Pre-poured glasses of Chardonay and Merlot will be available in all areas tomorrow (they're basically plastic glasses of wine with a 'film' top to peel off).
£2.50p. Not exactly good value given its about £4.79 a bottle in the supermarkets, but pretty much in line with what you'd expect to pay for a glass I suppose.
Good work. I may set off a bit earlier and partake.
(bottled lager still only in Fantastic Upper at this stage).

Ahhhh, those pies at the top of the Terrace Side One season called "Meat & Potato Pies", next season were renamed "Potato and Meat Pies" coz they said there was more potato in them than meat. Season after they were just called "Pies" Should have been called "Super Heated Slurry Pies

Merlot why not a good Shiraz?.As for the pies I`ve never tasted one yet.The kid that sits three rows in front of me obviously does enjoy them because he makes it last the whole of the first half.

I remember as a kid in the cowshed being envious of the people who could afford pies as I could never afford one, I had to do paper rounds just to get enough to see the game..... eeeeee how times have changed... I could afford two now if I wanted...

Merlot why not a good Shiraz? Cos Echo Falls only do Merlot and Cab Sauv (and a generic non d.o.c red plonk) ? I suppose its because Shiraz is the Aussie name, and Californians would call it Syrah, unless making it in the Aussie style, fruit-forward. Syrah and Shiraz (to a lesser extent) are not typically standalone drinks though are they because of the relatively complex flavours , and go better with a gamey stew or something rather than a balti-pie.

In our house they go with anything. Ours too, including the odd bit of saliva and fresh air. Pretty interesting. White wine at a Town game doesn't seem quite right - although it won't stop me partaking (in the red most likely).

I know someone who used to fill his flask with rioja every game, probably a lot cheaper than £2.50 - £3. a glass. Personally I am glad there is a little more choice than JS or Fosters. Next lets get some quality ales and Dutch lager in there as well. Why dont we get out of this bland modern stadium unformity and give the customer some choice. I always start off drinking at the West Riding and stop as soon as we get to the ground because what is on offer is not enticing enough and is overpriced. Most people dont even mind paying over the going rate for at least a quality product but Fosters is only good for pouring down the soles of your boot when you are cleaning off the dog shit.

Was 'QC Mary from the bus station' ever a Town fan?
We could have covered the wages for a couple of players by selling bottles of port to her!

Wine, at FOOTBALL For some reason I do not think that this venture will be as commercially lucrative as the eventual full introduction of bottled beer. A very strange move indeed

Yes, beautiful warm weather today in San Francisco, clear blue skies and lots of skimpy outfits - but, being a married man I try not to look !!! Alternative ending: Yes, beautiful warm weather today in San Francisco, clear blue skies and lots of skimpy outfits - and you should see what the girls are wearing too !!! ;D ;D ;D

Saw him having a great argument with a parked car up the side street that takes you from the Head of Steam to the Crown the other day. At 10:30am.
