I dont think that Jon Worthington should be our captain beause of his lack of discipline! but i cant think of anyone who would be good enough to step up to the plate.

Chris Lucketti is our Captain and Worhtington is vice.
I would prefer Butler to be Captain though.

Shame he cant defend to save his life The way he's playing at the mo he couldn't defend an innocent man. Boothy for me if he plays as he's the only natural leader I see in our squad at the moment.

He hasnt done much to deserve his place in the first team at the moment but for me the only NATURAL leader looks to be goodwin. When he came on on saturday he gave the back 4 and his midfield partners a reet bollocking. Its the first verbal outburst Ive seen fromn any of our team since Page left....

I've seen Goodwin dish out a few bollockings to the lads this season. I think he could become a legend in a Town shirt given half a chance. You can maybe question his ability, or at least his recent performances but you can't question his passion & commitment, even when he's booed onto the pitch by his own 'fans'!

That was just pathetic Davey. To be honest Im not Stans biggest fan but I will always support the team for the entire match duration. Goodwin has had a few good/poor games playin gout of position at Stans request but no one can say he hasnt put in 100% effort. Town fans went down i my estimation after that little incident

Lack of discipline You must mean all those unesessery red cards he gets. What is it now? 2 in 7 seasons? Both totally unjust. Or is it all that argueing with refs and kicking the ball away he gets booked for??? Oh aye, total lack of discipline Jon Worthington. Look, hes in the team to tackle and harrie the opposition in the busy part of the pitch. He gets booked every 3 or so games doing it. Every once in a while it will be through an over enthusiastic, maybe even reckless lunge but the big majority are just slightly mistimed tackles. The unavoidable consequence of him doing his job. And plenty, like against crewe are just rank poor decisions by the ref. For what its worth, if hes playing, Id probably go for Flynn as he seems the most vocal or maybe even Goodwin for the same reason if hes playing. But I don't see any problem with Worthy doing it or Boothy for that matter. Not particularly vocal either of them but lead through example of commitment.

Goodwin or Flynn for me. Out of whole squad Unsworth is probably the best leader but just too fat

Flynn gets my vote. Did it at Gillingham and seems to be pretty vocal on the pitch, eg. at Cheltenham.

not many town players are very vocal on the pitch or lead by example. thought ternent was bringing in some leaders. the only one who i've seen have a real go or try to gee the players up is goodwin!!!!

I reckon Goodwin could make a good captain - obviously passionate - I just wonder how prone to "reckless challenges" he might be if he was skipper though. I agree with CaptainSlapper about Worthy - it's his job to get in a nd amongst them, but the armband seems to weigh heavy sometimes. Just wonder if it might do the same around Goodwins? No-one seems to have mentioned andy H - I know he's not playing but last year I seem to remember calls for him to step into the captains role - certainly passionate and Town through and through - just not getting the games at the moment.

I am shocked flynn is leading this. Tbh I am not sure if he would get in my starting line up nevermind being captain. before you slate me. My reason is he shows up and scores a goal from out side of the box every now and agin what else does he do? seriously saturday he nevre kept up with play the only time he was in the box was on cornors the only time he was on the wing was when he was getting a drink. He does not have skill to take it round players.
