God Boothroyd really is the dream ticket
There was one weak aspect of our team this time yesterday morning - the manager
Get a top manager like Boothroyd, and with our Chairman, fanbase, commerial team and stadium watch us fly!

Yes but how many games are we going to give Aidy if he doesn't start well? And he has a bit of a reputation long ball man too you know. You make it sound like I'm fickle fella I backed Jacko for longer than most, I backed Richie for longer than most I was one of the last to continue to stick up for Davy and had quite a few debates with CaptainSlapper etc in the past on that subject I've stuck up for Glennon and Nathan Clarke against the grain of thinking last year, currently I'm one of the few saying good things about Malvin Kamara But .... I didn't back Ternent, and openly didn't rate him as early as September I generally am not knee jerk but I honestly rate Ternent as THE worse Town manager I can remember (over 20 years) and I have no shame in saying I'm happy to see the back of him Boothrody can have the rest of the season for me to get us moving and clear out some of the dross Ternent brought in!

Great news, now let's bring somebody in whose tactics won't be out of place in the 21st century and put an end to the dire "hoof it" tactics that this Club has been subjected to for the last few months or so. Here's also hoping for Watson to follow him back home to Burnley pretty soonish. Think I'll be raising my glass to DH this afternoon and have a couple of pints in celebration, fantastic!

God Boothroyd really is the dream ticket If you want to hoof it long ball style ;D I just want success tbh and a team I can feel proud of - reckon Boothroyd will deliver both Neither Warnock or Jackson played football for the purists IMO, and the last manager who promised "fast attacking football" was Richie - no ta!

Is there any need for that, u have what you want the man has gone, why continue to abuse him...........im a town fan through and through and i was 100% behind stan as we werent going down and given time it would have turned. As for Aidy boothroyd I can tell you he is NOT our next manager but no matter who it is i give them 5 games at the most until the boo boys start another witch hunt

Whatever the footballs like, it HAS to be an improvement on what we've been served up this season.

So Dreamboy, are you a Davey out man, or a best thing since Wilson man? Or can't you make your mind up from one week to another?

I'm sure the dugout would have collapsed by now, tho' ;D

Yes Ritchie was sacked for not spending available funds when we were in trouble and showing too much loyalty to the players who got us up, no matter how made they were. So Dreamboy, are you a Davey out man, or a best thing since Wilson man? Or can't you make your mind up from one week to another? Well he is the longest reigning manager since Wilson......... www.barnsleyfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10309~1443083,00.html How does your games per manager stats look compared to how bad our list looks? Start of October he should have probably been sacked. Moore being sent off against the pikeys saved him his job and we came from behind to beat them 4-1. Today he should get the October manager of the month award for three derby wins, our first ever win at Charlton and drawing 0-0 with Brizzle when we should have had at least one penalty. Dunno what happened on Sky when we played Colin's team.

Oh great Stan has gone...so my guess is by Xmas we'll have the same people calling for his replacements head. Its time people started being realistic, the players brought in ie Craney, Roberts, Flynn and Parker were better than what we had. No one could have predicted how poor Lucketti would have been, Unsworth would be good with a run in the side. Our much vaunted academy produces technically gifted players who frankly are not physically upto the rigours of League One football. Maybe ST had a valid point in not using academy players...it doesnt take a genius to see that they are not big enough or strong enough to make a lasting impression in this league. As much respect I have for GM, he has now seen off the last three Town managers, he didnt rate Jackson, didnt rate Ritchie and didnt get on with Ternent. Is no-one else picking up on this

Personally, l think the club have made the right decision. For a manager who thought he knew everything, he merely didn't. We seemed to go backwards instead of forwards, and struggled to even beat teams like Crewe, which clearly highlighted we were a poor team under Ternent. My choice would be Robins or Boothroyd(finances permitting) to be next boss.
