Really tough game, hopefully they’ve used the significant rest days properly and will be up and at ‘em come Monday night.
As supporters, we should be chomping at the bit, given we’ve only seen Town play one competitive game in about 3 weeks by the time k/o arrives.
You could argue that Luton are the team that we were back in 2016/17. Many people expecting them to drop away at some point, but they’ve performed brilliantly, we need to be on our mettle for this one…

Poor do that I don't think people really believe that we will win promotion or get in the play offs for that matter. If you've seem us play, we're not great to watch, floating fans won't pay for the privilege. It certainly doesn't feel like a promotion campaign from the past to me. It feels like that time we reached the play offs under Macari won every game 2-1, were dreadful to watch, lost the play offs, appointed Wadsworth and got relegated the following season.

I’d disagree with you that we’re as poor to watch as you make out. Is it obligatory to play swashbuckling football and bag the points at the same time, or have clubs had success by a more rounded route? We’re not a Fulham, nor are we like a few other clubs with very expensive squads to select from, but across the pitch we’ve not got that many weak links at present. We’re 3rd for a reason. We can’t be as dour as you always make out. You’re a decent poster mind, just an incredibly pessimistic bastard… 😁

Our away record at the other teams in the top 6 is played 5 won 3 drawn 1 lost 1 . So why people think we are somehow in a totally false position is bewildering

As I've said many times before about this season, the results are much much better but the performances leave a lot to be desired for me. We are pretty one dimensional and as said, dour. The players deserve credit as does CC (although I'm no fan of his Conservative possession style) but it won't have people queuing up to watch and part with their hard earned that's for sure.

I think from the Sheff Utd to the WBA game we actually looked the business, playing with confidence and teams finding us hard to work out and how to play against us. I'm hoping that swagger will return on Monday

Oh look, here's ART trying to convince everyone how shit town are 👀 Sometimes you can just hold your hands up & say 'I got it wrong at the start of the season, we're actually not a bunch of league 1 cloggers that will be relegation fodder at the end of the season.' I find it very strange that you only have negative comments regarding the team you 'support' even though we're currently 3rd in the table with 6 games to go with a squad that cost around £2.5m? But yeah, it's shit being a town fan atm, isn't it? 🤔

We are a bunch of cloggers, no doubt, cloggers who have got results but my god, we are pretty poor to watch whether we're 3rd in the league or not.

Massive game in the race for the playoffs. That's tomorrow away at Bolton. Easy mistake to make, the stadiums look similar.

IMO 2011/12 didn't feel like a promotion season either. 2010/11 felt like one though. 1991/92 did as well.
2004 felt like it would be a promotion season as long as we could avoid Mansfield. 2017 on the other hand we all knew Fulham were going to walk it so little point turning up....

would pearson have been in the starting 11 though having been left out previously (unfairly imo). Looks like Nabby could be our hero then from the bench perhaps ? Be a tough game v Luton, they like to launch it upfield quick and press, bit like barnsley did couple of years ago..but they have talent in midfield too. They've done really well for a 'small' club and have sustained their climb up the table . They are beatable because they give you chances, so we have to take ours because they will create their own chances too.. If Town play like we can play we should win, but that's the question for Monday night isn't it..

With 9 games remaining - including 3x 6-opinters in fairly quick succession it's entirely possible that Pearson would have played in place of Lees in at least some of those games. I agree with you that he's been left out unfairly btw.

Our mood is going to be tempered by what happens in the games tomorrow, it still dosn't detract from how important our game is though.
