it's mathematically possible I guess. Suppose we could still say that when every game is literally a must win to stay in the league.

If the players don't like been filmed they will be made up with 4 days coverage from Portugal.
Wouldn't surprise me if the miserable ones are either been replaced this window (We need a right back) or know their time is up by what the gaffer has said formation wise.
