Another entertaining, competitive match against Swansea City, who are unbeaten away this season, but another important two points that have been let slip. The stats confirmed that we had the better of the match but, as happens all too regularly, we failed to take the good chances that we created. Sadly, Chalobah, who had had an improved performance, let himself get provoked and the red mist that descended meant a red card for a relatively innocuous but definite headbutt. Man of the Match Stankovic is continuing to benefit from a run in the side. Sadly, the Australian referee failed to get to grip on consistent and wholly embarrassing playacting from the Swans' players. Overall, Town are showing increased effort and fight but need to convert these performances into 3-point results.
Saturday brings a very awkward looking fixture at Bristol City. The Robins, who are in 7th place, are 12 places and 11 points ahead of Town and they also have Wednesday's trip to WBA in hand. Were they to beat West Brom they could be in 4th. However, Bristol have won only three of their eight home fixtures and I see a point as being attainable for Town, at the weekend.

I'd take a point but consecutive draws are no good, we need wins. Let's hope WBA give them a bruising encounter tonight.

Pretty sure we have been hammered the last 2 if not 3 times as have been to Bristol. One of those I perceive as a bogey ground along with Preston. I'd snap your hand off for a draw.

Imo From Huddster, we are becoming the draw kings, 1-1 We have moved on from the losing mentality of Siewert, and we are starting to show promise as some of the players are now actually trying their best. This drawing phase is just part of the journey. Once scoring becomes a habit again we will inevitably get more wins and get to watch some good old fashioned exciting games. Keep the faith.

I think we’ll get hammered 3 maybe 4-1. But I did think Brentford would hammer us so who knows! Hopefully Simpson is back then Bacuna can slot into midfield.

We desperately need proper full-backs playing. This will be a real test against one of the 2 sides who have serious quality and who should be contesting the automatic promotion spots (and would be if they had a decent manager). Consecutive 4-0 batterings there don’t bode well. Having as many defenders and midfielders in correct positions will help. I wonder if we can keep our record as the only side in the Championship who have scored in every away game

I've been twice and we've won both, so it's certainly no bogey ground!! Although the last couple of times we have suffered heavy defeats and were dumped out if the FA Cup there last season.

Anybody remember the Vaughan hattrick at Bristol which doesnt seem that long ago Remember all the broken seats in the away end we were expected to sit on ,but that has now been put right Nice walk up the river from templemeads with a pub on the way

Just a reminder for those who want to do some scouting in advance of Saturday:
WBA v Bristol City - KO 8 pm - Live on Sky Sports Football
Three reasons I want WBA to win: a) to dent the Robins' confidence b) to take WBA back above Leeds c) my sister-in-law supports Bristol City and I'm fed up with her snide comments on Town's results!

But, for me, that one should be right up there for the vision shown in the assist and the anticipation of the scorer.

I remove celebrating Vaughan's 3rd goal and falling backwards off the seat as I forgot they had no back!

In theory we should have stronger team on Saturday if Simpson can play at right back and Bacuna plays in midfield. Let’s face it overall Chelobah has not pulled up any tree’s since he has been with us and Bacuna can at least put the ball in the back of the net. Let’s hope we can get to the 25 point stage by Xmas as that will get us halfway to the Cowleys 50 point target. Hopefully we can then do something in the transfer market by both offloading and bringing better plays in.

We’ll be up against Kasey Palmer. Much travelled lad but permanent there now. Always liked him as a player.

Leaking goals like a sieve, go at em from the off and destroy their confidence, will hopefully be the Cowleys plan.

Going to Bristol Saturday any recommendations for boozers etc.any fans meeting up. Loads of great boozers in Bristol. You will not get in any pubs near the ground so don't bother. If you are in the City early doors there are plenty of pubs on the waterfront. Catch a water taxi to The Cottage before a 20 min walk to the ground. Also near by are the Pumphouse which is mostly for food or the Rose of Denmark. If you stay in many of the numerous pubs in the centre or waterfront leave a good 30 mins to walk to the ground. We need to win this. I am sick of getting stick from Shithead (City) fans about our ritual hammerings of recent times.

Loved some of our football on Tuesday, deserved a win.
We have come a long way since DC.
Can't see a win here though - big loss for me.

From a Bristol City follower, hope as many of you can make the journey on saturday 30th November
Firstly THERE WILL NO PAY ON THE DAY and this will NOT be changed. So please buy your match day tickets on tuesday night if your heading to the home game against Swansea
Do NOT USE M4/M32 route and don't try to negotiate the roads and streets of Bristol YOU WILL GET LOST
Coming by road. You will NOT be able to get off at junction 18 avonmouth due to road works Go further on down and get off at junction 19 and use the A369 into Ashton Gate
Wales Rugby Men and Woman are at Cardiff stadium on saturday morning and saturday afternoon So expect M5 south bound to be very busy,so set out early.
Parking is normally in the streets around the area as long as you are there by 1pm please don't block drive ways or park on corners. If you are coming by train there is a local train service to PARSON STREET from Bristol Temple Meads
Good train times as most trains from the North as well as the London direction arrive at quarter past the hour and quarter to the hour it takes you two thirds of the way to the ground and walk the rest of the way You will pass Sainsburys on the left with restaurant,Robins pub again on your left hand side When you approach the ground I suggest you walk past wickes using the pavement as the concourse area behind the big new stand gets very congested with bodies Any less you want to look at the John Atyeo statue
Please make sure you get your train ticket showing PARSON STREET We are trying to promote PARSON STREET for football fans till Ashton gate halt comes on line. Split train tickets are available to Bristol(parson street)
If there are at least three of you arriving by train get a taxi Make sure the taxi driver drops you in the Ashton Road end as it a very long walk round from the other end
Casualty and Holby City were filmed in the City don't ask me about either of the programmes cos I think their both rubbish The young ones was also filmed in the BS7 area of the City(actually its Bishopston) Finally the block of flats on the left behind the dolman stand side as you are in the away end is "the" block of flats in "fools and horses" Bring your camera and turn up early if you want to take any photo's Pubs possibly best one are in the cumberland road basin area novia scotia pump house and the cottage. Buy your match day programme before you enter the away end.
Pubs: best ones are along the Cumberland Roads area, suggest park your car and then walk to the ground. Please circulate to any other football forums and footy fans you may deem fit
Radio commentary should be on BBC radio Bristol on DAB should be on 94:9fm as well
We now have two big screens at the Gate, so if you have bad eyesight sit on the far left hand side as you look at the pitch. The match is shown while the game is in play and some replays but no controversial incidents.
If you need any further info, don't be afraid to ask.

Only been to Ashton Gate once and we won 1-0, first game I saw Town win at my fourth attempt, however it was 1968. I recall Steve Smith scoring and Garland and Galley playing for Bristol.

Chin up! Ashton Gate is hardly a fortress - they have won just three of eight home games. Provide we mark properly Senegalese International Famara Diédhiou in the box, and we start at pace to take advantage of what must be a dip in confidence, I reckon at least a point is attainable!
