Agree don’t know when we last won there but it feels a bit like Preston a very unlucky place for HTFC to visit. Only been to Ashton Gate once and we won 1-0, first game I saw Town win at my fourth attempt, however it was 1968. I recall Steve Smith scoring and Garland and Galley playing for Bristol. The fact that there's a Town fan based in Skeggy excites me much more than the inevitable loss at Ashton Gate on Saturday.

I’ll take a 5-5 draw seeing as I’m going....(or a 5-0 win)

I seem to remember John Galley scoring a hat trick in a 3-0 win for Bristol at Leeds Road. I think it was his debut too.

From a Bristol City follower, hope as many of you can make the journey on saturday 30th November Firstly THERE WILL NO PAY ON THE DAY and this will NOT be changed. So please buy your match day tickets on tuesday night if your heading to the home game against Swansea Do NOT USE M4/M32 route and don't try to negotiate the roads and streets of Bristol YOU WILL GET LOST Coming by road. You will NOT be able to get off at junction 18 avonmouth due to road works Go further on down and get off at junction 19 and use the A369 into Ashton Gate Wales Rugby Men and Woman are at Cardiff stadium on saturday morning and saturday afternoon So expect M5 south bound to be very busy,so set out early. Parking is normally in the streets around the area as long as you are there by 1pm please don't block drive ways or park on corners. If you are coming by train there is a local train service to PARSON STREET from Bristol Temple Meads Good train times as most trains from the North as well as the London direction arrive at quarter past the hour and quarter to the hour it takes you two thirds of the way to the ground and walk the rest of the way You will pass Sainsburys on the left with restaurant,Robins pub again on your left hand side When you approach the ground I suggest you walk past wickes using the pavement as the concourse area behind the big new stand gets very congested with bodies Any less you want to look at the John Atyeo statue Please make sure you get your train ticket showing PARSON STREET We are trying to promote PARSON STREET for football fans till Ashton gate halt comes on line. Split train tickets are available to Bristol(parson street) If there are at least three of you arriving by train get a taxi Make sure the taxi driver drops you in the Ashton Road end as it a very long walk round from the other end Casualty and Holby City were filmed in the City don't ask me about either of the programmes cos I think their both rubbish The young ones was also filmed in the BS7 area of the City(actually its Bishopston) Finally the block of flats on the left behind the dolman stand side as you are in the away end is "the" block of flats in "fools and horses" Bring your camera and turn up early if you want to take any photo's Pubs possibly best one are in the cumberland road basin area novia scotia pump house and the cottage. Buy your match day programme before you enter the away end. Pubs: best ones are along the Cumberland Roads area, suggest park your car and then walk to the ground. Please circulate to any other football forums and footy fans you may deem fit Radio commentary should be on BBC radio Bristol on DAB should be on 94:9fm as well We now have two big screens at the Gate, so if you have bad eyesight sit on the far left hand side as you look at the pitch. The match is shown while the game is in play and some replays but no controversial incidents. If you need any further info, don't be afraid to ask. You're obviously a decent sort to go to the bother of giving us all the info - thank you, however I'm surprised you glibly point out there will be NO PAY ON THE DAY without further comment, we, like I'm sure all clubs always get a decent extra percentage of our away support at games like this, i.e. Not sold out but with empty seats available - why on earth would anyone not allow pay on the day ? Why exclude fans who find out at short notice they could take in a game ? I encountered it last season for the midweek game at AFCB, my friend, based at Pompey in the navy, only learned he could get there on the day of the game, he rang the club to lay over the phone and collect a ticket at the ground but they refused ! A PL football team with an average attendance of less than 11,000 refused to sell a ticket on the day of the game ? I think we sold about 900 of the 1100 available away tickets, fortunately my mate managed to get one, a freebie as well thanks to someone on here (apologies I can't remember his name) who had bagged himself a corporate upgrade but it still pisses me off the attitude of the host clubs that do this.

I've heard of it, the train stops there on its way to Skegness but only if you want it to. My mates grandma used to live in Skegness and his cousin lived in Wainfleet, his Uncle Brian was a GP in Skeg, he was from Huddersfield and he was mates with Rod Smallwood the Iron Maiden manager, who is also from Huddersfield... how's about that then for a connection between your part of the world and Huddersfield?

Irritating that there's no pay on the day. I have an unexpected free day as of 30 minutes ago. I can get to Ashton Gate, but not via the Town ground to get a ticket. Would have been a new ground for me as well. Oh well. A day of sorting out the house move and perhaps going for a run instead.
I have to say I'm not expecting much this afternoon. Bristol City were hammered midweek and they always seem to turn up against us. On the plus side, we don't have Ben Hamer in goal this time, so we might avoid knocking the ball out for a corner from our own goal kick today.

That game and a midweek one against Tranmere at home had about half a season's worth of farcical moments between them!

Think I may be tempted to go for a win. Town players will know that if they beat Bristol City, there is nothing that can happen in the other games to stop us being only a paltry 9 points off the play-offs. Incredible really, if you consider the start we had and the slight dip in form of late!!

Tough game. Not a happy hunting ground for us and they've only lost once at home all season.
I'd be happy with a draw.
