I get the impression that if Fred West polled up promising a winning team there would be some calling for him to be given a chance. Fucking hell. Bowyer has done some daft shit, he’s an older man. Sure there are plenty of people that have done daft stuff like him, having scraps being a twat in the younger days. Bit of a wayward comparison that. Seems those that don’t want him because of his past are all little angels then? Fuck off with your lies the lot of ya 😂

Its 18 years ago now ....have you never done anything wrong ?! Ffs hes moved on and done a fine job at charlton....I dont know him, nor would I be thrilled at his appointment because there are no guarantees and I'm a bit bored with the game right now .....but if its him then he deserves our support because we are fans of OUR club. Just like we gave Powell, Robins, Grayson, Clark, wagner and seiwert under Dean's tenure. Add the majestic incident and I'm afraid the already hard to motivate team may not be quite so forgiving when they do a google search of lee Bowyer.... I can think of 10+ BME players in our squad... would be a bad choice? Ex leeds as well. Not alot going for it.

Nothing like Barton.......spats when young but appears to have learned from them and has an excellent if short track record. It feels like invasion of the professionally offended again.......we have to get behind whoever's the board appoint. ( unless its wadsworth) Or Monk Or Carvahal Or fat Steve Evans Or supermac Or Gordon Watson Or Etienne Verveer Or jan Siewert Blimey Etienne Verveer, there's a name from the past and that outrageous dive he did playing for the Chickens against Town in the League Cup.

The lad made mistakes (dont we all!) but throughout it all he performed well on the pitch. More than our current bunch have done and hes shown he can manage with adversity also.....as for the BME aspect, it's not even an issue. Hes managed the likes of grant, Taylor, kayal, hamed, Leko without any mention of prior issues. If he wants the job and the board want him then get cracking.

Why does ex Leeds ever come into it? It's not an issue for me and it shouldn't be for anyone. His past actions are indefensible but they were a long time ago. People grow up and change.

Was 27ish when he punched Dyer. 30+ when he had to apologise to a grandma and a bit older when he stamped on a player. He was 42 when he got a 3 match ban for abusing a referee, but February was a long time ago.

Are you seriously citing a recent three match ban while the manager of a football league team, as a reason not to give the bloke a job? I can't stress enough how much I'd prefer the likes of Karanka and Rowett, but I think you've lost your marbles if you think a footballer swearing at a fan or a referee in the heat of the moment is good reason to essentially ostracise them from future employment.

Let's hope this all becomes moot and Rowett interviews really well!

Done brilliant at Charlton, obviously knows Grant well but his previous off (and on) field antics don't really match the image the club have tried to create over the past few seasons Thats fine by me. The clubs image is soft and friendly. I would rather us be hated. Us to be feared. Not a fun day out where the opposition turns up has 2 shots and takes the 3 points.

It would just be another nail in the demise of the club. Wagner to bowyer who seems to be hailed as a firefighter in 8 months.
Mismanagement at its finest.

We need a bit of nastiness and rid the nice day out super friendly club thing..let's try be winners. If it is Bowyer I think it shows some ambition and drive on his part and get a cautiously good feeling about it.

Bowyer won’t leave charlton or rather London for us. He will have much bigger fish to fry soon & why move from a club he loves in chaos than to another club away from his spiritual home in chaos.

Adam hammill was a fans favourite even though he attacked a female paramedic.
Some proper do gooders on here. End of the day if Bowyer is the man and get us collecting points, I couldn't care less about his past

Yeah, opposition managers, players and fans would be united in their trepidation at having to face Town if Lee Boywer was in charge here, absolutely frozen in fear I reckon 😂🤣

Well the Charlton fans reckon it's a no go on Bowyer coming here, many on here don't fancy him having the job so that leaves the question who then? Hannes Wolf has dropped like a stone in the odds leaving Danny Cowling as 2nd favourite at the moment and the question has to be asked, would anyone have taken any notice of him if Lincoln hadn't beaten us in the cup? So Adkins or Rowett? or?

They’ll be away from Lincoln within the year I bet.

Every day is becoming a bit of a challenge for you regarding Town. History must tell you that given your pessimistic and doom laden perspective, you are following the wrong club? If you only wish to say I told you so, then post it in capitals a load of times and then desist for a while. The continual sniping and smart arse comments became incredibly grating a while ago. We are suffering, we all know this and it might cheer us all up if you put your 'suspicions and allegations' in full, in writing to the club with your full details. 🤔🤔

If it is Bowyer i think he will sort it out, it will bring publicity and at least be plenty to talk aboutt and maybe some controversy

Charlton fans saying Bowyer won’t come...
If he’s been for an interview (no idea how true that is)... then I’d take Charlton fan views with a pinch of salt.

Maybe for the money? Maybe for the Challenge? Maybe because he's disillusioned where he is? Who Knows? FWIW I don't think it will be him but if we do appoint him we need to back him.
