1/2/3-0 and we’ve done well, 4/5-0 probably a more likely scoreline but can see us getting a right pasting tonight and it finishing 6/7/8-0. Really hope this isn’t the case.

I don't think it will be the absolute humiliation that some on here are predicting. If they get to 3-0 early second half, I expect the foot will be taken off the gas. Even giving us a right pasting they're hardly likely to close on the Man C GD, so no point going for it daft and knackering them for upcoming games...

I was thinking same thing, a midweek game coming up so if they are 2 or 3-0 up at half time could take off a few more valuable players and just cruise through second half with subs without necessarily adding much to scoreline.

istory of Huddersfield Town V Liverpool - they 1st played each other on the 6th March 1920; Town won 2-1 in the FA Cup. Since then the stats are below- Huddersfield Town Won 31 Drawn 17 Liverpool Won 30 As shit as we are at the minute and as much as we have been a lower end club for 40ish years that stat makes me proud to be a Town fan and highlights our great history. The fact we have played Liverpool 78 times is something to be proud of. The fact (until 10:00 tonight) we have beaten them more times just shows this small club tag we've been labelled with over the past couple of years is utter bollocks.

Since then the stats are below- Huddersfield Town Won 31 Drawn 17 Liverpool Won 30 Not sure how you have come up with 78 competitive games between us. I have a total of 75. I guess you could get 76 if you count the Charity Shield in 1922 but i don't believe the club see that as an official match, and in fact we don't list it as an honour on our website even though we won it. www.htafc.com/club/history/. Total Games Played 75Town Wins - 29 Liverpool Wins - 29 Draws - 17 League Games Total Played 71Town wins - 26 Liverpool Wins - 28 Draws - 17 EDIT - I see the Liverpool stats site also has 75 games plus the Charity Shield www.lfchistory.net/Opposition/Team/Profile/18. They also have 2 wartime games listed which i guess is how you got to 78.

It's a bit of a fantasy but.... Personally I'd like to see something like this: Grant Mounie Pritchard Mooy Billing Bacuna Kongolo Schindler Jorgensen Durm Lossl Or if Diakhaby is fit...
Diakhaby Grant Pritchard Mooy Billing Bacuna Kongolo Schindler Jorgensen Durm Lossl Thoughts?

Isn’t Liverpool’s goal difference inferior to Citys? Given it is I’d assumed they’d see tonight’s game as being a great chance to remedy this. Don’t want to sound defeatist but I cannot see beyond a right mullering at Anfield. We all know what happens when we concede within the first 30 mins against a fairly average Premier League team.

I actually thought it was bigger than it actually is, currently 8 goals difference. So I suppose they could come out chasing a battering and trying to stick some pressure on Man C, but also think Klopp will now be thinking about hedging his bets for the CL and trying to win that. They've nowt to lose I suppose, but hopefully we're not going to just capitulate tonight. I know our GD is now the worst, but in reality we've not suffered as many big losses as an outsider might think we have...

Outside of the 6 City put past us early season, it hasn’t been too bad. Just have a terrible feeling about tonight though. Can see an early goal or 2 and our heads going down and we all know what follows then.

If Siewert starts Hamer at Anfield then he will have lost the incredibly little amount of respect that I have for him. That would be akin to throwing the game completely for me.

I reckon we would put up a better fight if we had our old team from league 1 than this current team of shithouses. One of the problems is that our confidence is completely shot. So given that, perhaps in our League 1 pomp that team could have given a better account of themselves but we’ll never know.

Hamer has been accused to going to ground too quickly on here. I was watching some highlight reel of Deulofeu and his goal at Watford this season was about 5ft max off the ground as it crossed the line and it only went in because Lossl was for some reason on his knees before he even shot. Hamer is a liability but I think people have short memories when it comes to Lossl.
What's that about a player having his best game sat on the bench?
Anyway. Lossl isn't here next season

Lossl isn't here next season I do agree there seems to be a theme of players out injured, who are on loan, out of favour, etc. being remembered in a better light. However, you cannot remotely compare that Watford goal to some of those Hamer has let in unless you have an agenda or are a weird obsessive type. It was bang in the corner. PS - I don't think you are the latter.

I couldn't care less about Mbenza. If I were in charge I'd have cut his loan short and brought in a proper winger in January.
