So who do we all want to be leading our League One title charge?
I think sensible money will be on Leam Richardson. He's proven himself at that level before

Critchley for me. Although if we have some money then possibly Wilder as he was closely looking at the Pompey job not so long back.

We need the take over done asap & a new manager sourced now, so he can see which players he wants to keep, & which can be sold. Too late in the summer for all that.

Leam Richardson as well for me. Turned things around restoring life and pride to Wigan when they were in a much worse situation than we are.
I think our squad will be fine at that level with a good coach, even when it inevitably gets decimated of all the remainder of the playoff team

As we seem to be locked in a Groundhog Day nightmare of endlessly repeating the same mistakes, I'll say we plump for the very cheapest of cheapskate appointments:
Jon Worthington.
He'll be sacked after 8 games then we'll bring in an absolute fucking nobody that everyone hates.
He'll be sacked then we'll bring Warnock in, just after the January transfer window closes.

No point in speculating, we need a takeover and a defined budget from a new owner, before anyone decent will come to the the club at the moment.

Still think we should try go with Hefele. Let’s face it though there’s fuck all chance we would go back up whoever comes in. It’ll be another lengthy stretch in the lower leagues. This current crop would struggle in league one and I wouldn’t be surprised to see us go down again. At least bringing in someone like Hef would give the fans a boost and he will have had time to learn under Carlos.

With imminent new ownership pending at HTAFC this is gonna be an interesting and widely debated topic indeed... It’s abundantly clear that Deano, Brondby and the board - basically our custodians - have totally lost any touch that they had in the sphere of managerial appointments...
With Town almost struck gold with Carlos (though it should be remembered that Corberan came within a pubic hair or relegating Town in his first season) obviously the board thought they’d cracked it with cheap inexperienced managers and appointed Scholfield then Fotherham - How has that shit show panned out... Then too little too late it’s panic stations way after Wigan and Blackpool and they went for the most experienced fella on the circuit in Neil Warnock - I’m very grateful for Neil taking on a task of such magnitude but Saturday tells me even Houndini could not save Town this season now sadly...
What’s probably needed is a UK manager with Championship experience aged somewhere in the middle between Corberan (39) and Warnock (74) - probably a few seasons to mould his own team, and keep Town in League 1 and then hopefully back to The Championship as CHAMPIONS ! 😊
We all like to see sexy football but I will take winning ‘very ugly’ if that’s what it takes to get us back to The Championship in a few seasons !

Big Jim Goodwin has done a decent job up in Scotland with St Mirren and Aberdeen. Now with Dundee. For league one the appointment needs to be realistic.

Some of the names touted on here reminds me how far we have fallen and are falling.
I can’t wait to see the ‘Next Huddersfield Town Manager’ odds list. Only after I’ve had a triple bloody vodka.

Someone who is a good man manager with lots of experience at this level. Morale will be rock bottom amongst those remaining so I think the priority will be avoiding relegation to league 2. I seriously doubt we will bounce back up.

Leam Richardson at game tonight. Maybe lined up to take over Warnock when we are in league 1?
