Only time will tell if DW left us with enough time left. That is not a reflection of DW except that he would probably do that for the good of the club. Nobody expects JS to keep us up. Everyone is expecting him to use the rest of the season to bed in and get a handle on transfers this summer so there is no pressure of expectation comes with his appointment. As someone else posted we may as well just relax and sing our way out of the division, or maybe, just maybe sing our way back in. Either way let’s just enjoy what’s left of the season.

Screw that, we're getting 27. Yeah, 27. You know why? Because I bought this stupid hat that philincalifornia said was required And I got this stupid dog because, again, phil said so And it has to wear this stupid sweater because I live in a humid continental climate characterized by severe winters and the poor bastard would freeze to death But the most important reason: I found the underwear that I was wearing for the Wolverhampton game (my bad about Sunday, I thought I had the right pair on but, frankly, they all look the same.) Said underwear is in a position of honor in my drawer only to be taken out on match days. Take it to the bank. Is that underwear from the Peter Sutcliffe collection? I'll admit I had to research that. No, but I'm intrigued.

Of the three upcoming teams, I think we are hitting them all at the best time possible. Everton are going nowhere under Silva, Sarri is p*ssing off his players and Arsenal are being Arsenal. None will be easy, but at another stage of the season they could have been a lot harder. I'll have some of that as a chaser too!

Everton played us off the park last season, and that was when Big Sam was their manager, and they wanted him out!

I was at Goodison this season and we played well. VLP was outstanding that day (where is he now?) and Lowe/Billing created a good goal. We played particularly well at Goodison but we still didn't beat them, and they are a better team than us. They won't be so vulnerable again and will see us as an easy three points. It would be great to beat them, but we have only won five league games in a calendar year. Let's not fool ourselves.

My original point was that all the three upcoming teams we could have been playing at a stage of the season when they are flying. None of them are currently, so it is about the best time we could face them. You seem to think it's impossible we can beat them, a tall order yes, but given we more than matched them at Goodison, added to new manager bounce and their mediocre form, we have as good a chance as we'll get IMO.
