Honestly anything from the board? What do they want to achieve because as fans we wanna be up there pushing for promotion not in relegation battles. Can they just do/say something that will make us look forward to next season! At the moment it looks like if we don’t go down this season we will do next. Give us something....!

Would need a new owner to come along and transform the clubs mentality and finances for that to happen.
We’ve only really competed properly in 1 season since we got promoted to the championship ten years ago. Dean was quite savvy and he managed to create the perfect storm, that will never be repeated unfortunately.
Unless we are very lucky and a knight in shining armour shows up with a plan and some real backing we are heading back to league 1.

I think all the club can say about next season is enjoy the day out at Blackpool but they could well be passing us so it will be a day out in Fleetwood.

The aim seems to be to just tread water for now and then have a really big push in 5 years and try to get to the dizzy heights of 10th in the Championship. CEO recently said the aims to be a top 30 Club in 3 to 5 years. Basically, that means everyone who's attached with the Club today, bar probably Hodgkinson, Brooky the kitman and DTS the head of media, will have moved on and therefore won't be accountable when we are inevitably scrathing around in league one and Oldham is the game we all look out for first when fixtures are released.

Ambition? What's that? The club doesn't know what ambition is anymore

Ambition? What's that? The club doesn't know what ambition is anymore Exactly, fucks me off! Hate all this ‘little Huddersfield town’ Bollocks! We’re a big enough club for complete - give me a reason to part with £249 for next season + me fuel from Essex. Cause at the moment I see nothing.

Lets be honest IF we stay up will have zero investment and probably go down at some point. Unless something drastically changes we will eventually get relegated. Simple as that really.

If the club had any ambition it would not come out and say they have a 4-5 year plan to challenge for promotion. How the hell is that good marketing, coupled to the near half season of utter numbness from the team and coach it looks so bleak at the minute and many not bothering next season if we likely drop into league one.

“Our Home, Your Home”
That’s the message that arrived into our inboxes this morning. A reminder that we’ve got until 30th June to renew our Season Cards.
No accompanying message from the Chairman laying out the plans and intent to challenge next season.
This is a little strange I thought. It’s surely an ideal opportunity for the owner to reassure the fan base.
Then it dawned on me. The finances of the club are such that he can’t provide us with anything positive.
At this moment It’s hard to imagine that next season will be any better than the last two.
The gap between club and fans has surely not been wider.

Not only that it's now £299, and I won't be parting with that, or travelling as often from Teesside, and then it's more to see friends for a few beers than watch this crap. Lived 17 years in Essex, wish I was still there, no way would I bother going that far, back when I lived there I couldn't afford to. p.s. I think the original posters location.... well there might be a clue in his handle. ( It's cheaper for me just to pay the £20 senior rate for single games. I doubt I'll have a problem if they ever let us all back in)

The troubles are numerous...
On the pitch we don’t see investment - we put out sides that wouldn’t make the top 6 in league one
Off the pitch there’s more penny pinching, eg they took the cheap option for the training ground or the haggling over the Walsall strikers nominal fee
PH and DH also now have a massive creditability issue with most fans so they can’t rally any troops
Last spring PH spoke to every media outlet who would listen predicting that dozens of sides faced admin due to covid - time has now shown those predication are inaccurate, teams have still spent 7 figure transfer fees (despite seeing nothing like £30m in fees we received). PH made the wrong judgement call and had a plan out of kilter with our rivals
And to add to the suspicion we have yet to release the end of year accounts - which covers the period of the take over.

The club have announced that we want to be a top 30 club in 5 years. We’re currently 39th in the pyramid. So, the ambition is to climb roughly 2 places a year until 2026. If that doesn’t inspire supporters to buy a season ticket I don’t know what will!
Also, during each of those five years, the club will be using all the money supporters spend to pay back Hoyle. They can’t even say, ‘you buy the tickets & we’ll buy the players’ anymore.
We may as well ignore the club for five years then come back in half a decade and see if there is anything left to support once Hoyle & Hodgkinson have completed their carve up.
It would be far quicker and simpler to just go into administration. We’ve literally no assets to lose. Get an honest owner in and build from nothing rather than endure this ‘managed decline’ that is killing the club, haemorrhaging us supporters and inspiring nothing but apathy.

Covid was perfect timing for PH in my opinion. He was never in a position to financially run the club once the players lost their value (kongolo, mbenza, diakhaby).. those who would rip up the championship.

If we go down Phil and co will set a target of becoming a mid table league one side in the next 5 years.

Don’t know what you’re moaning about. Phil has carried out an outstanding job during a global pandemic. Without him we’d have folded months ago. Yes we may go down because the championship is such a competitive league but I’ll be eternally grateful just to have a club to support at any level. We have to aim for self sustainability first and foremost. If we can sign some more Duane Holmes types with championship experience but with no fee I can’t see why we can’t be aiming for play offs in league one in a few years. It will take time though.

The club have been in a complete mess since DH took over, I cannot think of any sucess over the last 10 years. When we got to the PL we settled for staying up rather than going for the modest goal of Champions League football. Now when we hanging around the lower reaches of the bottom league, we were so so happy !

It’s so downbeat at the moment it’s scary.

Saw a stat yesterday that it was 3 years since Tom Ince’s goal that beat Watford in the PL. In 135 games since, we’ve won just 29! Whether we have ambition or not, that statistic, allied to a seemingly bleak current financial legacy from the 300m or so PL revenue windfall are really quite staggering in such a short period. I fear PHs comment “I’ve not done this to be average” may haunt as much as the DH quip “we won’t be sleepwalking into relegation” and whichever way you look at it, we seem to be accepting of a losing culture. Look at the report from our B team defeat to Blackpool - it states they fielded several first team players but omits to mention we did too, including one who cost 10m plus in transfer fee alone. We have also had young terriers lose to experienced liversedge.....not Liverpool!!!! There is some anger on here clearly, but what I mostly see is apathy - a can’t be arsed attitude towards the club which if unchecked could be very dangerous because interest is clearly dwindling fast.

They were right on both counts. We didn't sleepwalk into relegation, we full on sprinted. We aren't average, I'd love to be average, we are very poor.
