I know there is another item for memorabilia but it appears not to get reviewed very often, I have today tidied my garage and moved the seats from behind the shelfs. If any of the people who expressed an interest before or indeed anyone who is interested please let me know how to contact you and send pictures.

If I started tidying my garage tomorrow, I’d probably just finish as they were demolishing the JSS…
Odd to think that will happen sometime in the next 50yrs+, nowt is built to last any more, other than Trump & Fabricants syrups…

I’ve got 200 pictures of Leeds Road and videos The Final Whistle I & II and The book Leeds Road - (Home of ma Dreams) York Terrier...
I’ve not got too many regrets in life but not getting to Leeds Road was definitely one for sure...
I’d possibly be interested in purchasing one if for sale...
Not sure how contact works online etc - I’d probably need to get the niece to help me there as I’ll have iPad with me for her granny’s (ma wee maw) 79th birthday all being well in the second week in May...
Cheers Westie !

There is a way to put the photo’s on here York Terrier, but I couldn’t advise how as I’ve never done it! I’d be interested to see the seats too as I’m sure other members would.

I've set a patch of crumbling concrete in a particularly windy part of my garden. Occasionally I go out and eat a very poor pie, whilst stood on it, and reminisce about the "good" old days.

I've got some soil at the back of my garden dating back to the viking era - if anyone is interested send me a note via carrier pigeon.

Hi,
I'd be interested in these after mine were "liberated" from my garden by scrap collectors.
How much are you asking for them?
Cheers!

Haha,so true I equally stand on a newish patch of concrete eating a suspect pie, whilst not reminiscing on the days gone by but getting out to watch the famous Huddersfield Town

Just back from Coventry it took ages to get out of carpark C I was going to donate any money raised to a Huddersfield Food Bank so best offers and you will have to collect from York where I have now retired too after living 36 years in Berkshire and Kent I am happy to post a picture as I said someone needs to explain how to do it?

Got some good pics of that game blown up to A4 size... place was pure rammed - doubt the linesman would’ve been able to run the line by the looks of the crowd on the edge of the pitch... Must be a beautiful memory for all that were there that day !

Aye got lots and lots of Leeds Road stuff orinico - videos, books, a framed picture on ma bedroom wall, T-shirts, prints etc - yeah the videos look amazing indeed and it’ll be a great memory for many HTAFC supporters for sure.. Took an old school geography jotter to the pub yesterday (to show a girl the lovely things I wrote about her sister on it - “C**b* (Westie) loves Tracy D” and “Tracy D is a sc#e# - etc etc, and on the inner page is an attempt at ma artwork of a drawing of Leeds Road at the corner of The Cowshed and The Popular End and written on the pitch bit is the scores : 13-10-84 Huddersfield 1 Wimbledon 0 (Lillis) : 20-10-84 Huddersfield 1 Leeds United 0 (Dave Cowling) : 30-3-85 Huddersfield 2 Charlton 1 (Mark Lillis) and 30-4-85 Huddersfield 1 Wimbledon 0 (Stanton)... Jeez we got away with grafetti murder on the jotters back then, but hard to believe that was 38 years ago now ! By the way I never got Tracy, she left The West Island and settled in Aberdeen but see her now and again if she’s on holiday and we have a laugh at the good old days of skiving school and up at her house half our school life !

I was born in 1990 so never managed to watch a game there, always wish I had. Looked at loads of pictures but wish I'd have experienced it. Love the look of the old football grounds you just know the atmosphere was banging. I was told a story that quite a lot of piss used to run down the steps from the top of the stand, I'm sure some on here will be able to verify.

The place was falling apart but it was where I spent my youth with a gang who I still see and speak to when we bump into each other. The crowds most weeks were small but when a bumper crowd turned up it was great.
I stopped going after the 87/88 season and played football on a Saturday afternoon instead so I actually only had 9 full seasons at Leeds road. Only attended when I didn’t have a game for 17 years. Once the knees packed in I was back and now try and go most weeks.
Football has been sanitised since those early years, but mainly for the better.

I take it that any female Town fans that braved it into there would be well versed not to get tanked up with too many pints of beer pre match then !

Remember it well as was watching it in a boozer in Glasgow.. and was pure raging at the outcome of the points being shared as it meant that we lost the chance to win and be in a higher position than Leeds for the first time in decades - Of course that situation was resolved beautifully two years later !

There used to be a thread somewhere on off topic with a load of pictures on it, old ground, fans and players and all sorts. Where did that go? I’ve got about 200 pics on the iPad of Leeds Road inside and out, full to bursting and everything in between and also empty and across all four stands - beautiful to look at and I do a lot... also got about 15 of a ground I used to go to Dumbarton FC’s well named Boghead and about 10 of Clachnacuddin my favourite team from The Highland League and their old Grant street ground before it burned down in 1988 and that I visited not for a match but a school trip I escaped from the group to go and see and still have the club tie a director gave me from that day back in 1984.. It’s beautiful for me anyway to reminisce about what the old grounds were like and I remember them all (up until the pyramid system was introduced c.1987 ish ? as I seen most on Match of the Day and The Big Match as we got these programmes in ma bit here in Scotland - thank goodness as it gave me my love affair with Huddersfield Town !
