Of the current League 1 teams, I've got 7 new grounds (although I think my son has about 15). However 2 of those are currently in the bottom 4 and a further 3 are in the next 4 places above the relegation zone so you'd expect some of those not to be there next season.

Can’t wait to do orient and Bradford but looking forward to Plymouth , Portsmouth, fleetwood for a weekender but at the end of the day, I’ll be there supporting whoever is manager or playing, it will be more like 10,000 at home games then everyone will go to away games

I'd rather we didn't have any new grounds to visit to be honest, new grounds are not a positive.

The way things are going even Gander Green Lane could be on the cards for Town next season. Wouldn’t totally surprise me. An iconic ground, famously friendly club, it’d be enjoyable I’m sure, but it’d be an eye-opener for Town fans used to “better”.

The amount of rot at Huddersfield Town at the moment, I heard they were thinking of changing the name of our ground to 'Gangrene Lane'.

Probably fair to say that we’ve spent at least half the tenure in the JSS at L1 level or below. Before that, certainly in my living memory, the last 11 seasons have been the longest run in the top 2 divisions that I’ve known. (I’m mid 50’s)
People are obviously pissed off, but it’s mainly because we’ve spent a considerable amount of time more recently amongst what some might call the bigger clubs. People are accustomed to it, but if L1 is indeed where we end up, the supporters need to stick with the club.
Despite our shambolic season, we would still be a big draw in that first season back there, and who knows, a season challenging for coming straight back up will reinvigorate the supporters, or at least those who aren’t a bit fair weather…

I got to 89 watching Town when we finally played Spurs at their new ground, but, as happens too often, a club new to the 92 came up a few weeks later and it was back to 88, and then 87 and 86. The missing 6 are all likely to be in the bottom division next season (and hopefully Crawley will fuck off back where they came from), but I’d be happy never to play any of them in a league match.

Stop romanticising league one. Mid table mediocrity in league one is dreadful. It was awful in the 80's and 90's it was awful in the 2000's and it will be awful for the next five or six years.

Seen ma 1st ever Live Huddersfield Town Match in League 1 v Exeter City and it looks like back to that next season...
Would like to maybe try an away match at Carlisle if they were there - be like a ‘home’ game for me in strange kinda way -
One good thing to come outta it - Town might start to do pre season tours of Bonnie Scotland once again ! 👍 🏴
And another thing - it’s on ma absolute bucket list to see Town as Third Tier Champions to complete the set of all four Divisions as Champions ! 🏆🏆🏆🏆

Ta, I really should have looked it up. Although you could argue that stat could bode well for us if the likelihood of relegation is realised in a couple of months. I still think we’ll have a decent core of support next season regardless of the division. A football club is in the blood for most people, even if they have the occasional rant on a forum when we’re having a crap season.

Or actually 1956-1970 as we were in the 2nd tier all that time. At the time of our promotion to the top tier, we were the longest serving club in the 2nd division. ( No I wasn't there, born in 52, started watching Town in 64/65. My dad wasn't a football fan, started with friends in secondary school.)

You've perhaps missed out this season, quite understandably, which is the 29th at the Stadium, but 12 seasons in the lower divisions is right. The last 22 seasons have been 11 in the lower divisions and 11 in the higher. Ten years on from that ridiculous first season back in the Championship when we were quarter of an hour from going down with a never-to-be-beaten 57 points. I started watching in 1963-64, which makes this my 60th season, and the longest we've spent in any single division is the 8 years from 2004 to 2012. 25 seasons unbroken (except by the war) in the top flight and 14 in the second division are the only runs to beat that 8 years.

Yes I went to the Manor Ground in the 80’s - the game when Dave Cowling broke his leg. Good place for a weekend on the beer. Also have to visit Shrewsbury’s new ground too.

Looks like Forest green are on their way down so it would be Fleetwood and Burton for me, possibly salford depending if they made the Playoffs, not particularly big away allocations at any of those though.
