This seems yet another Dortmund up and coming young manager that has maybe been given the managerial job on the recommendation of Wagner and maybe his best mate Klopp This is a massive appointment especially as a relatively " UNKNOWN " is to be trusted with any future club funds which could include parachute payments Town could get one crack at coming straight back up " IF RELEGATED " ,and how vital those parachute payment funds will be to pay any retained players high wages I very much doubt players like Mooy and certain others would take a pay cut if asked to play at a lower level , but cannot see the point in wasting money bringing in players if they are no better than whats in the present squad Siewart must be well thought of to be given the position at the club , and seem to be taking one Massive gamble with an expectation levels similar to what happened with Wagner . Not on the recommendation of Wagner, or Klopp. WHO THEN

No one can argue we're sleepwalking to relegation any more...at least we've 'done something' albeit due to DW walking out... It's a bold gamble by the club (again) and wouldn't it be just brilliant if Siewert's first game was a 5-0 thrashing of Everton.... we'd be really looking forward to the Chelsea and Arsenal games then... Dare I dream...? DW did not walk out. It was agreed by all parties and the most impressive thing is the speed the club are sorting the situation out. It would be great, but possibly a big ask, if there were players coming in as well.

Does anybody know for sure As Webber was here when contact was first made with Siewert back in 2016, I reckon so.

Not on the recommendation of Wagner, or Klopp. WHO THEN Winter confirmed in his interview yesterday that Wagner did not recommend him, and was not aware we were discussing this with him. He knew we were discussing with people, but no names.

So Winkler to replace Rebbe, Buhler as you were? Suggests we want Winkler as the new man's number 2, so will replace Buhler. If Winkler isn;t given the nickname 'Fonzy' it will be disappointing. Heyyyyy!

Heyyyyy! That was my initial thought until I noticed his previous, Buhler is still on the website next to Siewer.

Big Sam: wouldn't touch that Hudds job with a barge-pole. hudds employ a German manager. Big Sam: harrumph... total lack of opportunities for brit managers these days. what a risible c***. Excellent, underused word. As much as he was arguably hard done to with the England job, most of what I heard about him after makes him fit that description, with 'money obsessed' preceding.

Mooy will get a better offer. I doubt that the manager under Deans tenure will get access to the budget again. Looks like a tight ship until sold. I wont say that has taken us down but it has not helped. Better a secure future than a glory season.. Disappointed we did not go for it more after staying up though. Annoyed there is 20 mill for canalside but not two up and coming goals-scorers. Canalside could have waited a year. It was on...all we needed was a striker, a footballing centre-half and proper in the hole guy.

It should be quite a simple message Jan takes in.... Attack. Attack. Attack,Attavk,Attack and he should ask the fans to chant it for 90 mins to get the message home. ....is what we lack. I doubt there's any fan who could say they haven't been bored and we need to show more attacking intent, but anyone who thinks we should go absolutely toe for toe needs to avoid games against at least the top six.

couple of bits really jumped out in the training vid.. Fast forwards passing... Also really liked when showing the shooting part he's screaming at pritch(?) to finish, FINISH then shouts 'never give up on the ball'

It will be really interesting to see the team for Tuesday - fresh eyes and all that Sounds like he prefers a proper 433 with the front 3 actually playing high up as much as possible I think it'll be Mounie with Mbenza one side and Diakhaby or Kachunga on the other side Lossl Durm Schindler Zanka Kongolo Hogg Puncheon Mooy Mbenza Mounie Kachunga

Harsh. That was Depoitre! Just think their far more to it than passing forward ie movement. understandings and making the right pass. Without movement it’s pointless. I get so frustrated with Mounie doesn’t make runs or get ahead of his marker when a cross comes in. I’m hoping he ups his game if he knows the service will come, as previously it would often go backwards instead of ending up with a cross... so maybe he stopped making those runs as the ball rarely came in.

Hopefully the new coach and coaches can improve our attacking play maybe bring in more additions and give us alternatives.
