Surely with two new midfielders in trevoh has to be on the bench??? There is talk of the 75% game clause that other clubs use (e.g. Liverpool). But, no reason to not still bench him regardless. The clause usually just means there is a financial penalty if the obligation isn’t met, which, presumably we can afford. Won't just mean that though, future dealings with Chelsea could prove difficult.

On the newbies ... Toffolo - great news if he's registered - he'll be straight in - understands how the Cowleys play. King - has hardly played this season - no match fitness - that's why he left Rangers - can't see him starting ESR - 100% starting Stearman - bench until we have centre/right back problems - Simpson would be my drop though - his form has really dipped and he is the slowest fullback in the history of slow fullbacks. So - I've got it - the team will be ... Grabber Simmo, Stanky, Schinner, Toffo Trev, Ginge, Kachy, Emmo, Bacca Granty ps - I left Mounie out cause I think he's leaving but he'll come in for Bacca (with Grant on the left) if he isn't. What a day - Town game followed by The Masked Singer tonight - does life get any better? Life could get marginally better if you had the Town game and didn't follow it with the Masked Singer...

Not that I watch it of course - a friend of mine has told me about it - but I keep expecting Isaac Mbenza's face to appear when each mask is taken off.

Palmer wasn’t getting game time in our first season in the premier league. They simply recalled him. It hasn’t impacted our future dealings... Unless Chalobah is their revenge.

It's an odd one - I'd say almost all of our big-club loans have really positive - except one who has been just awful.

Think it will be Chalobah and O’Brien in the double 6 again today, having said that there’s all sorts of combinations that I’ve thought he could end up playing. Stearman at the back and stankovic and O’Brien in midfield. King in the 10 and ESR on the wing?
After how we played them away I’d love to see us get into them early doors and see if they roll there sleeves up or crumble and go not this again.

36th match of 1993-94, third division, Town 20th v Plymouth 2nd, debuts for centre-half and left back, Pat Scully and Tom Cowan, (one of them from Sheffield United), Town won 1-0, didn't lose again that season and finished 11th. Lightning may not strike twice, however.

I don't think I mind too much about the lineup, what I really want to see, after two whole seasons without it, is two effective wings... Is that so hard to ask from a professional team?
For that reason I want to see ESR on the wing, I know he said he's a CAM but every youth player says they're centrally based but need to be blooded on the wings
For me
Grabara Simpson Stankovich Schindler Tofollo King Bacuna ESR O'Brien Grant Mounié

I doubt Toffolo will have been registered in time. He has you negative sod Yes, his interview confirms he is available for Today as he states "I don't think I've ever made my debut at Home, it's always been away, so hopefully if selected I have an opportunity to do that." Not looked forward to a match this much for a good while. Can't wait to see some of our new additions.

The first name on the team sheet today will be Stearman. Schindler/Stankovic combination hasn’t kept a single clean sheet and has conceded 9 goals in 3 games and looked staggeringly shit in the process.

While I agree, just remember the old cliche "patience is a virtue", as it may take a little time for them to come together, that said we can always hope for a surprise result today as we are capable of doing it.

Chalobah has one half of football to show he can do it for me - with the pressure King will put on his place this might be it for him.
I'd rather we were starting with Bacuna or King - but with 3 other new signings maybe King was a step too far, and Bacuna might be the impact man again.
Come on boys - in this league we can beat anyone, and Brentford as a club are no bigger than us.

hard on Mounié and Stankovic. Not sure what Campbell has offered that Mounié hasn't lately. Hopefully Bacuna can get some mojo back coming off the bench like he did earlier in the season. Either way this is full confirmation of Chelsea having an appearance requirement for Chalobah

Stankovic good on the ball that’s it very weak to slow messed up against Stoke poor in the air

That’s the right team. Will be won and lost in midfield. Need O’Brien and Chalobah to have big games. I don’t believe the has to play nonsense. We don’t have another defensive midfielder with Hogg out. He’s had his best games in that position.

Brentford again, out of the side again

So what we need is for him to lose his rag and get sent off again and that’s three matches he’ll be unavailable for... Preferably incurred once we’re 4-0 up or something so it doesn’t cost us the game. I can but hope.
