It feels that way though chips, I’m normally an eternal optimist, you’ve got to be when supporting this club haven’t you? But are you not concerned with the current state of affairs; how a stable, vibrant club has been transformed in such a short period of time is alarming. I reckon we are in an ok position . We need to relieve the manager of his duties imo and we can still have a pretty decent season . This is NOT Wadsworth era I agree, Jan needs to go, he should have been relieved of his duties prior to this season even commencing. It’s not Wandsworth era at present I agree but unless the club changes it’s approach soon it does have shades of 2000/2001 (the season we were relegated from the champ)

Sadly not. I have a list for PH’s next Q&A fear not! But if PH answered most forgive me i’ll be glad for you to fill me in on the answers to a few - In fact just 1 will do ‘Which of the Pure businesses are ‘very profitable and very successful’ as Hodgkinson has explained to the fans. Companies House suggests this isn’t Pure Legal Limited or Pure Business Group Limited?’ A very simple question to comments he made to HTTV It was well advertised. I'm assuming you knew it was on . Lots of people happy to throw lots of things about on the internet but when it came to it everyone stayed at home . I'm not an apologist for PH . But he is our chairman , he was chosen by DH when we had other suitors, he is clearly a town fan. So for now I'm happy to let him get on with it It was well advertised. Work away, followed with interest online / via here / Examiner. I have no doubt he is a Town fan, where have I questioned this? But back to your point - you said he answered most of my questions If you can’t answer the 1 very simple question I’ve asked - feel free to answer some of the others you say he answered?

Seems to me most peoples beef with PH is that they cant google "Phil Hodgkinson net worth" and get an answer they like the look of. Phil Hodgkinson said Pure was ‘very profitable and very successful’ He made the comment not the fans Pure Legal Limited in the year ended March 18 had turnover of £4.9m and made an operating loss before tax of £3.6m I must have mistakenly thought this was the main Pure company But clearly he cannot have meant this company! I would like to understand which company he meant - It should be a statement supported by factual public information

Seems to me most peoples beef with PH is that they cant google "Phil Hodgkinson net worth" and get an answer they like the look of. You can't Google Phil Hodgkinson and get any idea as to his worth. That in itself is worrying. Plenty of rumours going around at the weekend as to his financial situation but I find those rumours hard to believe as I can't see that Dean would have handed to club over to someone in that position And how much do you think came up about Dean Hoyles worth prior to him selling Card Factory? Even afterwards he's openly laughed when the topic of Sunday times rich list has come up in Q and A's. I'd advise you to pay little attention to said rumours.

Whatever the situation is at the club presently, Dean Hoyle’s actions are directly responsible.

Maybe Dean has taken some of his interest free loan back, maybe the 25% stake left in the club was his entitlement to wages/bonuses etc. which he may leave in the club to be passed down to his son's one day & then one day to his grandkids.....sounds a bit more like the Dean I/we all know? UTT.

Well I suppose the alternative is that folk could have got together, formed a consortium, then gone to Dean Hoyle and asked him his price.
If he'd sold to that consortium and you (the OP + others) were then asked on a fans forum to lay the deal bare, would you?
Because that's what you and a few other people on here are asking for.
Don't confuse your emotional attachment with the club, the fact you buy tickets, season tickets and merchandise etc. with being an investor. You're a punter & you pay for a product, why should you expect to be given a deeper insight into the inner workings of a financial takeover? Would you question the same motives of your bank who provide your mortgage (or let's assume you own a business & have business rates). If your bank were to be taken over and the acquirer were to hike rates you'd be understandably pissed off, so you may well want to have a say & voice your complaint. But a football club that's looked after its fans brilliantly for the last few yrs, nah. There's so little to complain about with this club, but because Phil isn't demonstrating the same immediate upward trajectory that Dean Hoyle created all those yrs ago (from a massively different starting point), some folk are ready to set up a lynch mob.
Thankfully takeovers only happen every few yrs - Mastercracker has put it far more concisely than me earlier in the thread...

