goodwins been great at right back in the last 2 games but today he had a shocker. Nothing he tried came off and he was caught out of position on a few occasions. The funny thing no ones mnetioning is how equally bad joe skarz was on the other flank. At fault for the first goal and then got skinned again 5 mins later and we were lucky not to concede! Ooh we dont like to boo our own though do we? Id personally dont have any real preference between ah and jg at right back for tuesday and hope we can bring in a specialist right back in january.... I thought Young Joe Skarz had quite a decent game today.... he seems to become better and more confident after every game, don't you think? He was ok first half but was awful in the 2nd half as was the rest of the defense and we stole a point today. He certainly doesnt fill me with any confidence. Trying to stop their right wing from crossing the ball would be a start.

I was quite vocal with my boo's for Goodwin. He had a shocking game today, he should be on the park at right back, I don't care if he has played well there for other teams. We have a bigger problem at the club than the fans booing an average player out of postion when we have a very good right back on the bench and that's exactly the same problem I have when I play FM. Stan has signed players so he feels he has to play them.
Put Holdsworth back at right back and I won't boo Goodwin. I have nothing against him as a player, but when we have Holdsworth on the bench it's a load of rubbish.
And as for Williams, he's crap, if he is any good why sign Unsworth?

If he had a shocker then, yes he should have been dropped. Doesn't mean I'm happy about it.

So by your logic because Goodwin has had a shocker he should be dropped for the next game?
And Manc I didn't go to Swindon either. But I suppose because I show my feelings at a football game,i including negative feelings, and don't go to many away games that makes me less of a town fan

If you willingly admit you boo any of our players when they are putting in 100% in and playing in an unfamiliar position because the manager asks them to then that makes you less of a fan in my eyes. Check the definition of fan in the dictionary and you'll see Im right

do they get booed so much at away games? No. The away support has been pretty vocally behind the team so far this season (bar Cheltenham first half) Lindley, did the maltesers overshadow the whole game and experience away at Darlo? Or did you notice the booing at the end ... and the funny looks I got for clapping? Having said that, throughout the game - the support was good.

I meant games that matter We went as soon as the whistle went so didn't really notice what happened after that shambles.

LOL at your comparing you playing Football Manager to Stan Ternent managing Huddersfield Town. LOL at you booing a player who puts in 100% effort, because you in your inifinite footballing wisdom, think you could pick a better team. LOL at the idea of you aiming boos at a single player in general. LOL at you thinking your footballing opinion means anything whatsoever. LOL at you in general, you absolute moron.

Apologies for the nature of my above post, but people like that do not deserve the good grace that some would deliver them.

well matt your guess is as good as mine haha holdsworth has to play there for me especially with the 4-5-1/4-3-3 system he would have the license to get forward and support the right sided forward which goodwin stuggles to combine with his defensive commitments holdsworth is just a better right back, dont think anyone should be too harsh on goodwin, he was very very poor today but hes out of position x

How about SUPPORT your f*king team? People like you frustrate me ever so much. What possible good can come out of booing YOUR OWN players? F**k me we give our own players more of a hard time than the opposition. You wonder why we do better away when tossers put off their own players.

I thought JG had a brilliant first 20 and an awful final 70. The first 20 he was so committed, winning absolutely everything. But teams will always find a way down through him.
You can't help but feel sorry for him though!

If he had a shocker then, yes he should have been dropped. Doesn't mean I'm happy about it. Don't sweat it cos Holdsworth didn't have a 'shocker' or anything like it. Goodwin pretty mirrored the team today. Started off ok (not winning everything like the magician thinks and far from brilliant ,but ok. From then on he got steadily worse, looking bloody terrible by the end. Im sure he was embarressed by the MOTM award as much as everyone else was amused/ bemused. He wasn't the worst player we had on the day ( that was Dickinson IMO) but he was close to it. 2 decent games and 3 poor games at RB so far. Holdsworth is simply a better ,more consistant, more reliable option in that position.

Ok, I thought about this all for a while (nothing else to do, the mother in law is here, great) And I admit I was wrong to boo Goodwin. He had a bad game, I think everyone will admit that, but I was wrong to show my disapointment so strongley for it. Yes I don't get to as many town games as other or even as many as I would like to but I don't think that it makes me any less of a town fan. And as for the comment about my infinite football wisdom, check out the DATM league on the offical premiership site, I'm not doing to bad... Sorry if I offended anyone.
