maybe Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates are heading a consortium of bidders........ Wouldn't have enough financial clout for some on here. And - they're foreigners.

Sean actually took a screenshot last week from this forum, so he definitely comes on. Doubt he's got much interest in contributing on here anymore though.b Is that the same Jarvis who when interviewed on Sky Sports pre our first season in the Prem smugly said "we're going to bring something to the Premier League it has never seen before" That didn't age well I'd keep a low profile, too. He probably thinks nobody remembers. What did we bring, Sean, that was so memorable, aside from being an absolute embarrassment this season? We'll be forgotten soon enough Tell us again about why they asked you to stop volunteering at The Samaritans...

He's probably one of the best directors the club has had in my extremely long life. Communication with supporters and approachability second to none. Agree with this, the guy has been superb. Unfortunately he's always first in the firing line when the nuggets pipe up too. Agreed, I think the problem was between December and Feb (ish ) and after deans “sleepwalking “ comments when we really hit buffers no one from the club could be seen for dust , Jarvis included. It seemed he was literally everywhere when doing well and when we needed him he vanished. As it happens I’m really grateful to him ,dean and David for last 3 years or so it’s been amazing. However I can also see why people were annoyed by his absence.

The Chairman/Owners absence should have no effect on the running of a football club if a proper board of Directors is in place.Look at Leicester, their man got killed. It hasn,t stopped them.

Nevertheless, Julian Winter’s role surely involves running the club competently in the absence of the Chairman?
I know it’s sometimes unfair to judge from the outside but the decisions around hiring and firing key personnel, transfer business and communication with the fans during that time don’t look particularly well judged.

Been said before perhaps, but I think we were unfortunately hit by the "perfect storm" of Dean Hoyle's illness and David Wagner's lack of energy/drive/interest a long time before this season started. I have absolutely no idea about DW - was he burnt out/undermined/exhausted/whatever - but he wasn't the manager he was 2 years ago.

Could Dean be in discussion with Qatar seeing as there’s a rumour they’re dumping PSG😉

It’s cowardly and repugnant in equal measure. I am not suggesting anything to the contrary, however Sean Jarvis it seemed wanted to be part of the party when things going well and seemed to go missing when things were going wrong. From memory a year ago he was on Look North , Radio Leeds , Calendar, Down at the Mac and I’m sure some others . When Dean was unable to comment due to illness in the tough Dec to Feb periods this year he was nowhere . I’m sure he’s a throughly decent guy and as I said in my original post I want to thank him personally for being part of the last 3 years as it’s been amazing. Its a pity he’s marred his tenure by his perceived absence in that period when its seems the supporters needed a familiar face to offer some / any reassurance.

I think there should have been some dialogue with the fans in recent months but that isn't one or two peoples' fault. That is a failing of the club as a whole.

Short of giving us all a cuddle after every defeat I don’t really see what he could have done. With the state of the season we’ve had and the potential take over he probably couldn’t offer any assurances, there’s no point in getting your hands dirty putting a plaster on somebody that’s had their head blown off.

Sean Jarvis is the face of the commercial side of the club and as you would expect is prominent in anything pushing that side of things. Look North, Radio Leeds, Calender et al doing HIS JOB. To expect him to take on anything more is totally unfair. You do him a miss service sir!

I definitely think it's unfair, SMJ has (bar an interview by Winter with 5live before the Newcastle game) the only visible board member since Xmas. He's led the season ticket sales and the other community initiatives. I wouldn't expect him to lead on the pitch matters.

Not his fault but I think we deserved a much better level of communication from the club this season. I can’t think of one thing that’s gone right for us this season. Roll on 2019/ 20!

Go on, quote me on that. I can't see I've mentioned the name Phil anywhere. Not even Phil Starbuck. You have mentioned the name in the post I replied to, but whatever you have plugged this Liverpool company who we all know is run by a certain person who first name is Phil. Maybe if you stopped spouting that you seem to be in the know would be a start, because you know bugger all! Maybe I do...

Very underwhelmed. I hope he's got some money behind him and that he's not just relying on parachute payments.
