I put this on the match thread but it needs a thread of its own.
In the most competitive league in the world with a squad I considered as poor (at the time of NW arrival) I’d ever seen (relatively to League Position) this is our greatest ever escape obviously but can’t imagine many greater anywhere when you considered the fixtures too!
I will say this too… I didn’t want Wagner back and I don’t want Warnock to stay… he came to do a job and he did it, I’d hate that if he did stay (he won’t) that we could be wanting him out by September if we didn’t start well!
I also agree he needs some sort of Tribute biggest contributor manager wise during the New stadium years?

Absolutely remarkable - a miracle achieved with a game to spare. Better than 1998, better even than the extraordinary escape of 1993. On a statistical quirk - have we or any other team ever played on each day of the week in a span of only 9 fixtures from Norwich to Sheff U?

Unbelievable.
I was utterly convinced we were down two months ago, no two ways about it. Had very little faith in anyone being able to turn it round. What a ridiculously good job Warnock has done.

Revenge for the night at Elm Park with the cheat ref from Great Bookham.😉

Indeed, what would top it off is if Leeds and forest came down and the massive missed out on the play offs on 93 points+, if carlsberg did seasons endings.

It just shows how much confidence, belief and togetherness does.
Last season we weren’t a great team but we had Nicholls, Toff and LOB who were best in the league in their respective positions and CC instilled a belief and a steel and we massively overachieved.
DS had a tough task a squad losing its best players and a squad hungover from Wembley.
MF was just an utter clown and I can’t believe how long he lasted and some on here defended him, some were even saying in NW early days how we should have stuck with him.
NW probably thought after Coventry that it was far too much an ask… but something clicked and it’s just unbelievable… special mention RJ too he has been hugely important too!

Couldn't give a fuck about Massive though tbh I think I'm done with boring Sunday 0-1 against them and whilst ot would be lovely to give them the old forrestieri if they and forest went bust it would be funny. Im pretty sure forest get a 3 year run at the efl unless someone wants to correct me. Anyway, tonight is about relief and celebration.

Just remember boys and girls.
You shouldn't get the open topped bus out just for avoiding relegation.

An absolute masterclass from Warnock in terms of getting the maximum out of the players available to you. To drag this squad from where it was to safety with a game to spare is incredible.
Say what you like about the style of football but he is an elite manager and I think if he’d gone to Wigan or Blackpool he’d have dragged them to safety as well. It was a great decision to bring him in and has saved our bacon.
I’ve loved having him and Ronnie in charge and it’ll be a great send off on Monday afternoon.

I am still just kind of sat in disbelief. I genuinely have no idea how on earth he has done that. Just looking at where we were, how many points we needed and the teams we still had to play, I think probably most fans would have just taken going into the last game against Reading with just some kind of sniff of staying up. I have seen some incredible turn arounds before, but with so few games left to do it and who they were against, it just tops it all. I remember the job the Cowley brothers did when they came in, we hadnt won a game for so long, we looked like we were going to do a double drop, but they did have plenty of time on their hands. What Neil and Ronnie have done just exceeds anything I have seen. Just unbelievable. It honestly hasnt sunk in.
I will say one thing though, to the new owners... please dont fuck this summer up after all that we have done to stay up. Make this effort and this achievement worth while!!!!!

That was a more important victory than the 2nd leg of the play off final last year. The consequences of relegation would have been felt for years, now we can crack on with new ownership and hopefully renewed investment into the club!

What an atmosphere that was! I can't think of a more emotional night at the JSS

Happily eating my words right now. I thought we were dead and buried after Coventry. I was miserable and hated thinking about League 1. I said we wouldn't score 7 goals let alone get 7 more points to haul us out of the drop zone. Well, what do i know. Absolutely amazing what has been achieved. Very happy to celebrate staying up tonight. Lees was very open in his interview, said a lot about what Warnock had done to transform things. Charisma was a repeated word (please take that into account when appointing any new manager). Thanks Neil, legend forever.

Anyway forget Coventry. Norwich at home at half time... 1 0 down Outplayed Less than 10k in the ground We were totally doomed. That second half was the turning point. Suddenly we started playing. Should have won that.
