he's such a charismatic and amiable guy, you can see why he got that extra % out of the players and why they bought into his ideas and respected him. Unlike this clueless turd we are stuck with at the moment. Even some of the mediocre managers we've had in the last decade, they were at least not such reprehensible characters as Fotheringham. I feel absolutely deflated and depressed watching that vid. I’ve been trying my best not to think about this. Bot I just cannot help feeling envious of anyone connected to the Canaries right now. They are about to go on the ride of their lives.

I know there’s was discussion about him being unavailable until a certain point but i really really hope it was never a reality

Would Norwich, or any other Championship club, have looked at Fotheringham's CV and considered even adding him to a shortlist, let alone interviewing him? Hell's teeth, I can't see any other Football League club even entertaining the notion of employing someone with his nonexistent track record. No, non. Remember when Dave Hockaday got the job at Leeds and we all laughed? It’s not even slightly funny anymore. Just think, we turned Carrick and Wagner away for Fotheringham.

Erm, this is getting slightly worrying now. If there’s anything to this - and you seem to have more idea than most as to what goes on down the JSS - then this isn’t great. We were led to believe DW wouldn’t take the job because Mrs W didn’t fancy coming back to the UK and Carrick didn’t come because he didn’t feel ready for management. So somebody’s telling porkies. 🤔

I kind of hope he stinks the place out, more chance he’ll end up back here. Move on. He's never coming back.

I will always wish the best for him as he's a great manager and a lovely guy but it broke my heart seeing him at Norwich.
It'll be shit seeing him come up here with another team too. Oh well.

Very few people actually know who was offered or not offered the job and they are never going to tell. Wagner has gone to Norwich so thats it let us get on with the rest of the season.

Good luck to the guy. Gave me the most enjoyable two seasons I’ve seen watching Town.

We dont know for a fact but i think it was more case of them losing interest in the job after seeing what they had to work with and town not up to their requirements..ie wage, transfer budget, etc etc.

I also believe, not sure if i read it on here or where I heard it, but the two candidates for the job in the end were Fotheringham and Murray (adam?) who was assistant to Valarian Ishmael, but he had just got a coaching job abroad and we needed to pay compensation to get him.

Some people can't wait to stick the boot into Wagner can they? See above.
The most successful manager we've had in a generation and, the first chance they get, they start criticising.
No idea why a minority of Town fans like to denigrate one of our most successful managers of all time. Sad people.

Quite possibly but they aren't looking into the footballing abyss are they? Try telling them that! They want Delia out, Webber out, they forced Dean Smith out and are generally pretty pissed off at the moment. Poor bastards, top half of the table, top 6 squad, millions in the bank, an owner that cares, a DoF that knows what he's doing and a manager that will pull it all together. My heart bleeds for them.

Really? Adam Murray has just been appointed as AFC Fylde manager in National League North. Is that really the market we are shopping in?

After he made my dreams of watching town in the premier League come true , I sincerely hope he succeeds at Norwich City . If he'd gone to a club on my top ten most hated list , I might have had differing thoughts . Wasn't going to watch the video but decided to in the end , but can't stop thinking "If only"

Did we turn him away? Was wagner offered the job? If this is true I’ll cut my season card up No we didn't, but he was available. Bromby wanted to call the shots and was ultimately backed, even though DH was doing his best to present him with DW (he was even at Canalside watching training).
