One in today 5 in the pipeline inc three PL loan signings from our Fixture Breakfast reporter .... It’s the quality of the loan signings that will determine our season. Remember the effect of Mooy, Palmer, Brown. Last season WBA had Harvey Barnes until Jan - he was brilliant and they couldn’t replace him when Leicester recalled him. Mings and Abrahams for Villa. Wilson and others at Derby...

Looking at our start to the season, we need to have players through the door as early as possible. We don’t want to be doing business right up to deadline day when we need players settled and firing from opening day. I’d be happy if we aren’t involved in deadline day signings because it means business was taken care of.

So what did Winter exactly say from those who didn't see it? Hodgkinson takeover should be ratified in the next few days, two players expected in this week and two likely next week. PL tough and unforgiving etc, losing often by very narrow margins etc. Exciting start under the lights, atmosphere, cameras etc. vs beaten play off finalists at JS

Who could be a decent addition, still young and has talent, James Wilson. Released by Man United, has a loan at Aberdeen. Obvious talent, needs it bringing out

One of the most gifted, natural finishers to come through the United youth system but has been hampered by some horrible injuries. Not sure I would risk it myself, but wouldn't be the worst cheap option out there

The lad might do better if he knows he has a regular club and is close to home but it’s a no from me. Need GOALS next season, we've been starved.

Brief summary of Phil Hodgkinson's talk at Fixtures Breakfast this morning:
Says we lost our identity after Spurs at home season before last and he wants it back
Spoke this morning with a lot of passion – probably more media friendly than Hoyle People will have to graft under him – but it’s totally about getting the right player in with the right attitude
Tommy Elphick is the leader we have missed – Schindler is a leader too but not vocal enough
One player announced today – one possibly tomorrow, plus two from overseas who we have agreed terms with. We’ve been linked with over 40 players but only 2 are right
Three Premier loans sorted who will be of the same impact as Aaron Mooy and are all very exciting additions
Some players do want out but no one leaves until valuation is met. We do not have to sell, he’s had a lot of offers for players but rejected them all He’s sat everyone down and told them that they will have to graft if they don’t go as we are paying their wages
Sounds as though from what he said Billing is definitely leaving

Foreign player Bockhorn and another? Premier league trio, young lad from Everton?

By the what's been written on him I expect Brown to be the next announcement, but the one after that to be a surprise one that nobody's mentioned

We’d win the league by Feb.
