The Director of Football he brought in, he knew him from the league Sacramento play in. Fat lad, ex Halifax goalie and was at Stoke (doesn't get a good write up from Chadders and his mates) I seem to remember Chadders not being that critical of him. As for the others on social media, if you do a comparison, DATM rarely says anything good about departing senior staff. The vocal ones, or the ones who post, are usually the armchair critics. This what chadders said: "I’d forgot you’d hired him. Ended up pretty much a joke figure at Stoke Particularly after bringing in Sam Vokes and Benik Afobe for a combined £20million. Probably managed about ten goals between them in two years and had a resale value of bugger all." And there was this exchange: Million Dollar Babies, "So Edwards is represented by Beswicks and now he ends up at Huddersfield where their pal Cartwright is. It stinks. No way has Warnock signed Edwards. God help Huddersfield" Chadders, "The Beswick/Cartwright thing seemed to be instrumental a few times in bringing players to Stoke." And this: "Good luck with this one. A few good signings but far two many poor ones. Left us almost universally disliked."

If I could be bothered to do the research you have I wouldn't end up eating humble pie, which even with Dixon's ice cream is not great.

Injuries are part of football. This is why you have a squad… oh we literally don’t have any back-up.
Cue another Nagle tweet saying “we will do better”.
We we all told you that the squad wasn’t good enough.

I can't think of a much worse time to be visiting our "friends" down the road. I fear that the outcome could be the thin end of a very substantial wedge.
The optimist (or more accurate, idiot) in me thinks this is an ideal opportunity for the team and DM to pull together and set us on the right path for the season. Realistically I fear the worst, and Saturday might be a frustration too far for many ie the option of doing something better with their time on a Saturday/Tuesday might become more attractive.
Here's hoping my idiotic optimism is proved right.

Rudoni has been run into the ground for the past 18 months, no surprise to see him pick up an injury.
This was always going to happen with the neglect they showed during summer.

If true it is an absolute disaster for us and will just further emphasise how unbelievably shit our strength in depth is. Get what we deserve with our transfer dealings.

That's an absolute disaster if true, gutted for him. He's been terrific recently and we haven't got anyone even approaching his skillset.

Rudoni's injury if true, just means he can put Koroma into central midfield - hell why not try him in another position he isn't suited for. Heck why not put yuta nakayama into centre mid try that one again oooo wait put sorba in their. Remember Moore said he knows the 1-2 positions each player can play and maybe a third one if "needed". He will just make something up and put a player there, saying don't worry they have worked on it in training. But wait Darren, apart from 20 minutes against QPR, it doesn't actually look like any training has gone on, you just seem to have wacked them into a 3-5-2 like you do with all your teams and gon "go on lads ".
My guess is if Rudoni is injured , he will put Pearson or Edwards in there, as they once or twice played there years back.

With Rudoni out I have no idea how we can set up.
Pack the defence out? Go for it?
If DM is intent on playing 352 then the third midfielder has to be one of Austerfield, REG or Diarra. Worrying.

Get Diarra in. I know he’s inconsistent, but he is exciting at times and can make things happen (sometimes). Not got much to lose, so might as well have a go.

Having had two 4 goal hammerings this month already going to Beeston on the eve of Halloween doesn't bode well, the wheels have stopped & starting to go backwards with the team looking a shadow of the unbeaten side of September......Nil-nil is our only hope, if the worst team in CL can do it lets pray we can.

I actually like the modern fannying about at the back style of football. But in this situation we need to bypass the midfield completely, even with Rudoni our midfield has struggled to control games. Leeds are very quick in behind so we'd need to do a very flat back 4 and low block, and try to hit them on the counter on the few occasions we have the ball. It wouldn't be pretty at all and could easily go wrong with our defending of late, but I can't see many other options.

Going to be a struggle without Rudoni.
I’d go:
Nichols Edwards Lees Helik Ruffles (or Nakayama if not fit) Hogg Wiles Thomas Diarra Koroma Burgzorg
We looked much better with 4 at the back.
Another option is
Nichols Pearson Helik Lees Edwards Hogg Wiles Nakayama Thomas Burgzorg Koroma
We played like that under Carlos and it worked.

Pearson in for Edwards and push Diarra up alongside The Zorg and that's probably what I'd pick too. Maybe Harratt in there instead with Diarra coming off the bench. We're better with a back 4 at the moment.

Thinking back to Sunderland away last season when we went for it against a good side, we played a 433 with Headley on one wing and Koroma on the other. Diarra played and did well that game, wonder if that would be a good blueprint to follow.
