Needs to be both. What on earth is the point of keeping Andre. Absolutely disgusting performance from him and it’s like we’re all waiting around for the dealer to decide if he’s going to carry on serving up his bashed shite to us. Take your miserable face and F off back to Germany where no one wants you cos you’ve failed 3 times in quick succession. You’re only as good as your last job and so it’s proven: “In May 2022, Breitenreiter signed for TSG Hoffenheim.[16] He was sacked the following 6 February 2023, with the club three points above the relegation zone.[17]” In Feb 2024 Andre joine Huddersfield Town. Andre left the club in May 2024 having seen the club relegated to the 3rd tier. Depends on what he is doing / has done behind the scenes to possibly impress people. CC would have being hounded out of here by some for example, the following season , he produced a great season. Wagner had huge ups but also huge downs, until he was allowed to reshape the squad in his image, AB may well have shown behind the scenes at the training ground etc, to those who count, that if he gets a squad who he can work with that he is the man ? its not all cut and dried regardeding this season. 7 managers perm or not, says a lot about the last two seasons, so i am just saying that if Nagle and AB come to a agreement, it is then upto them to make it work for next season. If AB get what he wants to stay, there is no excuse so to speak. With both CC and Wagner you could see that they had a plan even though I would probably have let CC go by the end of the first year . With AB I have only seen negatives.

The league one calendar has no breaks for internationals, extra games in the EFL trophy, add to that most of the grounds have no undersoil heating or inadequate drainage so plenty of postponements & rearranged games to look forward too.......Peterborough just played their 62nd game tonight with possibly two more to come, that's nearly two seasons in German/Swiss leagues, still fancy the job now AB?

With AB I have only seen negatives. With DW the change was instantaneous. The results weren't there straight away but the performances against Sheff Wed and Boro were lightyears ahead of what the exact same players had been producing just weeks earlier. CC's team in the covid year scored some beautiful goals and even though he was lucky there were no fans in the ground as I think he'd have been sacked, you could see what he was trying to do. AB hasn't made one single improvement to anyone since taking over. The most impressive achievement is making DM look less worse. In terms of falling out with players, devaluing them, and generally going down in chaos he's managed to match Jan Siewert.

Really not bothered if he stays or goes. As others have said I’ve not seen any positives from his time here, is that because there’s so must turmoil within the club? who knows.
What I do know is we need to act fast so he’s not 100% committed for the fight we need to move and fast.

Isn't that Jake Edwards job? Yeah - but he’s probably tossing it off too - not sure I would trust that lad to run a bath let alone a football club. You could be right for all I know, but what evidence do you have for your damning opinion?

I'm still not 100% about AB...the revelations he's made have made me uneasy because it does smack a bit of blaming everybody else..it's not my fault. There seems an air of 'superiority' about him, a lack of patience..even a bit of easily irritated . Whatever the weaknesses of our squad he found zero solution..he couldn't motivate, or connect, or unite the team...we couldn't win, we couldn't score..it's not all down to the players, the coach has to find ways to to solve these problems, and he didn't. maybe he's in denial about his own failings ? We have a massive job now during the summer, we probably need to sign 10 new players..and they have to be the right players this time..grafters, committed, energetic..etc. Who is going to decide..? More importantly though, we need a coach that connect with the players, can direct, motivate , develop. I just don't think AB is that man..he wants it handed on a plate. We don't need a coach that goes public criticising the players, the club..everything. Next season, with so many changes in personnel could be an instant hit, but only if we have the right motivator in charge..and I just don't think AB is that man. I don't know what KN has said to him, but it already smacks of AB saying' let me think about it...I'll let you know if I think you're worthy of my talents'... Think that’s a really good summary, even though I’m of the view we’re better off if he stays. Didn't you forget to finish the sentence, by adding 'in Germany,' - UTT.

To be honest if your people are choosing to 1) Retain Warnock beyond the survival season - which I was surprised by. 2) Then suddenly sack him when they did 3) Appoint Darren Moore 4) Leave a failing DM in post for so long 5) Appoint a foreign technical, whole overhaul long term type appointment in a very tight relegation scrap. Then it’s the people making these decisions that are the problem. I totally agree on your points, Nagle supplies the cash for those he has put in charge to make choices on managers and signings. He truts those he has appointed, have they made the right choices ! You would say not , but also have they made the right chocies in terms of adding to the dressing room. Andre seems to have come across things, that he has never seeing befroe example. At the end of the day as a season goes, every choice has being the wrong one for sure.

Kieran McKenna took over league one 12th place Ipswich on 16 December 2021. They improved under him (42 from 24 v 28 from 22 before him) but failed to reach the play offs and finished 11th 13 points short If that happened here there’d be calls to get rid - ‘he didn’t make enough of an impact’…‘didn’t make play offs not good enough’ … ‘started well but didn’t kick on after honeymoon period’ etc There'd be some tossers, yes. But 42 points from 24 averages out to about 81 points for the season. Most sensible fans would be lapping this up.