Seems to me most peoples beef with PH is that they cant google "Phil Hodgkinson net worth" and get an answer they like the look of. Everyone seems fixated on the fact that companies house shows that most companies within the Pure group were worth less than a £1m last year. But this might Be because the directors pay themselves £xm salaries every year and they can't see his bank account. The legal profession doesn't have loads of stock that adds value etc they deal in people, so apoat from the buildings (probably leased) wages are the main cost I would imagine.

Dean Hoyle did a fabulous job for HTAFC and the supporters. If it weren't for his illness I'm sure he still would be continuing doing the same. He's fully entitled to take back whatever he put in.
As for PH I'm sure he's going to do the very best he can for the club he supports. If Jan doesn't improve results (and he does have a decent set of players to work with) I'm sure PH will take the necessary action to keep us in the championship.

Has Dean ruined his legacy? What, because of three shite games in to the new season without him?! Fucking grow a pair. I don’t even care if I get banned, you tosser.
Look at what he achieved, one of the greatest chairman’s in football ever, even if he has got the chairman call wrong, it will have been with his best intentions, baring in mind he also was seriously fucking ill.
It’s not looking good right now for the team and the three games have been shocking but to even question him ruin his legacy after everything he’s done is actually laughable. Football fans as fickle as they get. Jokers.

He should have taken 49 million, and used the other million to build a fuck off statue of himself outside the ground. Just think Wadsworth and Davey.

Many chairmen once at the helm of a club state big plans which often come to nothing, hoyley came in and stated his desire to get to the prem, and get to the prem we did, sure it was a close run thing as was our last two promotions before it, but he`ll go down as one of towns best ever chairmen because quite simply... he delivered.

Bizarre to think that over half the people complaining about our current situation weren't around when he took over and we were actually shit.
This isn't aimed at the OP by the way just a generalisation based on the facts of how many fans went to games then and now. I do wonder how much the views of those that were going then and those that started going in the last 3 years or so differ.
I can't fault Hoyle for anything. He made mistakes everyone does but to get the club to having a chance of getting out of League 1 was a massive plus from what we were doing every year. To get out of League 1 was amazing, from losing games consistently to some pretty small unfashionable sides we were suddenly playing some massive clubs. The next promotion was a fantasy that a few years before a lot of us probably thought we'd never see. There was amazing days from League 1 up to the Premier League and they were all down to Dean Hoyle who sacrificed a hell of a lot of time and money for it. He can't get his time back but if he can get his hard earned money back then I'm not going to begrudge him that. It's a game at the end of the day and he has his health and family that are more important so I'd rather think about the incredible memories than sit wondering whether or not he's taken his money back. It's his money at the end of the day.
I'm frustrated we haven't invested further in the squad or brought in better players but I'm also frustrated that the players we do have are better than they're showing at the moment and that's a far bigger concern.

Interesting angle. I think the smoke and mirrors surrounding the takeover, doubts over Phil's net worth, transfer policy and performance on the pitch are all contributing to various theories. Transparency and a straightforward deal would have avoided these types of discussion.
I now feel it's quite obvious why Wagner walked, having seen the financial constraints who would blame him, any manager with ambition and high stock would have walked. Total no brainer.

Most Pure companies look to be small companies exempt from filing audited accounts - ie he cannot be referring to these companies as ‘very successful or very profitable’ He went out of his way to make this statement The largest one I can find with filed accounts has turnover < £5m / loss of > £3m He obviously wouldn’t be so daft to say to the fans in his first interview that Pure is ‘very profitable / very successful’ if it is not. Obviously he wouldn’t be that daft or fans would lose all faith in his word... He made a clear simple statement Simple question - Which company

I don't think you can tarnish the legacy he built in the c10 years both on and off the field but he is a business man at the end of the day. There are murmurs of him "blotting his copy book" a bit internally and he does want his money back asap. The "sale" to PH has put a layer of suspicion around things which probably didn't need to be there. BUT Dean will forever be known, rightfully, as a Town Legend and probably one of if not the "best" owner we've ever had.
