That was when many probably realised competing in the bottom half of the championship wasnt the 'shit show' they thought it was. It’s a shame we can’t have a one season loan to mid table Division 3 and then be allowed back in the Championship. Just to see see how absolutely dog shit boring it is. Remember why Dean Hoyle took over? He looked round the stadium at the end of yet another meaningless game and realised no one gave a shit. Folk were attending out of habit to watch poor football teams. If someone offered me Championship football for the rest of my days i’d absolutely snap your hand off regardless of how much it cost. An attendance of 7,823 were at the Southend game in March 2008, which is the game where Hoyle decided he had to get involved. In 23 home games that season, we only hit double figures on six occasions.

And yet watching us play Leicester, Southampton etc in front of 15k plus is boring and not worth 350 quid. Suppose folk have different views but i said the same in the Premier League. I’d rather watch us lose to Liverpool than watch us beat Burton. I must be in the minority and maybe my view obscured that my lad now attends away games with me but the last 10 years supporting Town have definitely been my most enjoyable 10 year period. It really hasn’t been that bad.

We dont win as much because it's much harder to win games the higher you go. But I'd take competing in the bottom half of the championship over competing in the top half of league 1 any day.

It really hasn’t been that bad. Much of my 20-odd years of watching them has been boring, to be honest. There's been about eight good seasons in that time, but that's football. The period from 2003-2013 (apart from 2007-2008), then 2015-2018, then briefly 2023 under Warnock have been the only enjoyable times for me, really.

Heard a rumour that the club intend to turn over the entire south stand to away supporters again. They hope to generate more income from large away followings. Like most everyone I guess that's something I most certainly wouldn't want but if we survive then there is certainly logic from the beans counter pov! Not for me will have done 35 of 46 league games this year missing 5 home games , the south stand goes and we get relegated that will be my ST gone, the atmosphere since introducing home fans as improved match day experience 10 fold , get rid of that their COMPLETE IDIOTS that don’t even come close to deserving my loyal support over many many years .

Going off that performance and how empty the ground was near the end today if the club do put the prices up next season then there’s going to be plenty of empty seats to chose from and mine included. If the players can’t be bothered playing then I can’t be bothered watching them anymore.

Given the players have pretty much relegated us with that non-performance today, least I’ll be £500 better off next season. More if the club push the prices up. Every cloud and all that.

Anything north of £300 will be a difficult sell… 300 Christ they’d be lucky to get 100 for 22% possession and 0 shots on target all game.

Anything north of £300 in the Championship would be a hard sell, near impossible in League 1. Club know best though 👍.

They’re back tracking on the price hikes and categories they initially wanted to do. At this rate they’ll be giving season tickets away in happy meals. They’ve absolutely no idea what they’re doing, a rudderless ship, lacking in professionalism.
Fans have and will vote with their feet.

North of £300 ? Did you watch that pile of dog shit today . £300 would be a complete rip off they are a poor excuse for entertainment, get the football to be even slightly worth watching before even considering charging folk more to watch what is currently absolute garbage. You’re taking the piss out of the fan base, because they are that poor you literally should be paying folk for turning up.

The cynical side of me thinks they’re now just waiting to see what the fanbase will tolerate.
If we drop to L1 they may well keep them at the £300 mark, but if we somehow scrape survival they might decide we’ll pay more for them.
From my perspective I can state categorically, that that would be a bad policy…

Look at how many people were there at full time.
That will be somewhere near the average crowd next year. Good luck putting the prices up Town.

It feels like the new ownership are treating this as a bit of a game rather than a truly hard edged business. Today was as grim an experience as I’ve had as a Town fan. I know folk will bring up OT or division 4 or the brink of administration but today, you just knew we’d run out of rope.

Anything north of £300 in the Championship would be a hard sell, near impossible in League 1. Club know best though 👍. That's mainly because unlike most clubs, our fans are used to cheap prices. Most clubs fans (probably even at National League) would kill for a SC price of £300, let alone less than that.

If the prices rise above the current cost you'll be able to sit where you want next season. Loads of empty seats available.

Are we one of the last clubs to announce our prices?
I know someone mentioned it was mid April last season, but this just feels like another topic where the club are struggling to read the room
If, as some have said, AB was Nagles choice and went against the recommendations, this is another one where he needs to step in and realise that the only hope of a decent number of renewals, particularly if we end up in L1, is to freeze the prices again.
It feels like we have a naive senior management team from where I’m stood.

Would like to suggest to Ownership that prices to be frozen for season tickets with relegation. Holding on to the fan base in failure of a season to be the priority please

Holding on to the fan base in failure of a season to be the priority please Think it's going to take more than a price freeze. The team aren't even trying to stay up and that has been called out by the manager. I don't see many committing to a new season ticket without seeing decisive action from the owner.

If I were the club's hierarchy I would be shelving anh ideas of price increases to keep the fans onside.

Maybe Kev needs to do a Hoyle and make them £100 and promise to get us to the premier league again.
If feels like we need a massive reset here and even maintaining the current cost will see us lose a bunch of support and you can't blame people.
Only way we fill the stadium is to do something drastic.
Then he can get the manager / playing staff sorted and build some momentum.
It's amazing what winning a few games can do to the place. If you have to go down to do this then I don't see that as a bad thing.
The place is rotten so we need drastic action...root and branch if you will.