He’s here today - he’s still not here day in day out. I manage a team remotely as well and it’s tough. I travel back every week to check in / see people in person. But being geographically distant - you have to really trust that people you’re leaving in charge are doing a good job. And I find it hard to see that ANYONE comes out of this first season with any credit at all. Players / Management / whoever. Maybe it’s old school but I think they need someone there day in day out letting them know they can’t down tools and slack off. I’m probably wrong though. Just my observation from afar. Sorry, I thought you weren’t aware that he is over here now. Agreed it would be better for everyone if he was here to oversee the running of the club. Doubt that will happen mind you.

My thoughts
AB divides fans opinion. Is he a unifying voice
His comments on the players will have devalued them, made them harder to move and there’s every chance some won’t get moves. How can they work with AB after this and how does it help unity if they’re still around
His record - with the same players (or better options after Jan) - is worse that NW, DM, JW. AB had winnable games and made a utter pigs ear of things
He has a high opinion of himself. If things are going well next season and a good job is offered will he do the whole season, stay loyal or would he jump ship. We could reset under him and it’s going great and he leaves mid season
I was on the keep him side of the debate until recently but I don’t see him as the unifying man to be here long term for the required re-set

Listening to what was said yesterday and also reading KNs tweet I hope there's now a quick resolution, as KN said.
It seems to come down to one of two things:
If AB feels his reputation and career will be devalued/damaged by managing in the 3rd tier (irrespective of the fact that's still a big challenge in England, probably more so than anywhere else).
and/or
He's not convinced by the project that KN and team are selling him ie He's not confident he can work within the structure or the support isn't sufficient.
If it's the former then he must be 100% committed, anything less won't work. If not he needs to move on.
If the latter, and he is unlikely to say so, it raises questions about Mr Nagle's overall commitment to Town or more accurately his willingness to fund a proper reset.
As I have posted before I am completely in the dark about AB. I hear some stuff that makes me think that if he has control of what he needs he could be very good. However what I have seen on the pitch hasn't really suggested anything earth shatteringly brilliant that gives you real encouragement. I can't accept the "3rd tier is below me" argument because if he believes in the project and is successful he creates momentum that carries forward to the Championship. His reputation would be enhanced if he were successful.
I wait to hear what Mr Nagle says. Although there can be no doubt that our relegation isn't all his fault it has happened on his watch. The least he can do is try to get us back to level he bought us at.
It's going to be a key few days because we can't afford to be indecisive or scratching our heads. I heard Rowett on the radio yesterday and he made the point that Birmingham have an opportunity to turn things around but the work must start immediately. If the Nagle era is going to be serious about being successful they need to be prepared to go pretty much straight away. They must have a "plan B" if AB goes and move straight to it.
By late June/1st week in July (latest) we need to have the squad together, or at least 85% of it, and be into pre season with a focused plan. It's not very long until the end of June.
I really hope JE, MC and KN have thought this through and are ready to go. It will become evident if they haven't.

when AB arrived he knew of lack of fitness and problems in the team. He had to try and negotiate those to put out the best team to try and win points in his way. very difficult when half your team can’t be arsed and don’t follow instructions. he said this many times. Then once relegated i can well imagine that he had a conversation with Mr Nagle asking for permission to call the wasters out. That’s what he did. He then played the players who are interested. most of whom have hardly played this season. They were playing away against a team full of confidence heading to the PL. What did you expect. Good on AB for calling them out . Thomas Diarra Healdey and Burgzorg are a disgrace to the profession. Clearly Koroma matos and Spencer were given a message too. He had to play Rudoni as he was running out of players but made his feelings clear when Rudoni also didn’t give a flying . He wasn’t weak before this he just tried to get them onside . Could it be that Warnock offered them an easy ride to get them onside? The ones who didn’t want an easy ride weren’t happy and their own fitness and commitment to the team suffered. All round bad for the club. AB has proved he can be ruthless and demands high standards and commitment . What’s bad about that? He could have carried on playing the wasters and kept his mouth shut and left at the end of the season. He didn’t do that because he cares. Covering his own back? Would you stay silent if someone had done to you what they did to him.? They set him up to fail and he doesn’t like it . I reckon the owner doesn’t like it either . Someone said on the forum that Rudoni hadn’t enjoyed this season. Join the club pal but fans paid to not enjoy it Jack. What did you do? Professional footballers Wow.

Simply not up to the task, why keep him? Worst thing Town can do now is assume that next season they’ll gain promotion. Playoffs at best, probably mid table finish. Wank!! Do you not think it's a bit ridiculous how many managers we're going through though? At what point do you blame the squad? The people who are bringing players in? You're just going to perpetuate the downward spiral by chopping another manager out. AB joined a club in freefall, I agree he hasn't delivered in the time he's been here but we're now a League 1 club. Nagle needs to prove he isn't all bluster, paying another manager off and detracting from the transfer budget isn't going to help. fair point, honest even. I saw no improvement in our performances when he came in to see his worth. We need to rebuild from the back, our defence was terrible all year and the amount of goals we conceded from the 80th minute onwards throughout the season shows me our fitness is horseshit too. There’s a lot for Nagle to stew over, let’s hope he works a few miracles but I see no light at present.

The amount they are paid they should be worked to their max, if they don't like it, let them try a 9-5 job on minimum wage and see if they realise how lucky they are. 3. Get with the real world. They aren't as good as they think they are. Otherwise we wouldn't have had 2 seasons of shite. Until the players realise they are the actual issue then it won't change. Personally, it's about time some home truths came out. It was always going to happen. The opinion is divided because some people still feel players need protecting. I really don't get it.

For Town he's been a a complete disaster. Staying up was very doable when he arrived 5 points above the drop zone and inheriting a team playing well 2 No they will just get another well paid football job. Even in League 2 they will earn £60k. You can't exactly threaten them with working in McDonalds! 3 I don't have much respect for the players either. However why is our B Team responsible for three of the 4 left out. Burzorg is a loan, Headley and Diarra youth players. Sorba signed for the B team. Throw in Harratt (who sounds like a complete moron) and the likes of Rowe (still on the wage bill). Camara downed tools last year. We seem to be producing "out for themselves" chancers with no affinity to the club who gave them there break/ opportunity in the pro game. Then these chancers are in the dressing with there out for themselves attitudes in there little clique with the odd waster we sign of a similar ilk. We are literally producing "wrong uns" it would seem in our youth teams so that needs a urgent review if I was KN

We are literally producing "wrong uns" it would seem in our youth teams so that needs a urgent review if I was KN More, the dressing room lost him. If these players are like this with AB, they'll be like it with every manager... we're gonna need quite a clear out. Yet Warnock and Worthington got a tune out of these very same players - Warnock did it last year in it what looked a lost cause So why was AB incapable of getting the same players to run etc when the Youth Team Manager had no issue getting them to do it for him the month before The players are not in any way blameless but I am suggesting that AB got his approach wrong. He also seems to have an ego - I'm too big for League One - and that may also have grated the egos in the building I just don't think he's a unifying figure or the right man for League One - especially as he seems like he'd be doing us a favour if he stays around (which is not the attitude I want to hear from a manager of Hudds Town)

My thoughts AB divides fans opinion. Is he a unifying voice His comments on the players will have devalued them, made them harder to move and there’s every chance some won’t get moves. How can they work with AB after this and how does it help unity if they’re still around His record - with the same players (or better options after Jan) - is worse that NW, DM, JW. AB had winnable games and made a utter pigs ear of things He has a high opinion of himself. If things are going well next season and a good job is offered will he do the whole season, stay loyal or would he jump ship. We could reset under him and it’s going great and he leaves mid season I was on the keep him side of the debate until recently but I don’t see him as the unifying man to be here long term for the required re-set I don’t see that we need unifying at this point. The whole thing needs blowing up and starting again which is why AB’s actions appeal to me despite not shining on the pitch under his watch Pandering to player needs with successive managers has sent us into League 1 Bin them off and then start a unification process under the standards of a professional football team when the right characters are in the building.

Whilst I find it very interesting what AB has said this week I think it’s a parting shot.
You simply cannot be like that and stay. Players just won’t stand for it and like it or not if you lose the dressing room you are doomed.
My main concern now is how does the club get rid of so many contracted rats???

Listening to what was said yesterday and also reading KNs tweet I hope there's now a quick resolution, as KN said. It seems to come down to one of two things: If AB feels his reputation and career will be devalued/damaged by managing in the 3rd tier (irrespective of the fact that's still a big challenge in England, probably more so than anywhere else). and/or He's not convinced by the project that KN and team are selling him ie He's not confident he can work within the structure or the support isn't sufficient. Won’t be as simple as that on a reset, we will be lucky to have cleared out half the deadwood by the first week of June. Can’t officially have anybody through the door until July 1st either. This process is going to take time now and if I’m honest I’d be shocked if we’re anywhere near where we need to be come week 1 of the next season.

I think I agree with this. I didn't like the "I don't usually do Third Division" line. He was in charge of the team that just took us there. Certainly doesn't come across as committed at all. I would look elsewhere.

Sounds like mark fotheringham’s pitch 😉 We need pragmatism in the short term while we move to what you say - which I agree with Lots of reasons AB shouldn’t have done what he did publicly Here’s another If you were a professional player - the type we all want like Peter Clark - looking to move clubs (and with a few options) would you look at AB throwing his players under the bus and think that’s the gaffer I want to work for Also would you think. The manager says the dressing room is full of wrong uns. Can’t wait to meet these guys All AB did was create new problems and deflect blame away from him
